Cheddar Cheese Cookies

Posted on March 6, 2009March 6, 2009 By sweet surrender 3 Comments on Cheddar Cheese Cookies

Actually I found this recipe long time ago at Jen Jen’s Place and thought of trying it out but I’m so lazy. I save it as draft for so long.

Before CNY, I bought the Cheese Sticks from tHe Spring CNY Bazaar. It’s not sweet at all. I love it! I notice there’s black pepper in Cheese Sticks. Then I remember I saw black pepper listed in this recipe before. I think this is the recipe for it, should be similar.

Ingredients:

  • 250gm Butter
  • 600gm flour
  • 250gm grated cheddar cheese
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1.5 teaspoon salt
  • 1/3cup fresh milk

Instructions:

  1. Mix flour, grated cheddar cheese, black pepper, salt and butter in a large bowl. Mix them well.
  2. You can use your hand or the mixer at low speed. You should be getting crumble texture at this time.
  3. Mix in the fresh milk and knead.
  4. The dust the table and rolling pin slightly.
  5. Take 1/3 of the dough and knead into a ball.
  6. Flatten out on the dusted table using the rolling pin.
  7. Cut into desire shape and placed on butter baking tray.
  8. Baked in oven at 200 degree for about 15-20 minutes or until it is golden brown.
  9. Remove from oven and let it cool on the rack. Keep in airtight container.

Wholemeal Banana Cake

Posted on March 5, 2009March 5, 2009 By sweet surrender 6 Comments on Wholemeal Banana Cake

Such long awaited recipe that I had forgotten to share since last year ;p This is not a muffin, it’s actually a cake. It was only placed in a muffin cup. Who says a cake cannot be placed in a muffin cup? Here’s the ingredients:

  • 220g butter
  • 180g sugar
  • 3g salt
  • 3 eggs
  • 200g low protein flour
  • 50g wholemeal flour
  • 3g soda
  • 5g baking powder
  • 80g mashed banana

Instructions:

  1. Beat butter and sugar until well-mixed.
  2. Add egg one by one and beat well.
  3. Add mashed banana. Do it early in the stage when you prepare the ingredients and then after mashed, you can also add in vanilla essence. Don’t worry about it getting brown, the browner the better.
  4. Mix salt, low protein flour, wholemeal flour, and baking baking powder together then add into the mixture and beat well.
  5. Pre-heat the oven, 160 degree Celcius.
  6. You can then place the mixture into muffin cup or tray, only fill the muffin cup or tray 70% full as it will rise.
  7. Bake for 15-20 minutes with 160 degree Celcius if muffin cups are used. If tray, then 180 degree Celcius for 10-15 minutes. In fact it’s all depending on the size of the tray or the cup.

Don’t they look easy? The thing is that I hate the cleaning up part hehehe…

I’m Sorry

Posted on March 4, 2009March 5, 2009 By sweet surrender 2 Comments on I’m Sorry

Not going to update anything today but this. Meanwhile I’m compiling two recipes for the next two days update.

To someone…

I really don’t know what is wrong with me today. I shouldn’t have done that. I’m not proud with what I’ve done. You helped me with something today and I didn’t appreciate it instead I hurt you.

I was thinking of just playing with you but I didn’t expect I actually got all serious and did that to you. Maybe it’s the anger, dissapointments, hurts and dissatisfactions that I’m having for quite sometimes towards you and finally all hell broke lose today.

Seriously, I don’t know which sentence of yours that trigger such bizzare act from me. Even I tried to recall and I still don’t know how it started. From the beginning until today, we don’t even have time or even the chance to sit down and have a heart to heart talk.

I know you are very angry with me now. You might not even want to see me anymore. Maybe you are better off without me in your life as I only know how to hurt you and give you all the troubles. I don’t know… Only you will know.

What’s done is done, I can’t turn back anything. All I can say now is

I’M SORRY

Whether you want to accept it or not, it’s all up to you. I can’t say anything and I can’t force you to accept my apology too.

No matter what, I want to say thank you for all that you’ve done for me.

Marrybrown @ Satok

Posted on March 3, 2009March 3, 2009 By sweet surrender 7 Comments on Marrybrown @ Satok

I’m sure many of you know that Marrybrown’s first branch is in Bau. Recently(I think…) they have a new branch in Satok. I haven’t been there yet, only heard about it. Last Saturday my parents decided to buy some back to try it out after they had done their shopping at Sunday Market.

Their mascot! Nothing much to say, felt as if you’re buying those children meal ;p

My parents bought the CNY special because it was the last day for this special. They just wanted to try. It came with 2 Pepsi, 2 coleslow, and a box of four types of fried food.

I could only recognise the curly fries, 4 fried popiahs, and 3 pieces of chicken meat. Not sure another one is what, it looked like 4 pillows. The pillow’s filling tasted like vegetarian char siew. The coleslow got pineapple, gave me a shock ;p

This set was RM21+ if not mistaken and we felt that it’s quite expensive as my dad thought the chicken meat was drumstick(it looked like one in the poster) else he won’t opt for this set *LOL*.

Taste wise, I think nothing special.

Pizza Hut Online Order & Pick Up Service

Posted on March 2, 2009March 1, 2009 By sweet surrender 11 Comments on Pizza Hut Online Order & Pick Up Service

Few days ago, my parents saw the advert of Pizza Hut on the buy one pizza and get one free pizza in newspapers so decided to buy them for dinner. I remember I read somewhere(I forgot where, I think got several blogs mentioned about it before) and also heard about you can make order online and pick them up when it’s done or even deliver to your house by placing order online. So I told my dad let’s try to make order online and then pick up when it’s done rather than go there to order and wait which we all know it takes quite a fair bit of time.

I went into the site and started to figure out how to use it. The whole process took me about 15 minutes from registration to the confirmation. You can read about my experience in sarawakian.net.

Here’s what we ordered. Garlic bread and currently on offer pizza deals.

Lleft: Pepperoni Delight (Crunchy Crust)
Right: Super Supreme (Pan Pizza)

I think this is really a great service. I really like it this way.

HEY! I’m not paid by them to write this!

Why do you want to dig that far?
