Queen Helene Cocoa Butter Hand & Body Lotion

Posted on July 29, 2011July 29, 2011 By sweet surrender No Comments on Queen Helene Cocoa Butter Hand & Body Lotion

I saw Queen Helene Cocoa Butter Hand & Body Lotion at Chemist Warehouse selling at AUD3.99, I thought wow! It’s a deal! So big bottle some more! Approximate 900gm for this bottle. Damn cheap! Queen Helene is popular for its face mask which I thought I had blogged about but apparently I didn’t -.-” hmmm…

This lightweight, fast-absorbing lotion blends replenishing natural Cocoa Butter with emollient Lanolin to soothe and soften dry, irritated skin. It’s recommended as an effective facial moisturizer for day or night use to help reduce the appearance of dry skin wrinkles, lines and crow’s feet. The lotion works to restore and maintain skin’s essential moisture balance and is excellent for skin that has been overexposed to sun or wind. It also helps relieve stretched skin during and after pregnancy. After just a few uses your skin will feel softer, smoother and more comfortable.

I was so excited to see that it can protect our skin naturally from the sun and wind especially with the weather condition here. I bought it without thinking twice since my lotion was running out.

When I got home, I read the label, saw the ingredient lists and I started to get skeptical. I’m sure you do too… I didn’t dare to use it on my face, those stuffs seem to clog pores if not mistaken. So I only use it on my body generously. Such big bottle and so cheap, who cares?!?

Very lightweight and easily absorb however it didn’t really moisture my skin for long, need to always reapply. Not moisturising enough for me but still it’s good enough for everyday used and use it without fear of wasting ;p. I definitely won’t use it on my face, not going to risk it.

The scent is quite light. It smells more like coconut instead of cocoa butter. However, it won’t interfere with your perfume.

In fact I had a bit of reaction on my arm when using it -.-” Must be the ingredients in there but luckily only my arm. Not sure is it really reaction from it or from other thing. I stopped using it for about a week and used it again after that, I didn’t experience the reaction anymore until now. Hmm… Had been using it for almost a month.

My recommendation? If you are not sensitive to any of the ingredients, it should be fine and if you have normal skin. Very dry skin will not be that suitable. It said that just need to apply a small amount but it’s not enough for me.

I’m not sure how realiable with the sun protection part though. Since it’s winter now, I’m not really worry as I cover up my body all the time but I will not rely on it in spring or summer or autumn. That reminds me to stock up on my sun lotion and UV protector because both are running out to prepare for spring that will come in September.

LUS V Line Extra Lift Up

Posted on July 18, 2011July 19, 2011 By sweet surrender 5 Comments on LUS V Line Extra Lift Up

Last month I was invited to review new products from Korea. I happily accepted it as having a “V” face is something many Taiwanese and Korean celebrities talk about every single time in many beauty TV shows. Since the distributor in Malaysia is willing to send it all the way from Malaysia to Australia for me to try the product, why not?

Today, I’m going to review the first product called LUS V Line Extra Lift Up. Say bye bye to chubby cheeks and double chin! Com’on, let’s face it, once we aged, our skin will sag, so your “V” face will become “U” face which I have been noticing on myself. That’s why I am very excited when I’m being asked to review this product. I want my “V” face back!

Left: The box consists of 7 mask sheets + 1 Neoprene. The NEOPRENE band included helps to create a clear chin line by pressing on the meridian points on under the chin that affect the aging of skin. The mask itself delivers 2 actions:-
Action 1: Self Heating – helps to burn away those excess fat under your chin
Action 2: Skin Firming – contains intensive collagen that restores the elasticity of your skin

Right: It’s a bit hard to use but once you got the hang of it, it’s quite easy. It took me 15 minutes to figure out how to use it *LOL* Since my face is quite small, that’s how it looks like. Even though I have small face, the band can still be used by me so no worries at all for those with small face like me. You know how difficult for people like us to use facial mask as usually it’s too big for our face ;p I looked so ugly in it! Hahaha…

In case you’re wondering about the ingredients in the mask…

I like the smell. The mask really heated up with the help of the Neoprene and I could feel the heat almost instantly. It’s quite comfortable since I’m experiencing cold weather here. Also feeling the effect of strain from the Neoprene. You’ll get the result after 3 usages in a week. However, I used it once a week. I could feel the result in just one use, my skin around the jawline and neck felt firmer after using it for the first time.

The effect after using it for the 3rd time (3rd week). Very obvious right? Of course, the result differs for each individual. There is no need to wash off the residue with all the goodness in there(Vitamin E, Collagen, Beta-Glucan, Coenzyme Q10, and Vitamin-A), I massaged them into my whole neck and décolletage. You must take care of your neck as this is where it will make you look older.

Very excited!! See!

Note: Ok… I got quite a fair bit of feedback saying that the difference is way too much and too good to be true. Let get this straight, there’s definitely difference in real life but not this much because of my angle in the photos, I can’t find the exact angle hence it looks like there’s so much difference here. Rest assure that it does has effect in real life, I do feel it. Again, please bear in mind that the result differs from one individual to another.

No surgery for it. You might want to try it out. I do recommend it. Also, I didn’t suffer any breakout after using it. So it’s a good thing for me. Oh! Remember to wash the Neoprene everytime after use.

The retail price is RM 99 for 1 box LUS V Line Extra Lift Up. You can buy them at all Sasa outlets in Malaysia (starting July 2011) or buy it online (Supermodel’s Secrets, they deliver to outside of Malaysia even Australia) if your place doesn’t have Sasa.

Will have the review of LUS S Line Body Slimming Glove, another interesting product for those suffering from cellulite, coming up soon 😉

Meanwhile, don’t forget to JOIN THE CONTEST! You’ll get to win LUS V Line Extra Lift Up or even the LUS S Line Body Slimming Glove for yourself. Send your contest entry with your name and contact number to info@twioplanet.com

Pantene 3 Minute Miracle

Posted on July 9, 2011July 9, 2011 By sweet surrender 2 Comments on Pantene 3 Minute Miracle

Pantene 3 Minute Miracle is not really a new product, it’s been around for ages. I first got it back in Malaysia as a tube(15ml) of sample. In fact this is the actual sized product just that it’s sold in 3 per pack in the market if I recall correctly. It claims to repair 3 months of damage in 3 minutes! It’s for normal to dry damaged hair.

I brought it along with me to Australia and it really impressed me the first time I used it! Instantly could feel how good the effect was. Only need 3 minutes, can use as your usual conditioner but it’s a bit too costly ;p. My hair was so much easier to manage after that and soft to touch.

When I’m here, I managed to get hold of another tube which is also a sample(but actual sized product) from Rouge Mag. Now, I’m using this second tube as my conditioner since it’s free hahaha…

One tube lasted me so many washes, lost track of how many but definitely more than 10 washes as I don’t have a lot of hair that’s why. In fact you don’t have to use a lot.

Two thumbs up from me! It’s a must-try!

Rene Furterer NATURIA Gentle Balancing Shampoo

Posted on June 26, 2011June 28, 2011 By sweet surrender No Comments on Rene Furterer NATURIA Gentle Balancing Shampoo

Tried this shampoo, thought it will give me good result but too bad it didn’t work as I had expected. My hair didn’t feel great at all.

My hair frizzed and tangled. It’s quite dry after using it. You definitely need conditioner after using it. I tried using a treatment mask after it and I instantly felt the difference. Without the mask/conditioner it’s really a let down.

It’s not suitable for me. However, I bet it should be good for those who wash their hair daily. You have to use a lot to get the foam though. Also, use conditioner after that.

Naturia Gentle balancing shampoo can be used as often as needed to leave your hair soft bouncy and shiny while respecting the natural balance of your scalp.

Its purifing essential oils will also give true pleasure to your senses. Moreover, the unctuous texture and the delicately perfumed light foam bring suppleness and volume to even the finest hair.

Natura Gentle, balancing shampoo makes styling easier. This shampoo, to be used in alternation with treatment shampoos is now part of the Rene Furterer hair care method.

Ducray Anaphase Stimulating Cream Shampoo for Devitalized Hair

Posted on June 9, 2011June 9, 2011 By sweet surrender 4 Comments on Ducray Anaphase Stimulating Cream Shampoo for Devitalized Hair

I got this quite awhile ago, it’s a sample. The packaging seems very medical and boring. It won’t make me want to buy or even try it. However, when I came to Adelaide, I brought it along with me because it’s small and some how I need to use it so that I don’t have to spend money in buying shampoo here ;p.

I used it for about 2-3 weeks(once every 2 days) and differences can be felt right away after wash! OMG! I was blown away, I didn’t even need any conditioner. My hair was so soft and manageable, it didn’t even tangle.

Highly recommend this for anyone who want something really effective for their dull and unmangeable hair. Less hair fall too. What’s more, only need to use this, no need conditioner at all even though it recommends you to use your usual hair treatment product after hair wash with this. If your hair is really in need of desperate help, maybe you might want to use your usual treatment products for better result.

The Anaphase cream shampoo is the perfect complement to the anti-hair fall treatment (nutricious lotion and complement)thanks to its original formula containing tocopherol Nicotinate, and GP4G.

This patented association of active ingredients stimulates the scalp microcirculation and brings the hair bulb cells the necessary energizing elements for their metabolism.

Two thumbs up for me for the result but packaging wise it’s two thumbs down.
