Bioglo Cherry Pink Lip Cream

Posted on February 3, 2014February 4, 2014 By sweet surrender 4 Comments on Bioglo Cherry Pink Lip Cream

Bioglo Cherry Pink Lip Cream was given to me as a gift. Finally tried it out last few days. You can only buy this from Cosway.

This product claimed to be able to lighten your discoloured lips and also can be used on the nipple to lighten the nipple colour.

How is it?

Colour: It’s white but will change to pink after you applied on your lips or nipple. I didn’t try it on my nipple though ;p Only lips. I really like the colour. Very natural looking.

Ease of application: The consistency isn’t creamy or the normal texture you find in lip gloss or cream. A brush is included with the product to allow better application. The texture is kind of clotted and dry but once it touches the lips, it will melt.

Result: Colour is great but I noticed my lips peeled at the end of the day. Then on the second day, after using it, I have a small bump on my lower lip which reminded me of the previous reaction I had when I used a lip balm that caused my lips to develop lots of tiny bumps causing it to be rough but I don’t remember which one, I thought I blogged about it before but can’t seem to find it. I guess this is not suitable for me. Likely that I’m allergic to certain ingredients in there.

Ingredients:
Cyclopentasiloxane, Trimethylsiloxysilicate, Beeswax, Hydrogenated polyisobutene, Isodecane, Shea butter, Octyl palmitate, Jojoba ester, Squalene, Glyceril dibehenate, Tribehenin, Glyceryl behenate, Prunus yedoensis leaf extract ( Sakura flower), Crithmum maritimum extract, Cl 45410

To end the post, here you go ;p I’m using Bioglo Cherry Pink Lip Cream in these photos.

Happy Horse Year 2014

Posted on January 31, 2014February 1, 2014 By sweet surrender No Comments on Happy Horse Year 2014

2014, the year of the horse. I’m just trying to enjoy my last few days of freedom. Don’t have much celebration mood this year. Even the market out there was pretty quiet. I guess everyone is trying not to spend too much, money is tight these days. Also, fireworks and firecrackers are far less too. It felt rather odd. Usually, people would compete with each other to showcase the best they have.

After 2 years of being away from home for CNY, now I’m back here welcoming the lunar new year. It felt so different now. Not that excited about it anymore due to many factors.

Nevertheless, I want to wish you all a Very Happy Chinese New Year! May the year brings you joys, health, and prosperity. HUAT AR! I guess we all need this now.

Hoyu Bigen Prominous Milky Color Light Mahogany Copper Brown

Posted on January 29, 2014January 29, 2014 By sweet surrender No Comments on Hoyu Bigen Prominous Milky Color Light Mahogany Copper Brown

The last time I coloured my own hair was in Adelaide, that time I was using Kao Japan Liese Bubble Hair Color Dark Chocolat. The colour was still visible until today before I colour it again. At the hair end of course. I thought of going back to use the same brand but I saw Hoyu Bigen Prominous Milky Color Light Mahogany Copper Brown which was much cheaper.

Was attracted to it because of the comb applicator. Apparently, it’s not as easy as using bubble hair colour. I got my mum to help me with the application. I don’t think I will be able to do it easily myself. The smell was strong but compare to others that I came across, it’s less strong.

I didn’t really want to buy Light Mahogany Copper Brown at first, was looking for something brown rather than reddish. At the end, I ended up with this reddish shade because that’s what left on the shelf, there’s the “brown” word there and because it was cheap, was on sale, it was less than RM20 if not mistaken. So decided to take the risk ;p

After 30 minutes, I washed it off. I washed until the water and shampoo were clear from dye. However, when I tried to dry my hair with my white towel… OH NO! Stained! Not that much but still obvious. It’s common anyway to have this happening.

The colour wasn’t obvious. Only very obvious under the sun and it’s red! The colour that I really don’t want as it seems like this colour is on everyone’s head these days! Oh well… At least it’s not obvious. Will trim my hair after CNY.

Ready for horse year?!?!

Kusmi Tea

Posted on January 23, 2014January 25, 2014 By sweet surrender 2 Comments on Kusmi Tea

So, I’m done with all my travel posts. No more. Don’t think there will be anymore to come with the new lifestyle I’m going to embark next month. Gonna miss all those freedom and flexibility.

Let’s talk about tea today. I bought Kusmi Tea from Paris last year. There were so many choices and I ended up buying the green tea range (I don’t remember the price). It came in 5 different flavours.

Kusmi Tea is a brand of tea with headquarters in Paris, France. The company, which produces Russian-style teas and tea blends, was established by Pavel Michailovitch Kousmichoff in 1867 in St. Petersburg, Russia.

Left: The top of the tin. These little tins are filled to the brim with 125gm of loose tea.

Right: Strawberry green tea, Sencha green tea flavoured with strawberry. This is one of my favourite. Strong strawberry smell and you could taste the strawberry’s sourness and sweetness too. Great for afternoon tea with your girlfriends. Very fun to drink.

Left: Rose green tea, Chinese tea flavoured and scented with rose petals. Another favourite of mine. Spot the rose petals? The pink bits are rose petals. Just by smelling and drinking it made me felt like I’m falling in love. I personally think that it’s a great tea to have with your loved one while enjoying the time together.

Right: Imperial label, Sencha green tea from China combined with orange, cinnamon, liquorice root and sea buckthorn berries. Great to drink it cold even though the blend was inspired from a traditional Russian drink served since the 12th century and drunk as a remedy against the harsh winter conditions. With sourness of orange, sweetness of cinnamon and liquorice and the taste of lemon and sea buckthorn combined with a hint of vanilla is unique. It doesn’t feel like you’re not drinking tea but some refreshing and fancy blend of beverage.

Left: Ginger-Lemon Green tea, Chinese green tea flavoured with lemon and ginger. May be drunk hot, or in the summertime, iced. Strong ginger and lemon smell and even taste. Drink it hot when you are having period for the ladies, it felt quite comforting. During the winter, it’s great to drink this hot while relaxing with your favourite book, TV shows, or loved ones.

Right: Spearmint Green Tea aka Green tea with Nana mint, Chinese green tea with Nana mint from Morocco. This is the one that could kill everything you tasted. Could even smell it even when the tin wasn’t opened. Once you tasted this, you can no longer taste any of the tea above, everything will taste like spearmint. I don’t like it, first thing that hit me was chewing gum! Too overwhelming. The smell lingered in the teapot too. Not only that, it stayed on your taste buds for God-knows how long. It took me quite awhile to forget this scent and even the after taste was there for days.

My first time reviewing tea hehehe… My first time buying loose tea too. I wasn’t into tea until I was in Adelaide. I was introduced to various types of tea from China which my friend bought every time he went for business trips. It’s interesting to taste so many types of tea in which each has its own characteristics. Too bad, can no longer enjoy tea with him.

Sarawak+Brunei Road Trip (18-25/11/2013) – Part 9

Posted on January 19, 2014 By sweet surrender No Comments on Sarawak+Brunei Road Trip (18-25/11/2013) – Part 9

We reached Limbang at night from Brunei. Was quite late already.

Limbang is located on the banks of the Limbang River (Sungai Limbang in Malay), between the two halves of Brunei.

Owing to its geographical location, Limbang is completely cut off from the rest of Sarawak’s road network. It however has good road links to both parts of Brunei located to the east and west of the district. There is also a good local network of roads in the district.

Source: Wikipedia

Apart by using road to go to Limbang (going through Brunei, means you will need passport for going in and out of Limbang even for Malaysians) Limbang has an airport.

We stayed at Purnama Hotel which is located in the highest building of Limbang, Plaza Limbang. There’s a shopping centre which reminded me of Hopoh(a shopping centre in Kuching). Government offices are located in this building too. The room we stayed was very spacious! It has all the basics you need. I guess this is the best hotel you can get there. Don’t expect too much from it. It’s good enough to stay.

Was already pretty sick, we slept the night away and woke up pretty late in the morning. At first thought of just sleeping more while waiting for the rest of the team to check-out but we decided to head out to the Pasar Tamu, just opposite the hotel for a look. It’s a must! Already there, can’t just spent it in the hotel room even though was feeling quite sick. God knows when will I come back here again, this might be my first and last time here.

It was so hot and being sick didn’t really helped. We quickly browsed through the market, bought some local produce.

Took some photos too of the river. The river is very important for the people here just like any other places in Sarawak. The day was so hot with clear blue sky. After taking the shoots we wanted, we headed back to the hotel to escape the heat and to rest as much as we could as it would be a long drive back to Miri.

It’s time to go at around 2pm. While the others were still packing, we, the media team decided to ask our driver to drive around to take more shoots or drop by some places nearby to have a quick look. We stopped by Limbang Regional Museum, located in a fort built by Rajah Charles Brooke in 1897. Very small museum with the background of the local leaders and the history of the place. Not much artifacts though. Mostly photos and texts.

The buffalo and crocodile, both are common animals that you can find in Limbang. Beware of the crocodile in the river! Serious! Not joking, there’s even a sign there at the jetty warning people about it.

We were all pretty tired, this is our last destination before heading back to Miri to stay for a night before driving all the way straight back to Kuching. Oh dear… Dreading it so much that I was contemplating to catch a flight from Miri or Limbang to fly back to Kuching but at the end I didn’t hehehe…

Finally! Done with the road trip post! After staying a night in Miri, we drove all the way down to Sibu. Had a short rest there, had our dinner before went straight back to Kuching. We started our journey from Miri at around 10am. Was in Sibu at about 5pm or 6pm. The journey from Sibu to Kuching was really scary, the road was so dark. Couldn’t see anything at all. We arrived Kuching at 11pm. One hour earlier than our estimated time as we didn’t waste any time after dinner in Sibu.

That’s the end of my one week journey with the Cats Rangers. I’m thankful for the opportunity given to me which was made possible by CatsFM, Ministry of Tourism Sarawak, and Sarawak Bloggers. If you want me to do this again, I think I’ll fly the next time around hahaha… At least I’ve done this once, it’s enough for me, a once in a lifetime experience, won’t complain too much except it was exhausting! ;p

This year is Visit Malaysia Year and also Visit Sarawak Year. Why don’t we take this opportunity to discover our own state and own country. There’s a lot of hidden gems lying behind our own backyard. Hope you enjoyed this series of posts even though I didn’t really share much.

Going Places, Limbang

Blogging since 2002. Anything before 2006 is no longer available. It is no longer on this server. Back then, I built my own blog and updated it using HTML. No database or anything. Only started blogging fully with a CMS in 2006. However, whatever was on the Internet will stay on the Internet. So... It should be still somewhere on the Internet. Then again... Why do you want to dig that far?
