I didn’t expect so many people will watch this video. It was my first time making Apam Balik aka Martabak Manis or 曼煎粿. I improvised it because I didn’t have crushed peanuts. It’s crispy when it’s freshly out from the pan, hence do not wait! Eat immediately! Otherwise it will become quite chewy. Do check out this video’s descriptions to see more details of the process. ASMR Unbox & Cook Halal Nissin Ramen Uma-Kara Spicy Rich Fiery Broth & Tokyo Shoyu Premium Bonito Blend
Just found out I did not post my ASMR halal ramen unboxing video here. After I posted the first video, few days later, MCO kicked in. Here I have two that I bought from AEON earlier this year. If you would like to try it out, I would recommend these two. Uma-Kara Spicy Rich Fiery Broth and Tokyo Shoyu Premium Bonito Blend. The former is great for those who love heat and spice while the latter isn’t spicy. My tip is that do not follow the amount of water suggested for the broth, it will be tasteless. Just use half of the suggested amount or less. Do adjust it to your preference.
We are still in RMCO, today is day 114 of MCO, still have a long way to go. Hope all of you are well and stay vigilant.

How to Prepare Hai Di Lao Self-Heating Hot Pot (海底撈懶人自煮自熱å°ç«é‹ )? Only Need Water!
Have you ever try self-heating hot pot? It’s been around for few years, finally I got to try it out myself. Pretty interesting.

The first one I bought was spicy beef tripe flavour. Not bad, I really like the tofu strips, beef tripe, and the spicy hot pot base. The crackers is quite nice too but I do not recommend you to add it into the hot pot, just eat it on its own. In fact all the ingredients provided are cooked and vacuum packed except the tofu strips. The heat generated by the self-heating pack is enough to heat them all up and cook the tofu strip. You can share this with 2 or 3 people and paired it with plain rice. Very flavourful, tastes exactly like the mala hot pot you have in hot pot restaurant. Even though it is spicy, it is not too spicy for me. If you can’t handle spiciness, then this flavour is definitely not for you. Check out the unboxing and the preparations in this video 😉
The next one is tomato chicken flavour. This one is not spicy. The broth is more on the sweeter side with subtle sour taste, a bit too sweet for my liking though. I also don’t like the chicken meat texture, it’s just werid hmm… The rest are OK. Here’s my unboxing and preparations video 🙂
Before I end this post, I must stress that DO NOT TOUCH the self-heating pack with wet hand or when it is already in the water. You are going to burn yourself! I watched quite a number of people unboxing this hot pot and handled the self-heating pack dangerously. Also, READ THE INSTRUCTIONS before you start! Different flavour has different sequence in unpacking the ingredients into the container.
Have fun trying it and let me know what do you think.
How to Make Easy Seaweed Snack
Here’s the old post of the recipe for Seaweed Twist back in 2006 😛 Yes, 2006! Not 2016. Now I have the video for it 😉 Very easy to make, have fun trying.
You can call it Seaweed Crunch or Seaweed Crisps or Seaweed Twist or whatever you like, it refers to the same thing.
