Sue The Blogger?

I was in the middle of my class today and got two SMSes and miss call from my friend. I only managed to check them during the break. It happened that some company from Johor wanted to sue a blogger from Kuching who is now residing in KL because of a blog post that the blogger made months back. I cannot reveal the details on who they are for the time being.

It happened that the blogger blogged about a shop in Kuching that has several branches around Kuching and throughout Malaysia(if not mistaken) asking people to beware of them because of scam. OK… I read that post before and I definitely agree with it because the blogger is not the only one thinks so, I think so too as I personally came across them also but never got scammed because I never bother, so does other people that I know and I also heard people talking about it everywhere asking friends to beware of this company. HEY! We are not 1 year old kid OK?!?! Scam or no scam we know very well ourselves. We are the consumers and we have the responsibility to report something or let people know when something’s not right. They want the blogger to remove the post because it tarnished their image and resulting in loss. If the blogger doesn’t want to remove, then they will file a lawsuit. The problem is that it’s a real encounter else there won’t be story about it.

OH PLEASEEE!! EXCUSE ME! If you are so much of doing a legal business, you surely won’t be using measures or ways that make the consumer feel uncomfortable about the trustworthiness of your company. You should use a “proper” way to do business instead the way you choose are more of the “scammer” way. Blame yourself for using such technique!

Why I know about it? That’s because we are providing the platform for blogging for that blogger. They want to sue us if we don’t provide details of the blogger to them and we have the right of not disclosing the details after consulting a lawyer. SO what!??! Want to sue us too? Saying that we didn’t monitor the things that we host. You might as well sue Streamyx also since Streamyx was the one providing the Internet access to allow the blogger to update. Also since we are reseller only, you might as well go sue the provider of the server that provides the server to us because the provider didn’t check on contents that are hosted in the server.

ONE WORD… STUPID! On the other hand, I think that blogger would be really famous if the identity is leaked hahaha… Did a search on the topic, the blogger listed No.1 in Google for it!! No wonder they want to sue 😛 Hahaha… For now, that’s all I can let you know. So? Think twice before blogging? Or next time, better don’t be so direct?

I hope this issue will solve soon -.-” All the best to the blogger. What do you think of this? Should the post be removed since it’s a real thing that happened? Should the blogger fight on?

Update: The company said that they will give one week grace period. If nothing is done, they will take legal action. However, according to the lawyer that we had consulted, we were told to wait for the legal letter. Guess what?!?!? They even contacted Yahoo and Google to remove the listing. To laugh or to cry?!?! Hmm…

07-07-08: The post is removed but I don’t think this will be the end of the case yet. We’ll wait and see.

Allow me to rant as I’m running out of things to blog or rather a bit lazy to find a topic hahaha… You can visit irenelaw.com or irenelaw.net as there’s some updates there 😛

DAMN! I’m so piss with some people. Met a lot lately. Don’t be perasan ok?!?! I’m not referring to you. If you feel it, then think about it, you think what you’re doing is right? Maybe… As you only think of yourself.

I so hate people wanting to meet me last minute without making an appointment(be it work or personal matter) with me or not bother to ask me whether I’m convenient or not and just assume that one phone call would get me flying to their way to serve or meet them! Then when I rejected, they would summarise that I didn’t have any dedication in whatever I’m doing or I didn’t give them face as a friend. Excuseeee me! Who do you think you are?!?! You are busy, I’m not busy?

If it’s personal matter, it would depend on my mood. The worst is in work as they think that you must follow what they said as they are the one paying you. I’m sure we all have experiences with people like this. We all hate it!

Being in this field(you know what I work as, if you don’t then hahaha… Find out for yourself) for 4 years going on to 5 years, I had encountered many people like this. Usually people like this will give you many unwanted troubles and non-sense. I wouldn’t bother to entertain them anymore. It just can’t justify the cost I’m spending be it monetarily, mentally, and physically.

No dedication? Bo xim? You better check on yourself. If you do have dedication or “wu xim”, then you should make an effort to block a time with me to meet up with me instead of giving me a call any time, any place and expect me to meet you right after the phone call. Of course, I won’t give in if this happen unless it’s life and death situation. I never give in to request like this. I have to protect my own interest, I also have my own things to do, I’m also as busy as you are.

If you tell me that you are busy, you don’t know what time you are free and you will call me when you are free so that we can meet up. Hello?!?!? So, you expect me to wait for your call the whole day and cannot tend to my own things or have to give up on other appointment(s) just because I have to meet you? If you don’t call the whole day or call at the very last moment saying that you can’t seem to find time to meet me then you are only wasting my time!

I know I can go ahead with my own agendas but what if by the time you call me, I’m not convenient to answer your call or I’m in another meeting with other people, then how? That’s why it’s important to make an appointment in advance, block a time so that we can both spare that amount of time to meet up and dedicate ourselves to what we want to do.

So? You think people like this is dedicated and very wu xim? Do you like to waste your time with this kind of people? Sigh…

Dell engineer would be coming later to change some components of my XPS. Sigh… If it’s still not fixed for the second time, I will demand a full refund, by then I willl have to use back my old laptop until I got a new one. NO!!! *cross my fingers*

Update: Replaced motherboard again -.-” now also replaced the fan. It was quite heated when tested but nothing much can be done as anything that need to be replaced is replaced. So just have to test it for few more days to see whether problem still presist. Now I’m using it, so far so good, not that heated anymore.

It’s been a while not getting tagged hahaha… This time got tagged by Lil’ Ms Pinky because she said that she still owed me her french twist tutorial 😛 I love french twist but never got it right and she’s so good in doing it because she was an air stewardess with MAS before. I think her french twist was her signature back then.

I have high respect for air stewardesses, stewards, the pilots and the engineers. Not all are bad, even if they are bad, that’s their personal life, you are no one to judge, their job is to make sure you reach your destination as comfortable and as safe as possible. In any profession, there’s bound to have good and bad people and usually the bad ones make the rest looked ugly but we should not generalised people like this. Some of you might know that one of my ambitions when I was a little girl was to join the airline as air stewardess hehehe… Too bad, I’m too short, that’s it, period. ;p

Have you ever think of organ donation? I think, if I’m not mistaken, all you need to do is get the organ donation card to fill in and keep it with you such as in your wallet, handbag or with some important documents. In case something happen to you, those who found the card can help you convey your intention to the hospital to harvest your organs and donate to those that needs them.

There’s a need of such awareness. We always heard about blood donation, organ donation is not always heard of but it’s something important just like blood donation. It’s encourage by all religions, at least for the religions that I know of because it’s a good thing to do. Imagine when you are dead, your healthy organs can help those in need and keep them alive since you won’t need it anymore by then. It’s something very noble.

As for me, I haven’t do aything to be a donor yet but I don’t mind donate mine by then. At least my intention is made known here hahaha…

Gawai This Year With Diesel Woe

This year is quite different from the previous years. One obvious different is that both my maternal grandparents are no longer with us. We went back to my mom’s kampung this year for Gawai visiting to visit those relatives that I totally have no idea about. They had helped out during both the funerals and as a gratitude, it’s best to pay them a visit.

While on the way to Serian, dad wanted to refuel the car(we needed diesel) so that we could go visiting to the other kampung later. Guess what!?!? All the petrol stations along the way in Kuching, Shell and Petronas, had no diesel anymore!! *HORROR* Luckily when we’re at Kota Semarahan, we decided to try our luck at the newly opened Shell station. YAY! They had stock. WHAT ON EARTH IS GOING ON!! AARG!! *ANGRY* Immediately not long after that, more and more vehicles coming in to get diesel -.-” Imagine hunting for diesel all over Kuching and had to go till Kota Samarahan to get it, the agony… If this problem still going on you’ll defintely see all the chaos in Malaysia. Maybe no subsidies of fuel might help? This is not my opinion, I read it from somewhere, don’t remember where. It stated that the subsidies are making it worst. *SHRUG*

My first time visiting so many houses during Gawai and OMG so many unknown relatives I have *LOL*. Just for your information, I didn’t attend both funerals due to some unforeseen circumstances so I’ve never seen most of them. All these years, my parents only brought us to visit those relatives closest to us instead of the further ones. This year is really different and exhausting. The weather didn’t help much too as it’s hot and humid and later in the evening it rained! Had to coat in the rain when we visited the last house and when going back to our car.

Anyway, main aim is to show you the must-have during Gawai besides tuak(rice wine). I’ve never drink any and my mom’s kampung doesn’t have it also because they don’t make it due to their religion. Here are the local delicacies that you will usually see during Gawai.


Left: I’m no sure what people call this :p We call this “beehive” hehehe… The sweetened flour(not sure which type of flour though) batter is placed in a mould and deep fried. It would float out to the oil surface from the mould once it’s cooked.

Right: This is known as kueh jala, jala means net. I would say this is the most popular among the local. These are not made from beehoon/vermicelli, it’s also from sweetened flour(not sure which type of flour though) and the batter is dripped with fast turning motion to make this kind of effect into the hot boiling oil using some sort of sieve, not the normal type of sieve though, it has many small holes, not too far and not too close apart to allow the batter to drip into the oil.

I DON’T KNOW HOW TO EXPLAIN!!! 😛 hahaha… But I think you are smart enough to figure out what I’m trying to tell you *LOL*

YAY! Going to Penang!! 16th-20th October 2008. Anyone in Penang? 😛


Few days ago, there were only some tyres there. Now! It’s pilling up and becoming a mountain of tyres soon!

What the f***! What’s wrong with these people?!?!?! I think we will be seeing another bout of dengue fever in this area again soon! *touch wood* I really hope whoever is doing this thing will get his whole family down with serious dengue fever.

For those that you know who you are, this is the time for you to shine and prove it to us that you are far more effective than you-know-who. Take this chance. It’s an opportunity for you. It’s in your hand now, don’t push it to another counterpart, people are putting high hope on you. If the bout of dengue fever started, people will be blaming you but not others.

Damn it to whoever that dump those tyres there!
