Kek Sim, Kay Kiang – Sarawak Chinese Slang

Posted on June 17, 2020June 17, 2020 By sweet surrender No Comments on Kek Sim, Kay Kiang – Sarawak Chinese Slang

Day 92 of movement control order… It’s also day 8 of RMCO. I’m supposed to be getting a package last week but sadly the courier was quite kay kiang *LOL* The package travel from its origin in West Malaysia to the wrong destination in East Malaysia, then back again to its origin awaiting for it to be sent out to the correct destination. My goodness… Since RMCO allows domestic travel, the package is also going on a cuti-cuti Malaysia tour.

Since flight frequency is very much less these days, I think it’s still once a week, so I will need to wait for another week for it to reach here. Hoping that this time it will be sent to the correct destination. You say kek sim or not? πŸ˜›

Really hope it will come soon or else I’m gonna be stuck at home until don’t-know-when…

Kiam Siap, Ha Mik Su – Sarawak Chinese Slang

Posted on May 17, 2020 By sweet surrender No Comments on Kiam Siap, Ha Mik Su – Sarawak Chinese Slang

Today is the Day 61 of Movement Control Order… We’re in the conditional period now. More people are heading back to work tomorrow. Hope all will be well. Hope that it’s not going to be your last few days of work, I know many companies are going to retrench their staff so that they can keep their business afloat. Be thankful that if you stull have your job to go back to.

Anyway, here’s two more slang to share with you πŸ™‚

By the way, there will be no Kuching Festival this year due to the pandemic. It’s ok… Safety is more important than a festival. Meanwhile, for those who has nothing to do outside, just stay at home. With the conditional MCO now, we are seeing many people don’t care about the seriousness of the problem anymore, they are not interested in following the SOP, we will be seeing next wave coming soon. Better stay safe than sorry.

Chiak Hong, Kay Leng Kay Si – Sarawak Chinese Slang

Posted on May 2, 2020May 2, 2020 By sweet surrender No Comments on Chiak Hong, Kay Leng Kay Si – Sarawak Chinese Slang

Two new slangs for the week. How have you’ve been holding on? It’s day 46, can’t go chiak hong and don’t kay leng kay si go out as you like.

However, the government had announced that 4th May will allow almost all business to open. What do you think? Well… It’s a bad idea but what to do? They said it’s for the economy. What we little peanuts can do? They are the boss. We just stay at home and don’t go out unnecessarily so that we don’t be part of the statistics.

I know many are eager to get back to work but do you know the consequences? Just make sure you check all the terms and conditions. Make sure you have the means to cover the expenditure that will be incurred if your staff is infected be it from work or somewhere else, it will be your responsibility, you are also responsible for the family too(that’s what I understand from going through the terms and conditions, I might be wrong, hence you need to be sure about it. I’m nobody, I am not an employer nor an employee). You can gamble it, it’s up to you but one thing for sure if you don’t have the means to cover those expenditures, likely you’ll lost your business overnight for having one staff tested positive. So please check the terms and conditions first and weigh the pros and cons. May the force be with you.

Enjoy your Saturday!

Blogging since 2002. Anything before 2006 is no longer available. It is no longer on this server. Back then, I built my own blog and updated it using HTML. No database or anything. Only started blogging fully with a CMS in 2006. However, whatever was on the Internet will stay on the Internet. So... It should be still somewhere on the Internet. Then again... Why do you want to dig that far?
