Winter Shopping on Ebay

Posted on June 16, 2011June 18, 2011 By sweet surrender No Comments on Winter Shopping on Ebay

That concludes my winter shopping on Ebay ;p I hope… Basically I got what I need. Bought 4 things on Ebay.

First, it was Maybelline Forever Strong +Iron & Express Finish.

Second, a hooded winter jacket.

I did my research around Rundle Mall and found them too expensive compared to the prices I got on Ebay. So I ended up buying this on Ebay for only AUD21.12 (USD22.44), free postage. It came from Hong Kong. Got into quarantine, so funny but after they checked, nothing was removed. I took a risk to buy it not knowing whether it’s gonna be warm enough or not. Good thing, I made the correct decision, it’s warm enough. The hood is great for the sudden rain since it’ll rain on and off during the winter and umbrella is just useless because of the wind.

Third, a bag from Korea. This is because the bag I was using ever since I’m here was a temporary one. It’s too kiddy *LOL* Definitely not suitable for some formal events such as interview and even some dressing up. Thought of shopping for one here but ended up buying from Ebay.

I decided to go on Ebay just to search around to see if there’s any deal and found it! Original price was AUD20+ but after discount, it’s AUD17.76 (USD18.99). Free shipping too. I didn’t expect the quality to be good for the price I’m paying. When it arrived, it blew me off, it didn’t only come in plastic bag but it has a storage bag with it too (the white one under the bag). Other than the shape isn’t symmetrical, the zippers, buttons, straps, sewing, material and so on are quite good for the price I’m paying. With the 3 compartments, and some small compartments in there, it’s just nice for me to use.

Fourth, a winter tights. I should have buy one back in Kuching when I bought a pair of leggings from 3 Dots since there’s special price if I bought two but I thought I won’t need it, I didn’t go for the offer. Who knows… I need it! So… Have to buy one now…

Similarly, surveyed the market in Adelaide city, again, price wasn’t satisfactory. So I bought from Ebay, this was shipped from Singapore, I thought it’s from China. What a surprise. It’s AUD6.99 (USD7.70). Free shipping also.

Overall, I’m satisfied with my purchases 😉 Managed to save quite a fair bit than buying them here even though the winter sale is now on. I still don’t see any cheaper stuffs. I was expecting more discount *LOL*. At least I can utilize my Paypal fund and the money I have here can be used for other things like food.

Donut King @ Myer Centre

Posted on June 13, 2011June 13, 2011 By sweet surrender No Comments on Donut King @ Myer Centre

Saw several outlets of Donut King in Rundle Mall but never got the chance to try it until last week.

It’s an Australian company. Its key product is donut, obviously…

Look at the price! That explains why I never dare to try it hahaha…

It’s a good thing I found a voucher stating that I can buy a coffee at AUD3.50 and get two classic cinnamon donuts. After asking my friend whether it’s a good deal or not and he said that it was! So I gave him for the coffee(I don’t drink coffe) and had the donuts for myself ;p.

The donut actually cost $1.20 each, it’s not big, smaller than what we usually get from JCo, Krispy Kreme, or Big apple. However, it’s quite fluffy. It was pipping hot, not the usual cold donut you get. The coffee normally costs $3.20. Means, I got the donuts for only 30 cents! That’s a deal for sure.

Collection of Food I Cooked in Adelaide (5)

Posted on June 11, 2011June 11, 2011 By sweet surrender No Comments on Collection of Food I Cooked in Adelaide (5)

Finally got some time to do this post. There’s quite a gap in this post, I in this collection because I didn’t do any cooking that time because there’s people who cooked for me.

Left: 15/4/2011, lunch. Microwaved chicken wing marinated with salt and pepper (ignore the hair ;p) and iceberg lettuce with butter rice.

Right: 14/4/2011, dinner. Butter rice with with Heinz Big’ n Chunky Flaming Chicken served with iceberg salad.

Left: 16/4/2011, lunch. Sweet chilli tuna stir fried with French bean and Carrot rice.

Right: 16/4/2011, dinner. Fried rice with bok choy and carrot. The seasoning for the fried rice was garlic, soy and honey sauce.

Left: 18/4/2011, lunch. Fried noodle with sweet chili tuna and red and green capsicum.

Right: 19/4/2011, dinner. Leftover taco from dinner the other night. I didn’t cook, it was my friend who bought the taco set and just added in beef. I had it with iceberg salad. Anyway… I modified the leftover for my next day dinner.

Left: 20/4/2011, dinner. Heated up the taco filling leftover and dump in my rice. Mixed them well in the pot and served hot. Quite nice.

Right: 21/4/2011, lunch. Noodle in seaweed soup with tomato and egg.

Left: 22/4/2011, lunch. Fried noodle with red and green capsicum and carrot. The sauce was garlic, soy and honey sauce. My microwaved chicken wings was overcooked ;p No idea how long and used too high heat and too long cooking time. Marinated with chicken stock, salt, pepper, garlic, soy and honey sauce.

Right: 26/4/2011, lunch. Stir fried vegetables with microwaved chicken wings. Same marinate used except this time not overcook ;p

Left: 28/4/2011, lunch. I got lazy, just did a quick one, white bread with blanched carrot and iceberg lettuce dressed with sweet chili and a cup of instant corn soup.

Right: 29/4/2011, lunch. Oriental fried rice, it’s just from the packet. I added in mixed vegetables only. I’ll have some posts about some of the ingredients I used some other time such as the canned food or instant rice mix and more.

Left: 30/4/2011, lunch. Noodle in seaweed soup with carrot and chicken meat.

Right: 1/5/2011, dinner. Leftover oriental fried rice and two slices of leftover Hot Mexican pizza. Apparently the rice was undercooked ;p I didn’t have enough water when cooking it hehehe…

There you go… More coming when I have the luxury of time. Exam in about 20 days. Done with my assignments. Now have to get into the mood of revision.

Only started blogging fully with a CMS in 2006. However, whatever was on the Internet will stay on the Internet. So... It should be still somewhere on the Internet. Then again... Why do you want to dig that far?
