I’m so random

1. OMG!! There is nothing else left that are eligible for me to blog in PPP πŸ™ I had taken up all the opportunities that are available. This is the bad part of having low PR. Sucks!

2. I’m still so busy but not as busy as last few weeks.

3. I still haven’t complete the posting of Borneo Highlands trip.

4. There are still so many interesting things to do and explore. Yet all need money πŸ™

5. You know how some people are damn irritating, selfish, irresponsible etc. to the max?

6. I thougth that I’m free from the problem already but it seems like it’s still there and not 100% solved. Ah well… At least I had “voiced” it out.

7. What a busy and hectic month.

8. I still have many CNY cookies recipes that are waiting to be posted.

Kenwy 1st Anniversary Concert

Posted on March 26, 2007March 28, 2007 By sweet surrender 6 Comments on Kenwy 1st Anniversary Concert

Warning: Bandwidth sucker!

Last Saturday I went to Kenwy Music House 1st Anniversary Concert at Kenyalang Theater. I went to his concert last year too.

Well… I’m not going to talk much coz it’s all in Chinese and it will take be ages to translate them. The whole night was filled with western and oriental music.

Photos…

The tickets.

Right: MonkeyKat, I’m sure you heard of it, the champion of Rexona Band Quest last year was there too because they are from Kenwy Music House.

Kenwy and his students presented the music of Sarawak(Land of the Hornbill) that I’m sure most of you are familiar with using Chinese traditional musical instruments, such as Yang Qin, Pi Pa, drum etc. to mimic the Sape(a musical instrument used by the Iban).

End of the concert. They were having a great time singing Happy Birthday and eating the birthday cake!

Noni Chicken Rice

Posted on March 25, 2007March 25, 2007 By sweet surrender 29 Comments on Noni Chicken Rice

Guess where I went yesterday for lunch? Kota Samarahan! Freaking crazy! *LOL* Actually, I was there to look for people. While waiting for them, we had lunch at Noni Chicken Rice, it’s the same row as 7 Eleven at Kota Samarahan, before Everrise. The road leading to old UNIMAS campus. WOW! They open 24 hours can you believe it?

We ordered Lime Juice and Longan with Milk. I can’t recall the price. Hahaha… However, they served the drinks in a big cup.

Left: Steam Chicken Rice with Belacan(RM4.50). The belacan is actually the same as the sambal used for Nasi Lemak.
Right: Mee Jawa(RM4.50). Very strong burnt taste. Don’t know why.

There! Chicken rice and Mee Jawa all the way from Kota Samarahan hahaha…

The Wishing Well

I’m sure many are waiting for this new establishment to open huh? Hehehe.. It’s located opposite Padungan Police Station. You wil not miss it, it’s painted in pink, corner shop. The owner is the same owner as Tom’s.

Went there after BTS yesterday and how lucky were we!!! Cool… It’s their first day opening for business! We went there to try out. No other customers except their own friends. See the interior first, very unique.

Walked towards the inside of the cafe and saw this water feature. Inside has guppies. Looked up and rain drops on me hahaha… The above is not closed. Just bamboos and if it’s raining, you can see water falling from the top. Natural fountain eh? Interesting. They have two storeys but we didn’t go upstair.

Left: The cosy corner, great to hang out with friends.
Middle: Strawberry Smoothie(RM7.50). They gave me a glass of warm water too as it’s raining. So thougthful of them. They only gave me but didn’t give to Jimmy πŸ˜› The Strawberry Smoothie isn’t very thick but it’s not that bad. Not very sweet I should say.
Right: Blueberry Soda(RM3.90).

We ordered Pork Yakitori(RM6) on the right. It took quite a while to prepare. While we waited, out of sudden, they brought Kaya Toast(left) for us to try for FREE! WOW!! Cool! Cool! The Kaya Toast was very nice πŸ™‚ if not mistaken it’s about RM4++ After quite a while, finally our Prok Yakitori came. We didn’t know what it was at first and ordered it because of curiousity. WOW… Tasted great! The pork were tender and juicy. Not oily though you can see fat chuncks there hahaha… They had it cooked just right. It didn’t stuck to the teeth at all! Perfect!

Really a great place to hang out. πŸ™‚ Do check it out. The choice for food isn’t much and no fancy drinks too. Maybe price a bit high but tasted great! I think they will have more coming soon.

Blogging since 2002. Anything before 2006 is no longer available. It is no longer on this server. Back then, I built my own blog and updated it using HTML. No database or anything. Only started blogging fully with a CMS in 2006. However, whatever was on the Internet will stay on the Internet. So... It should be still somewhere on the Internet. Then again... Why do you want to dig that far?
