HUAWEI WATCH D2

KUALA LUMPUR, 19 NOVEMBER 2024 – Huawei Consumer Business Group (CBG) Malaysia is excited to introduce the latest additions to its Health Forward wearable with the launch the brand-new HUAWEI WATCH D2 (RRP: RM1,999), Huawei’s first next-generation pro-level wrist-based ambulatory blood pressure monitoring (ABPM) device1. This marks a significant step forward in wearable technology, embodying Huawei’s commitment to “Health Forward.” Pre-orders are now open until Friday, 29 November 2024 offering tech enthusiasts and fitness fans a chance to be among the first to experience these remarkable devices, complete with exclusive pre-order gifts.

Unveiled during the HUAWEI Innovative Product Launch event in Barcelona, Spain, the European CE (MDR) medical-certified HUAWEI WATCH D2 delivers 24-hour accurate blood pressure measurement, ushering in a new era of on-the-go blood pressure management, and is powered by the all-new HUAWEI TruSense System for faster and more accurate results.

Bringing The Future of Health Monitoring to Your Wrist

Throughout the day, factors such as work stress, lifestyle pressures, and dietary habits can cause emotional fluctuations, leading to changes in blood pressure, making it necessary to monitor blood pressure dynamically and identify potential hypertension risks. However, not many have the means to monitor their health conditions at all times, even with the help of technology.

All mainstream guidelines for hypertension management – including ISH 2020 Global Hypertension Practice Guidelines, 2017 ACC/AHA Blood Pressure Guideline, and 2018 ESC/ESH Clinical Practice Guidelines for the Management of Arterial Hypertension – have recommended ABPM as one of three blood pressure measurement modes for hypertension diagnosis. ABPM is also heralded as the gold standard for monitoring symptoms and treating hypertension.

Recognising the importance of effective health management as well as the cost and convenience of traditional ABPM devices, Huawei has established a long-term partnership with global hypertension experts, including George S. Stergiou, President-Elect International Society Hypertension, and Professor Wang Jiguang, President of the Chinese Hypertension League, in addition to the decade-long research and development in blood pressure technology and three years of tech optimisations.

HUAWEI WATCH D2 brings 24-hour blood pressure monitoring to your wrists. The watch utilises the airbag to inflate and measure blood pressure at intervals with smart reminders in the day, and sleep measurements at night. It supports measurements in multiple scenarios, including standing, sitting or semi-lying positions in the day, as well as automatic internal measurements at night.

World’s First Smartwatch with Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitoring (ABPM) Approved by the Malaysian Medical Device Authority, National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) and Medical Device Regulation (MDR)

The launch of the HUAWEI WATCH D2 introduced a ground-breaking innovation as world’s first wrist-based, ambulatory blood pressure monitoring (ABPM) device2 approved by both the National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) and Medical Device Regulation (MDR), as a result of close cooperation with global authoritative experts. This is made possible with the latest HUAWEI TruSense System, after having innovated in research around blood pressure for the last decade.

With a single tap, users can measure 9 body indicators and generate a Health Glance9 report to identify potential health risks which include heart rate, blood pressure, blood oxygen, stress, body temperature, ECG, vascular elasticity, pulse wave arrhythmia, and Sleep breathing awareness. HUAWEI WATCH D2 is also Huawei’s first smartwatch with a blood pressure analysis function in the Health Glance.

Additionally, it also brings features such as over 80 exercise modes10, with daily task tracking around exercise, diet, sleep, weight, and stress, to help users develop habits that form a healthy lifestyle to support blood pressure management.

First Visit to Legoland Windsor

Posted on November 11, 2024November 7, 2024 By sweet surrender 2 Comments on First Visit to Legoland Windsor

When I was in the UK back in August, we went to Legoland Windsor (Winkfield Rd, Windsor SL4 4AY, United Kingdom) for 2 continuous days. We stayed at Coppid Beech Hotel instead of the accommodation in the amusement park. We drove there from our hotel every morning after breakfast.

Legoland Windsor
How to buy ticket? How to get there?

It’s best to buy LEGOLAND® Windsor Resort Ticket before you go there. Just buy it from the official website. You can drive there if you want. Google Maps is good enough.

If you’re a tourist with no transport and is going to Legoland Windsor while you’re in London, the 1-Day Admission Ticket + Round-trip Transfer is highly recommended. The pick-up and drop-off is at Victoria Coach Station. It can be purchased on Klook. This is suitable for those who are not driving. Getting the ticket and the transportation ready before arrival will save you all the troubles later.

My First Legoland Visit

One day is definitely not enough if you want to play many rides. You’ll spend a lot of time queuing for the rides especially on weekends and holidays. You also have to plan your time properly so that you won’t miss various shows. It’s useful to download the app to check the queue time.

However, mobile signal there wasn’t good when I was there. Legoland has its own Wi-Fi if I’m not mistaken but was congested too. It was rather packed. We were there during summer holiday and coincided with Bank Holiday. Hence, do keep your entourage together if possible or you might have problem reaching each other.

Here’s my Instagram posts sharing some experiences and also photo dumps of Legoland Windsor.

Which Legoland had you visited around the world? I guess this is my first and my last hahaha… Generally, amusement parks entry fees are expensive. It’s not worth it if you don’t get on the rides. Kind of hate the waiting time too. The food is expensive and nothing to rave about as well. Anyway, I’m not an amusement park enthusiast but don’t mind going if there’s no choice aka I’m not the one paying LOL!

Coppid Beech Hotel Quick Review

Posted on November 4, 2024October 28, 2024 By sweet surrender 4 Comments on Coppid Beech Hotel Quick Review

Had the opportunity to stay at Coppid Beech Hotel (John Nike Way, Bracknell RG12 8TF, United Kingdom) for 4 days 3 nights when I was in the UK in August.

It’s a 5-hour plus drive from our place to the hotel. While on the way there, we made a stop at a Services for lunch. We had KFC and noddles from Chopstix Noodle Bar.

After having our lunch and toilet break, we continued driving to meet our relative first before going to the hotel. By the the time we reached the hotel, it was already 8pm or so. After all of us had settled down, it’s almost 10pm-ish. We called it a night as we need to wake up early the next day to Legoland Windsor.

Hope that you find this quick review useful. It’s certainly an option to consider if you don’t want to live in Legoland and you want to keep your family in one room.

A Visit to Northern Dales Farmer’s Markets

Posted on October 28, 2024October 28, 2024 By sweet surrender No Comments on A Visit to Northern Dales Farmer’s Markets

On a Sunday morning, we decided to head out early to visit the Northern Dales Farmer’s Markets during our summer vacation. The market happens on the third Sunday of every month. We’re in luck as we’re there on the said day in August.

You can find them at Thirsk, Hartlepool, Middlesbrough, Borough of Stockton-on-Tees, Stokesley, and Northallerton. They don’t happen on the same days. You have to check out their FB page to get updates of the dates or any news related to the markets.

It’s a very small market but with lots of choices of products from individuals and local businesses to see and buy. It is best to go early if you want to get something as they ran out fast. Quite an interesting monthly event to support the local businesses.

We bought some cupcakes, scotch eggs, kimchi, and samosa for lunch. After that, we went to watch movie

Watch a Musical at Darlington Hippodrome

Posted on October 21, 2024October 14, 2024 By sweet surrender No Comments on Watch a Musical at Darlington Hippodrome

What to do in Darlington located in the North East of England? Why not spend an afternoon watching a musical, comedy, drama, and more. You can do that at Darlington Hippodrome (Parkgate, Darlington DL1 1RR, United Kingdom). It’s an an Edwardian theatre. At the same time, you can learn about the history of the place and theatre performances in the mini galleries located inside the building too.

I was fortunate enough to catch the Cirque – The Greatest Show on 17th August 2024 when I was in the England. It’s certainly an interesting experience. It’s my first time watching such performance.

Certainly worth it to plan a visit here if you don’t feel like exploring around. Just sit back, relax, and enjoy the show for an afternoon. The building itself is a history of its own dated back to 1907. You can check out what they are showing on the official website. One thing though… Do not expect it to be grand or big. It’s quite small and good enough to avoid big crowd if you dislike crowds.
