Horseshoe Bay, Port Elliot

Posted on April 12, 2012September 12, 2013 By sweet surrender No Comments on Horseshoe Bay, Port Elliot

We decided to go for second round of picnic after Victor Harbor. This time, we headed to Horseshoe Bay at Port Elliot.

It was going to rain…

Seagulls and one of our friends.

Left: People learn to surf (I think…), damn cold!
Right: Going down to the beach, didn’t get to touch the sea water ;p too cold to go forward hahaha… Till now I haven’t touch the sea water in Australia even though I had been to few beaches.

This is how close I managed to get to them, just right on top of my head and I could even touch them. They couldn’t fly much because of the strong wind.

Left: So many of them.
Right: Before heading home, we saw rainbow, can you see? Not so clear in the photo I guess. You might be able to spot it if you look hard ;p the rock on the right.

That’s the end of the long weekend. Tiring…

Victor Harbor

On Monday, it’s a public holiday here, we went to Victor Harbor. YAY! Finally!

It’s about 1 1/2 hour drive from Adelaide. It was cloudy, not a very good day to go to the beach but who cares?!?! It’s a holiday, must not miss the chance. At least a trip to somewhere. Was supposed to go to Murray Bridge last Wednesday but car rental was too expensive -.-” We need cheap holiday! Wanted to go Kangaroo Island but too expensive; wanted to go to Cleland Wildlife Park but some friends not keen. At the end, no plan for the long weekend. Luckily this trip came along, impromptu!

Finally we’re here. The other group of friends wasn’t there yet. So we just walk around.

Then decided to had lunch. Picnic! All the food was cooked by my friends after our hotpot session, basically all the leftovers ;p My very first time picnic in Australia.

We walked to the island…

Here we are! Granite Island Kaiki. Camwhored!

The views… Beware of penguins crossing *LOL* Give way to them!

You can see penguins here but need to pay. Suddenly, we, the girls, were dupped as penguins by the guys in our group hahaha… Before this, I’m already being called a penguin! ;p Someone just like to call me that because he said I’m cute, small, with black hair and sometimes waddle when I walked! Oh well… I guess what left is just memory.

The Aussies! The guys are all more than 190cm! The tallest 202cm!

Left: Seal spotted! It was quite faraway but it’s lucky for me to see one.
Right: Australia’s first ever breakwater. It was awesome!

Need to stand there for quite awhile to get the photo. Timing has to be right too. It’s also known as the Bridal Spray. There was bigger one but I gave up waiting hehehe… The other went on the wave breaker but I didn’t. In fact I was not feeling that comfortable with the waves, it sent shivers down my spine. Those who knows will know why. Those who don’t then it’s related to something long time ago that had affected me till now.

Next, we went for Kaiki Walk. Amazing views!

It was so cold and windy! Well… It’s already autumn, what to expect? Brrr…

After Victor Harbor, we headed to Horseshoe Bay.

Easter Hotpot

Posted on April 9, 2012September 12, 2013 By sweet surrender 1 Comment on Easter Hotpot

Interesting long weekend I had. Friday and Saturday were really “naughty” *LOL* Sunday morning went to church then headed to my friends’ house for Chinese style hotpot. We were practically eating non-stop from 3pm-9pm.

Our food. Couldn’t finish them and my friends cooked them for the next day’s picnic trip at Victor Harbor. So full!

Photos, photos, and more photos…

In between late lunch and dinner, we played Wii and PS. My arms are so sore! What a workout. Made a last minute decision to stay at my friends’ place instead of going home because we’re going to Victor Harbor the next morning, so might as well just stay over and head out together the next day.

Rundle Mall Autumn/Winter 2012

Posted on April 1, 2012 By sweet surrender No Comments on Rundle Mall Autumn/Winter 2012

It’s Rundle Mall Autumn/Winter 2012. It happened on 25-26 March. I remember I was there when I just arrived in Adelaide last year. It was my very first time watching the fashion parade that time. How time flies?!? It felt like just happened not long ago but it’s was one year ago!

I’m not going to edit the photos one by one, will just summarize it with these videos:

These were taken on 26th March 12pm session. Missed it on Friday because it was raining and I was lazy to go. Didn’t stay for the session after 12pm also because I’m lazy and not in the mood again. Oh well…
