[Vlog] Ep. 10: How to Upload Photo from Computer to Instagram (Google Chrome)

Posted on May 18, 2019May 28, 2019 By sweet surrender No Comments on [Vlog] Ep. 10: How to Upload Photo from Computer to Instagram (Google Chrome)

My SD card was corrupted few weeks back and all my photos are gone but good thing I have a backup in my computer. So, I was wondering how I can upload photo from my computer to my Instagram without using a mobile device. I did a search on the Net and found out that it is easy. I decided to make tutorial video of my own to share it with you πŸ˜‰

Sorry guys if some of you couldn’t get it to work, I forgot to add in one more step. Mine works because I’ve been using this feature for other things and it’s already set that way, that’s why. Here you go… Make sure you press the “Toggle device toolbar”(the little icon with two rectangular thinggy above all the codes, at the left side of the “Elements” button) or press Ctrl+Shift+M to get the UPLOAD button at the bottom and the toolbar for device emulation and zoom in/out. Remember to refresh it again.

[Vlog] Ep. 8: Vloggers’ Worst Nightmare | Uncut, No Filter, Failed Vlog

Posted on May 3, 2019May 3, 2019 By sweet surrender No Comments on [Vlog] Ep. 8: Vloggers’ Worst Nightmare | Uncut, No Filter, Failed Vlog

The worst nightmare of a vlogger hit me last weekend! -.-”

My SD Card in my phone died on me after I spent over two hours recording footage for a new range of beauty products from Althea called A’Bloom(by the way, do check the products out with my referral link https://share-my.althea.kr/x/pNUIYA , if you are new to Althea, you will get 20% off on your first purchase with my link). Will be blogging about them soon. I managed to copy some footage before the SD Card died and made a post with them on my Instagram(https://www.instagram.com/p/BwyEPgPhOHQ/), feel free to have a look.

Next, my video editing App, Filmigo, was updated and all the features that I’ve been using are all gone! Left with all the basics, worst than the early days of the App when it was free. It cannot fulfill my needs. It is a free App, so can’t expect too much, there’s no free lunch in this world. Luckily, I found a replacement, it’s called VideoShow, exactly the same as the then Filmigo. I’m going to use this for now but I’m not sure how long it will last.

I was using Samsung Galaxy Tab 2S for this recording and edited this vlog with VideoShow on the Tab. That’s the only device left that can be used for recording at that point of time and place. Pardon the angle, my mumbling and not making proper sentence with proper vocabulary hahaha… It’s impromptu, no makeup, no filter, and not thinking straight. Voice is too soft as the device is over 30cm away from me with no external microphone. I couldn’t find a place with good light and good place to prop the device. This video itself is also a disaster *lol*

Nevertheless, thank you for watching and staying with me. I’m pretty much vlogging with whatever I have, Huawei Nove 2 Lite and Samsung Galaxy Tab 2S, nothing fancy.

[Vlog] Ep 2: What’s Inside?- DK 3888 Mobile Phone & Camera Tripod

Posted on March 6, 2019March 3, 2019 By sweet surrender No Comments on [Vlog] Ep 2: What’s Inside?- DK 3888 Mobile Phone & Camera Tripod

Woohooo!! I did not expect to come out a second video after one week of releasing the first one. This time, it’s a simple(not simple at all, all in all, it took me 12 hours to finalize it) unboxing video of DK 3888 Mobile Phone & Camera Tripod.

In case you are curious and would like to get a cheap and good tripod, here’s the key features:

1. Max height: Approx. 1020mm
2. Min height: Approx. 345mm
3. Weight: 420g
4. Bluetooth remote shutter with battery included (compatible with iOS and Android 4.3 and above)
5. 3-way pan/tilt head
6. Quick lever lock
7. Aluminum legs
8. Built-in level

You can get it at most computer shops and online. It should cost less than RM40(online price). I’m not sure how much is mine because someone bought it for me as a gift.

I’m using both Huawei Nova 2 Lite and Samsung Galaxy Tab 2S for filming. Edit was done on the tab with Filmigo app. Hence, the editing is a bit choppy because it’s quite impossible to trim the video in a very precise manner. Nothing fancy.

Thanks to many of you for the support and encouragement in this new project of mine. I still can’t stand seeing myself in the video hahaha… Still a long long way to go. Anyway, see you in the next episode 😘

Portable 4G WiFi for Taiwan and Japan (Airport Pickup)

Posted on March 2, 2019March 11, 2019 By sweet surrender 1 Comment on Portable 4G WiFi for Taiwan and Japan (Airport Pickup)

Before I start my Japan travel blog posts, I’m going to share this 4G WiFi I used when I go to Taiwan and Japan last year. I bought them from Klook. I opted to collect them at the airport since I’m living in Kuching, there is no way I can go to the respective offices in West Malaysia to collect and they also do not provide shipping of the device to this part of Malaysia. Nevertheless, it was effortless to collect at the airport. All you need to do is go the the shop/kiosk located at the airport to collect them.

For Taiwan, I collected it at the arrival floor of the Taipei Taoyuan airport. Just show them your passport, printed or mobile voucher, pay deposit which they will charge to your credit card, then they will return you the deposit when you return the device. It works great without any problem at all. We had at least 5 devices connecting to it each time and battery life was pretty amazing. We charged it every night. This is the one I purchased, 4G WiFi (TW Airport Pick Up) for Taiwan. I do not have photo of it though, forgot to take picture of it.

For Japan, I collected it at KLIA2 at Roaming Man shop. Also fast and easy. Show your proof of purchase and passport. I don’t think there was deposit being collected though(if I recall correctly, it’s was over half year ago! ;p). You will get your unit and you are ready to go! Oh ya, it won’t work in Malaysia even if you switch it on, so save the battery. Only switch it on when you arrive Japan. The battery lasted very long! We were out whole day, using it, not a single problem at all. The signal was good. We only need to charge it after using it for 2 days and we have at least 3 devices connected to it at any one time. We were in Osaka, Kyoto, and Kobe.

This is the one I bought, here’s the link to check it out, 4G WiFi (MY Airport Pick Up) for Japan.

Overall, I have good experience with them. Feel free to check them out at Klook.

My Orders from Photobook

Posted on February 27, 2019June 13, 2019 By sweet surrender No Comments on My Orders from Photobook

I’m sure Photobook is no stranger to people these days. You see the advertisements everywhere online. I have so many photos that are still in my hard disk that are not printed yet. I decided to try this website out when they have some promotions going around. I ordered its 4R prints and also 8″x6″ landscape Photobook. For the latter, I downloaded the software into my laptop, did my album design, and submit it for printing. It took awhile to figure out how to use the software but it shouldn’t be much a problem with people nowadays who are pretty much IT literate. Bear in mind though, it does hang a bit but just be patient. There’s also phone app that you can download to do your album design. I did not expect to received the final product in less than 7 business days. The quality is surprising good! πŸ™‚ Certainly a return customer. So far I’ve ordered three times from them already.

Blogging since 2002. Anything before 2006 is no longer available. It is no longer on this server. Back then, I built my own blog and updated it using HTML. No database or anything. Only started blogging fully with a CMS in 2006. However, whatever was on the Internet will stay on the Internet. So... It should be still somewhere on the Internet. Then again... Why do you want to dig that far?
