It’s been a long time… CNY is finally over. I’m still trying to get some work done. Too many things going on at the same time. I’m behind schedule too. Anyway, in this post, I’m going to show you the videos I took last year, 31st Dec 2021. Went to the city centre to run some errands and I took my gimbal with me to test it out. Here you go… I wasn’t the one driving. I was the passenger.

If you are curious about the gimbal, here’s the video for it. The name is H5 One Axis Handheld Gimbal (https://invol.co/cl83tyg). Bought from Shopee during 1212 sale. Can’t expect too much with something less than RM100 ;p It’s not designed for what I did anyway. However, should be good enough for basic use.

Oh My! What Happen to My TikTok? | How to Make Waffle with Cake?

WOW! My last update was on 6th January. Too long a break. Too many things happening after the last post. Server was having problem for almost a week too. Was so busy trying to fix it. Only now have the time for quick update. CNY is on the way!! Too fast! Still a lot of things to do. Not enough time.

Just for the record, I didn’t expect my TikTok to “explode”. I didn’t expect one of my videos 2 days ago suddenly gone crazy with so many people watching and sharing. It’s just a random video with a poll question. It went crazy. I woke up with 30k views. Now, at almost 3pm, it’s hitting 60k views. My follower count was 200+ only, now I got 400+ and counting. My previous one that got 10K views in few hours was exactly 2 years ago on this day. I really don’t understand how TikTok’s algorithm works haha… It’s mysterious haha… You can check out my TikTok at Lovebellbelle @ TikTok

Tefal Initial Rice Cooker RK7401 Kek Gula Hangus | How to Make Rice Cooker Kek Sarang Semut?

CNY is coming! Going to bake cake? Why not bake Kek Sarang Semut?

The first thing I cook with Tefal Initial Rice Cooker with Spherical Pot Fuzzy Logic RK7401 is this cake. I didn’t expect it to be so easy and it works so well. This is the fourth attempt making kek gula hangus aka sarang semut aka Hong Kong cake.

Here’s the recipe…

CARAMEL (Do this first so that it has time to cool, it might take hours to cool depending on your pot and room temperature. While waiting, I paint my nails haha…)
1 Cup Sugar
1 Cup Freshly Boiled Water
1/3 Cup Butter

1. Melt sugar with low heat.
2. Once melted, pour in freshly boiled hot water. Gently stir till caramel no more sticky.
3. Let it boils for 1-2 minutes.
4. Off the fire, add in butter and let it melts.
5. Leave it to cool to room temperature.

CAKE BATTER
4 Grade B (medium) Eggs
1/2 Cup Condensed Milk
1 Tsp Vanilla Essence
1 Cup All-purpose Flour
2 Tsp Bicarbonate Soda

1. Mix eggs, condensed milk, and vanilla essence until incorporated.
2. Sift flour and bicarbonate soda (baking soda) into the mixture.
3. Stir them gently until as smooth as you can. Some lumps are fine, no big deal.
4. Filter it into a bowl.
5. Proof in room temperature for at least 1 1/2 hour, max 2 hours. (Some people said that they didn’t proof it. They bake it straight away and it still works, you can try at your own risk :D)
6. Grease the pot.
7. Pour the batter into the pot.
8. Start cooking with “Rice” mode.
9. It will beep when it’s done.
10. Let it cool before you remove your cake from the pot.

Happy 2022 | No Egg Peanut Butter Cookies & Homemade Peanut Butter

How time flies?!?! It’s the first day of 2022. Too fast!

First of all, here’s the video for the day. Chinese New Year is coming soon. It’s next month on the first! So fast! Fist time make peanut butter cookies. You can start baking for CNY now 😀

Have a blessed new year! No resolutions as usual. The only hope is that all my loved ones are safe and healthy so that we all can meet again normally.

2020 and 2021 were really bad to many of us. Nothing major for me. Life was pretty much peaceful and quiet. However, for others, it was bad. I’m just thankful to have got through those two years unscathed.

As for 2022… I’ll just take it one step at a time. It’s gonna be a new phase… Oh my gosh…. All I know is that I love my freedom and flexibility too much. It is hard to let go. Seeing people moving on from stages to stages and I’m still pretty much the same. I’m not sure how to feel… Whatever… Happy New Year again!
