Kiam Siap, Ha Mik Su – Sarawak Chinese Slang

Posted on May 17, 2020 By sweet surrender No Comments on Kiam Siap, Ha Mik Su – Sarawak Chinese Slang

Today is the Day 61 of Movement Control Order… We’re in the conditional period now. More people are heading back to work tomorrow. Hope all will be well. Hope that it’s not going to be your last few days of work, I know many companies are going to retrench their staff so that they can keep their business afloat. Be thankful that if you stull have your job to go back to.

Anyway, here’s two more slang to share with you πŸ™‚

By the way, there will be no Kuching Festival this year due to the pandemic. It’s ok… Safety is more important than a festival. Meanwhile, for those who has nothing to do outside, just stay at home. With the conditional MCO now, we are seeing many people don’t care about the seriousness of the problem anymore, they are not interested in following the SOP, we will be seeing next wave coming soon. Better stay safe than sorry.

Malaysia CMCO Extended to 9th June 2020

Posted on May 11, 2020May 11, 2020 By sweet surrender No Comments on Malaysia CMCO Extended to 9th June 2020

Yesterday, our PM announced that Malaysia CMCO period will be extended until 9th June 2020. Most people will get to go back to work with the set SOP of course. I would suggest you to do your grocery shopping during office hour instead of the weekend or after office hour to avoid the working crowd especially if you are still required to stay home or do not work.

However, I cannot understand the maximum 20 people gathering part. Even in Australia, it’s only 10 people, what makes you think 20 is safe? Why must there be gathering? I really don’t get it. It’s not essential at all. Whatever it is, best is to just stay home and don’t go out when there is nothing important. Avoid crowded place, confined place, and close conversation. Stay safe!

Since we will still be staying at home, you might want to try to plant your own bean sprouts. I did a video for it πŸ˜‰ Have fun trying!

No More MCO4 but MCO5

Posted on May 4, 2020May 4, 2020 By sweet surrender No Comments on No More MCO4 but MCO5

So… Before MCO4 even ended, we suddenly gone into MCO5. Many businesses can now open for business. Many people will be going back to work. What do you think? Is this the right move?

Whatever it is, do your own part. If you are not comfortable opening for business, then don’t; if you are afraid of crowd, then don’t go to crowded place; if you are not comfortable dining in, then don’t! It’s up to yourself to self-regulate. However, come to think of it, businesses are operating, they will need customers, if everyone staying at home, not going out to give them business, they will not have enough to cover their overhead at all. So how? Like this also problem, like that also problem.

Aside from that, business should take the SOP seriously because if one of your staff is tested positive, you will be responsible for sanitizing all the relevant areas that the authority wants you to sanitize and whoever that are affected by the positive staff will be under your responsibility. Remember that the amount you need is not just sanitizing your premise, you might be required to sanitize the areas around you, that will cost a lot! You will need to make sure you have enough to cover such unfortunate event. Otherwise, you’ll be in deep trouble if you don’t because I’m sure your sales for the day will not be able even cover those cost furthermore you will be instructed to close for business for a period of time too.

For the rest who are still staying at home or have nothing important to do out there, just stay at home. Those who need to go to work, keep yourself safe and follow the SOP, no crowded place, no confined place, and no close conversation. Frankly… Not that possible but just try your best to avoid.

Oh! Now you can have 4 people from the same house to travel in car. Can go out shopping for the whole family.

Till then, take care!

Chiak Hong, Kay Leng Kay Si – Sarawak Chinese Slang

Posted on May 2, 2020May 2, 2020 By sweet surrender No Comments on Chiak Hong, Kay Leng Kay Si – Sarawak Chinese Slang

Two new slangs for the week. How have you’ve been holding on? It’s day 46, can’t go chiak hong and don’t kay leng kay si go out as you like.

However, the government had announced that 4th May will allow almost all business to open. What do you think? Well… It’s a bad idea but what to do? They said it’s for the economy. What we little peanuts can do? They are the boss. We just stay at home and don’t go out unnecessarily so that we don’t be part of the statistics.

I know many are eager to get back to work but do you know the consequences? Just make sure you check all the terms and conditions. Make sure you have the means to cover the expenditure that will be incurred if your staff is infected be it from work or somewhere else, it will be your responsibility, you are also responsible for the family too(that’s what I understand from going through the terms and conditions, I might be wrong, hence you need to be sure about it. I’m nobody, I am not an employer nor an employee). You can gamble it, it’s up to you but one thing for sure if you don’t have the means to cover those expenditures, likely you’ll lost your business overnight for having one staff tested positive. So please check the terms and conditions first and weigh the pros and cons. May the force be with you.

Enjoy your Saturday!

Only started blogging fully with a CMS in 2006. However, whatever was on the Internet will stay on the Internet. So... It should be still somewhere on the Internet. Then again... Why do you want to dig that far?
