Day 3 of our 5-Day Hainan Tour. We experienced our first shopping stop. WOW! It’s such an eye-opener! So premium and really out of our league hahaha…

Managed to take a video of the helicopter ride. It’s not slow-mo or speed up. It is the original speed. Yes! It’s that short and such an anti-climax hahaha!

Sanya was really hot in February, even though it’s winter. However, it’s even hotter now! It’s hotter than Malaysia! After having a tea break at Ocean Blue Restaurant in a hotel, we went to a food street known Sanya Yiheng Theme Night Market. A section of the market was undergoing some renovations when we were there.

We were there for 2 hours. After that, it’s time to go back to the hotel and called it a night.

5-Day Hainan Tour (Part 4)

5-Day Hainan Tour, yet this part 4 is only day 2. After breakfast at Oubao Hotel, we checked out. Loaded our bags into the bus, and we headed to our first stop, Guanyin of Nanshan. The crowd was massive! It’s good that we went with a tour group. There is no need to look for parking or to queue to buy a ticket.

Next stop was Tianya Town. It was a short stop as most of the group members weren’t really interested in seeing a beach. We just stopped there for a quick dessert (we didn’t, other members did while we walked towards the beach area) and a toilet break before heading to the next destination. We’re going on a yacht.

Here we are at Sanya Cruise Tourism Centre. My first time experiencing a private yacht.

Next, it’s dinner time at a restaurant not too far away. After dinner, there was one optional activity. We didn’t join. Instead, we just walked to the nearby shopping mall to window shop. The, we headed back to the gathering place to meet up and went to the hotel.

So tiring. Out whole day. It’s quite late. When we got into our room, it was almost 10pm! I think we only settled down around 11pm. Had to wake up early to have breakfast at 6.30am the next day.

5-Day Hainan Tour (Part 3)

After Rong Shan Liao Village Tourist Centre 荣山寨游客中心, we headed to Ocean Flower Island (Hai Hua Dao 海花岛). It’s dinner time already. So of course we had dinner at one of the restaurants. Our first dinner was various Hainan foods. Wen Chang chicken was served along with the garlic rice.

Then, we had free time to walk around before the next agenda. The light show at the Wedding Manor. It’s a top romantic hotspot on Island No. 1 of Ocean Flower Island (Hainan, China), this attraction boasts nine stunning European-style chapels. It’s famous for its vast green lawns, exquisite stained glass, and picture-perfect sunset backlighting. You won’t see any cross there, though.

Everyone was really tired already. Only after the light show, we checked into our hotel, Oubao Hotel. We were assigned a family room. I got a cute bed (child bed) instead of an extra bed (rollaway bed). Luckily, I was petite, it’s not a problem for me to sleep in there. It was a fun and cute room. Too bad, we only stay here for a night.

Settled down at almost 11pm. Dead tired! Had to wake up at 5.30am to get ready to check out and then have breakfast at 6.30am. We had to make a move by 7.30am.

Now I understand why people said you will have late nights and early mornings when joining a tour.

5-Day Hainan Tour (Part 2)

This is only part 2 of my 5-Day Hainan tour. I was supposed to go on a second tour last week and return yesterday, but it was cancelled due to low demand. Imagine I’ve not completed this tour that happened back in February, and now on the second tour haha…

After we got into the bus, we were not going to the airport directly. We went to have lunch and had the giant Jian Dui aka as Zhen Dai 珍袋 in Hainan, which is a Hainan speciality cuisine.

It’s our first time seeing and eating this. Had fun hammering it and tearing it. In Hainan, this large, golden, hollow, and fried ball is often given as gifts. It symbolizes prosperity, luck, and reunion. It is a staple during festive celebrations.

After lunch, we went to the Qilou Old Street. It was recognised as “Famous Historical and Cultural Streets in China” in 2009. This is definitely a must-visit tourist attraction when you’re in Haikou. It’s very crowded! What we experienced was still not the worst yet.

Next, we went to Rong Shan Liao Village Tourist Centre 荣山寨游客中心 for a quick visit and toilet break before continuing the journey. It didn’t interest us. The main aim was to use the toilet before a longer journey to get dinner and check-in to the hotel.

5-Day Hainan Tour (Part 1)

It’s April hahaha… Only now I start to compile the post of my 5-Day Hainan tour here. It happened back in early in February 2026, just before CNY 2026. To be exact, 3-7 February. In fact, we’re on the plane back to Kuching at midnight on 7 February. It’s a chartered flight. We flew directly from Kuching International Airport to Haikou Meilan International Airport.
