AEON MALL Kuching Central, First Store in East Malaysia

AEON is going to open its door to shoppers on 20th April 2018. Was lucky to get a sneak peek of the place before it opened to the members at 1pm today. This is AEON Co. (M) Bhd. first mall in East Malaysia. Located along Jalan Keretapi, it’s so huge that you will not miss it *LOL* Housing more than 130 retail lots spread across three floors with 1800 car park bays that spread over five level of its multi-level parking.

As you know, you will find AEON very own supermarket and department store offering fresh groceries for your daily needs, trendy apparels for young and old, household furnishing and appliances for your home and office, and mouthwatering food and beverage to fill your tummy.

Do look out for TOPVALU – AEON’s global flagship private brand, known as the provider of affordable yet reliable Japanese products since 1994 has been AEON’s standard in delivering the best quality, safety and value to consumers across Asia with TOPVALU groceries, TOPVALU COLLECTION for versatile garments, TOPVALU HOME for the best selections of household furnishing and appliances for home.

There’s a lot of food counters such as ‘Ready to Cook’, ‘Salmon Counter’, ‘Marinated Counter’, ‘Premium Fruit Gift Pack’, ‘Cut Fruits & Juice Counter’, ‘Cheese Counter’, ‘Korean Kimchi Counter’, and ‘We Cook You Eat’ cooking station. The cooking station is what attracted me the most, it is something you cannot find anywhere else but in AEON, pretty interesting, will try it out when I’m there again.

The F&B selections with ready-to-eat light bites, easy preparation meals, and authentic Japanese cuisine such as sushis, assorted tempuras, pizzas, cooked meats, hot snacks, assorted sandwiches, salads, and more. Not to forget variety of buns and pastries at ‘La Boheme’ Bakery.

Here’s some views of the department store, lots to see. You will have to go there to see for yourself. The prices are not too high. There’s a section selling skincare products, looks very interesting but didn’t have time to take a look at it.

With the launch of AEON MALL Kuching Central, AEON CO. (M) BHD. now has a total of 27 AEON MALLs and 35 AEON Stores nationwide.

Go sign up up for the membership card tomorrow(18th April, 10am-8pm) and the day after tomorrow(19th April, 10am-6pm) so that you can have a look at the place first. Lunar new year is here… Today is the fifth day of the Dog year. What you’ve been up to? Many people started working yesterday. I’m still having holiday. *dance in glee*

I’ve been enjoying my almost 2 months holiday and still not enough hehehe… Guess I need more because February is short and too busy with CNY preparations too, so I need longer break LOL!!! My dream might come true 😛

Hope the year will bring you good health, prosperity, and abundance of blessings in all aspects of life.

Julie’s The Best of You 2017

Everyone has their own story. Be it bad or good, big or small, it will indirectly impacting someone’s life. We are living in a community where everyone is a part of the ecosystem whether you like it or not. At times, we feel down, we feel that the whole world is against us, we feel hopeless, and all the negative feelings but there are people who are living a life worst than us. We live to learn from people around us, that’s life.

Learn to appreciate, slow down, acknowledge, celebrate and share. To bring the best out of you and those around you. Julie’s(yes… The biscuit manufacturer) has launched the Best of You Movement in May 2014. The social awareness movement is to celebrate everyday heroes. What is your story? Do you have one? Get inspired by the stories of appreciation, love, triumph, hopes and dreams from people of all walks of life, in one space! MYFM DJ Winson will also have a session sharing his story on 19th Nov, Sun from 3-4pm.

1. Special Art Jamming Workshop conducted specially by abstract artist, David Chew.

Left to third right are the people who had shared their story with us. They are Allison, Amy, and Wan.

Allison and Amy are best friends of different race. In West Malaysia, this is uncommon and their story had touched people’s heart. In Sarawak, we might see it as normal, nothing special. Having best friends of different races and hanging out together is just part of our lives but it means a lot for those who are not used to see this kind of friendship.

Wan had to get his foot amputated to set himself free. He suffered from childhood sickness that caused him to not able to enjoy a normal childhood. Now, he is living an active lifestyle even with a prosthetic leg. He can swim with one leg too!

One the right, it’s the founder and consultant, Mr. Sai Tzy Horng.

Rainforest World Music Festival 2017

Finally my blog is back after a long down time. This post supposed to be posted before it was down, didn’t make it in time *LOL*

RWMF 2017 happened last month, 14-16th July. It’s my third time joining. The first time was there as a blogger. Second and third were for official duty.

Happening every year at Sarawak Cultural Village. This year is the 20th anniversary of Rainforest World Music Festival.

Many green initiatives involved such as tree planting and sorting of garbage. More food choices as well, even Japanese, Korean, and Indonesian food can be found there.

I’ll just let the photos do the talking.

I do not have any night performance photos hahaha yet that is the climax of the festival 😛 What to do… My camera and phone couldn’t take proper photos with low light. Was on duty also entertaining my guests.

The last photo showing Dom Flemons from USA, he sure has his fan base. Once he was out from the theater, his fans were waiting for him eagerly. They bought his CDs and asked him to sign.

Breaking Fast with Sarawak Energy

Was fortunate enough to attend the breaking fast event with Sarawak Energy last week at BCCK. Truth to be told, this is my first breaking fast event this Ramadan. How time flies. It’s now third day of Syawal. I’m lagging in posting. Just came back from a two days Miri trip on the eve of Syawal.

Sarawak Energy team was led by the Group CEO, Mr. Sharbini Suhaili, as a gesture of appreciation of support towards the media friends and stakeholders. At the same time, they also invited NGOs to join the event as part of their CSR programme.

“Duit raya” and new clothes were given to children of Rumah Seri Murni and residents of Rumah Seri Kenangan for Raya celebrations. Donations were also given.
