Finally… Yesterday, I had to go out to get essentials as things were running low. My first time wearing a mask… Don’t like it!

First outing after staying home for 3 weeks plus 😅 today is #day10 of #movementcontrolorder and I need to get essentials because stock is running low. First time in my life wear a mask 😑 it sucks big time, few times I felt like I'm out of air when I was in areas where the air conditioning wasn't cold enough… Imagine those frontliners who need to wear it the whole time at work without air-conditioning in PPE some more. I was only wearing it for less than 2 hours and couldn't wait to remove it 😣 Better #stayathome people… Let's work together so that life can go back to normal. Here, I’m going to share some stories yesterday when I went to restock some food items at a supermarket in a shopping mall…

SOCIAL DISTANCING LA AUNTY!
At the weighing counter, there’s one lady stood behind me with mask on, breathing heavily, stood so near to me, sooo near! Gave me a shock! -.-” Hello aunty… Social distancing la! Need to stand so near meh until I can even hear you breath! Not even an arm length. I had to move away so that I won’t be standing too close to her.

WHAT A BOO BOO!
This lady… Came in gloves, with sponge mask, wore glasses, and wore a medical scrub with shorts and Fitflop. At first glance, I thought maybe she’s a medical professional but when I saw her gloves and mask… Nuh.. Obviously, she’s not! I rolled my eyes, didn’t care, continued with my shopping. When I want to check-out, what luck, met her again at the same counter. While she’s waiting for her turn, I rolled my eyes even more *LOL* holding her purse and credit card with her gloved hands, use her hands to push her glasses, swept her hair away from her face, and adjusted the front part her mask. Then when make payment, keyed in pin number, of course with gloves on. I rolled my eyes again. Guess my eyes exercised a lot in a span of 45 minutes yesterday ;p

BODY WASH A LOT!
I asked the staff of the supermarket is there any Dettol left, he told me, “Tak ada, dah habis, body wash banyak!” *LOL* OK… I responded, “Yalah… Nampak banyak body wash tapi antiseptic solutions pula tak nampak, that’s why ask you, I fikir I salah tengok.”, then we laughed.

REMOTE SHOPPERS
A lot of remote shoppers haha… Be it male or female. Pretty amusing. Holding their phones showing the other end what to get 😀

Now that the MCO is extended… Wonder when will be my next outing to buy essentials again hmmm… I hope what I bought is enough to last us for at least 1 1/2 weeks. Going out during this time is such a hassle -.-” Gosh… Hope it will end soon. However… I have this feeling that it might be extended some more with many from overseas coming back. GAH! Whatever…

Happy Chinese New Year 2020

It’s the Year of the Mouse! How time flies… Wishing you a very Happy Chinese New Year and may you be blessed with great health and prosperity.

Here’s my very first video on YouTube that is Chinese New Year related hahaha… This mini popiah is what I’ve been making every year. I used to use a convection oven for it but ever since I have an air fryer, I’m using the air fryer to make it.

Ingredients:
Spring roll pastry (e.g. 50 sheets can yield 450 mini popiah)
Meat floss (e.g. pork/chicken/shrimp)
1/2 teaspoon cornstarch mix with 20ml water (can always make more when you run out)
*No fix measurement on the above. You can have as much filling as you want or make it as big or as small as you want.

Air fryer or oven setting:-
Temperature: 140 degree Celcius
Time to: 20-25 minutes
Stop it after around 10 minutes or mid-cycle, shake it or stir it(depending on your equipment feature) to ensure balance distribution of heat, then continue the air frying.

As simple as that. The temperature and time are just guidelines depending on your air fryer or oven. The size and the amount of the popiah will also need to be taken into consideration. As long that you don’t burn it. The spring roll pastry should be crispy as the end result.

Remember to store them in airtight container. Enjoy!

So… This is the second day of the new month, new year, and new decade. Everyone was posting about their resolutions and reflections yesterday. Me? Hahah… Nothing much… Still same old, same old, nothing much change. Quiet and peaceful life with beloved family and friends is good enough. Wish you have a blessed new year.

TADA! I finally did it! Hahaha… First vlog!

It was done in an impromptu manner. I did one last month but it was horrible 😅 still a long way to go… Better start somewhere rather than thinking too much about it. I’m still thinking whether to do it in English or Mandarin. Maybe a mix of both.

If you’re wondering, I’m just using Huawei Nova 2 Lite for recording; Samsung Galaxy Tab 2S for editing with Filmigo app. At first, I was editing it on the computer but man… It’s hard work, my eyes really couldn’t stand it, so tedious. It’s much easier to use a mobile device but this also means it’s very basic, can’t do anything too complicated. However, if I’m gonna take vlogging seriously, eventually I need to use a computer for better editing 😂 which also means I need a new laptop and camera 🤔 don’t think it will be any time soon hahaha…

My target is to be able to talk without NG-ing for at least 45 secs 😅 then there won’t be much editing required. I did 6 takes on this video. Editing is a bitch 😅 worst if with a computer hahaha…

I’ve also set up a new channel on YouTube just to post all my vlogs in. Just click on my video to visit the channel.

Anyway, I’m not sure when will the second video be up. We’ll see how it goes…

Here’s my reviews of the makeup:

🌺Flawless Creamy Concealer (RM15.00) – Surprisingly didn’t get stuck in my fine lines, not drying or cakey. Lasting over 8 hours and still not a problem until the end of the day, not drying too. It melts so well into the skin. Coverage is medium, you have to build it up though. For my skin colour, #02 Ginger suits me better. The rest I used them for highlight and contour.

🌺Watercolor Cream Tint (RM20.00) – Honeydew scented, quite bold, pigmented, and have pretty sheen. Colour is nice. My lips can never agree with any gloss, lipstick, or tint because my lips will peel or flake after few hours. Hence I haven’t own any of these products for over 10 years. I only use lip balm of specific brand. Sadly this too 😣 The only way for me to fix the problem is to apply very think layer, leave it for 15 minutes, then gently wash it off with water just living the tint there. Next, top it with my usual lip balm. That would do the trick. I love Peach Cream #03 and Strawberry Cream #02.

🌺Spotlight Eye Glitter (RM24.00) – Love this, not over the top. Can use it on its own or line your lash line or at any place you like to have a little glitter. It’s buildable.

🌺Sunrise Moonrise BCL X Althea Korea Eyeshadow Palette (RM140.00) – Pigmented, creamy, awesome colours! Long lasting!

The photos below are the lip tints I applied on my lips. Click the small arrow to see the other colours. I applied them in full and in gradient.


It’s simple to do gradient lips. My lazy way, just dot the lip tint to the inner centre of your lips, spread the colour in the inner centre in left-right motion with your finger to make sure that it is well-blend and bring the colour outward to the rest of your lips for the gradient effect👄

Ok… Now I’m going to share how I do the Peach Blossom look for Chinese New Year and Valentine’s.

The concealers were used for conceal, highlight, and contour.

I used Strawberry Cream #02 for my lips and also as blusher. I just applied whatever product left on my finger after I did the lips on my cheeks, just dab and blend it.


For the eyelids, I used Sunrise Moonrise BCL X Althea Korea Eyeshadow Palette.


Shiny cream(1) for the base and a bit on the brow bone for highlight.
Maroon(6) for half of the outer lid.
Shiny Pink(7) for the inner half of the lid.
Gold(4) to dab in the middle of the lid.


After that, I applied Spotlight Eye Glitter in Gold to line the lower waterline of my eyes, smudged it at the inner corner of my eyes too. Pardon the colour difference because of the lighting and also different camera used.


Final look without mascara and eyeliner.

It’s hard for me to show the colours when I open my eyes because my double eyelids are pretty much hidden most of the time hahaha… Hence, I applied the colour all the way above the lid instead of just inside the lid.

The actual colour should be looking like the picture above with my lid being numbered. That’s why I called it peach blossom because the colours are similar to the flower’s colour.
