Fight Crimes & Road Safety Roadshow @ Tun Jugah

Posted on August 15, 2007August 16, 2007 By sweet surrender No Comments on Fight Crimes & Road Safety Roadshow @ Tun Jugah

This afternoon went to Tun Jugah because we saw something there when we passed by. It’s the launching of Kempen Pencegahan Jenayah & Keselamatan Jalan Raya 2007(roadshow of crime fighting and road safety campaign 2007). I think it will last till this weekend. Went there and took some photos to share with you.

There are many photos/images there for you to see. Also weapons that are used by gangs to attack their victims.

You can view many horrific images of accident victims such as bodies with no head or vice versa, upper body missing, detached heads, detached limbs, punctured stomach and more. If you can’t stand the images, I would suggest you not to see it but for me, I’m OK with it. Hopefully people will be more civilised on the road since there are many accidents happened nowadays. The latest one was the bus accident at Bukit Gantang, West Malaysia which is labelled as the worst accident in the countryÒ€ℒs history. So sad… My condolences to the victims family. 20 died and 9 were seriously injured.

Besides that, there are also various illegal drugs on display to educate the public on various type of drugs such as ecstasy, syabu, ice…

You can check your summones there using the computer and also learn how to be Rakan Cop, it’s a program to help fight crimes by using SMS, if I’m not mistaken.

Speed detector and the traffic police’s bike. This one is new πŸ˜› Looks new as it’s white hahaha… The old ones were yellowish already *LOL* You can ask them to demo the speed detector to you but we didn’t ask them to do it hahaha…

Left: More weapons.
Right: If you are thirsty, you can get free drinks from Vico hahaha… SWEET!

Left: The VIPs.
Right: Choral speaking by school children from St. Joseph Primary School. Interesting one. They are really good.

Demonstrations, advices and some self defence techniques from the expert from KL, I forgot his name, he’s always on TV and his presentations are very good.

That’s my report for the day hahaha…

Kuching Festival 2007 – Video

Posted on August 11, 2007August 11, 2007 By sweet surrender No Comments on Kuching Festival 2007 – Video

Ok… Here comes the video! For your information, I’m more of the co-host role this year instead of being the lead host. I have a co-host with me this year but I would say he’s the lead host and I’m the co-host. I wasn’t really in the mood to host and didn’t know what to say, so I let Charlie did most of the talking. :p Sorry to disappoint you guys. Also, we have a group of cosplayers joining us. Actually these are the cosplayers that came late and missed out the Kuching Festival Parade *LOL*

Kuching Festival 2007 – Garden Show

Posted on August 7, 2007August 7, 2007 By sweet surrender 2 Comments on Kuching Festival 2007 – Garden Show

I will be in Miri from 6th-8th October!!! Booked my tickets already. Only RM160 for return trip. Any place to recommend to stay that is cheaper? Own bathroom, not red light area, the nearer to the city centre the better. Considering Imperial Hotel, how? Hehehe… Now… Anyone? Anyone want to bring me around see, see, look, look, eat, eat? πŸ˜›

Here are some photos of the Garden Show. This is the worst of all these years. -.-” The path for you to walk is narrow, common fountains everywhere. Nothing much. I also don’t know what to say. You just see the photos hahaha… I couldn’t get any nice photos of the garden also.

Kuching Festival 2007 (2)

Posted on August 6, 2007August 7, 2007 By sweet surrender 9 Comments on Kuching Festival 2007 (2)

It’s all about food that we had the last two days(04/08/07 and 05/08/07). Some pics were missing because we forgot to take photos of them πŸ˜› Hehehe… Too hungry, only could think of eating rather than taking pictures.

Left: I don’t know what is this, I don’t like it. A type of prawn dish.
Right: The octopus takoyaki, ewwww… The octopus didn’t taste fresh. It’s different from last year’s but from the same stall. The size shrinked to half of last year’s. Not recommended. This is taiwan’s version. I still prefer the one at Jalan Song, the Japanese version and they are huge with lots of bonito!

Iglool… You can try it cheaper here but I think the portion is a bit small compare to those in their shops. Flavours are limited too. However, RM10 for 3 is consider OK.

I-Chi-Ban, had it once years ago. Bought it again and I found out that I don’t like it πŸ˜› I ate a bit only, the rest was settled by the guys.

Hot candy. Bought the “original” at RM1.50 per stick. It’s actually marshmallows that are heated. It’s quite nice but kinda sweet πŸ˜› They have other choices such as sprinkle with cheese or some colour candies, lace with chocolates…

Teo Chew Style Oyster Omelette or fondly known as “o-jien”. Yummy… It’s supposed to be crispy but we took a long time to find for a place to sit, so it became like this. Still tasted good.

Left: Yam Cha Kueh that I didn’t taste any yam in there. Not recommended.
Right: Stingray with sambal. Very spicy!

Something new this year, the chocolate fountain. Tried the one with strawberry, RM2 per stick. They freezed the strawberry. I don’t really like it. I mean the chocolate hahaha… However, it’s not too sweet unless you opt for marshmallow.

Homemade sushies.

That’s all for the time being on the food. Will sure be going there quite often. It’s so near to my place πŸ˜›

Kuching Festival Parade 2007

Posted on August 5, 2007August 6, 2007 By sweet surrender 6 Comments on Kuching Festival Parade 2007

Warning: Pictures overloaded!!

OK… The following photos are all taken yesterday. Very colourful parade compare to last year’s. Enjoy… I’m not going to say much about it. Too many things need to do. Someone just got my “bombed”, hehehe… Sorry πŸ˜›

Due to the sudden demised of our Mayor, the celebrations were quite low key. Usually there will be fireworks but not yesterday. Besides, the nightly performances at the food fair were cancelled too.

Right: Some of the cosplayers from Swinburne.

One group was walking barefooted!! -.-“

Lion dancing on moving truck -.-” So dangerous.

Top & bottom left: These will give you nightmares πŸ˜›

Right: The cosplayers that were left behind because they were late *LOL*

After we were done with our dinner and video shooting at Kuching Festival, we went over to Padang Merdeka where the parade ended there and there were performances by each contingent in front of the main stage. So many people! I hate crowds! This is my first time there and will be my last time too. The photo on the right showing the participants resting after their performance.

Food post coming up…

Blogging since 2002. Anything before 2006 is no longer available. It is no longer on this server. Back then, I built my own blog and updated it using HTML. No database or anything. Only started blogging fully with a CMS in 2006. However, whatever was on the Internet will stay on the Internet. So... It should be still somewhere on the Internet. Then again... Why do you want to dig that far?
