My journey in discovering myself in Adelaide, South Australia, Australia while fulfilling my dream to study overseas.

Adelaide Showground

Posted on June 28, 2011June 28, 2011 By sweet surrender No Comments on Adelaide Showground

Tomorrow! Final paper. Hopefully it’s not too hard. So many theories, having difficulty in remembering them and got not much direction on what we should be studying.

Anyway, Adelaide Showground is where I’m going to be tomorrow for exam. It’s conducted here not in the uni. Had to take bus here. There’ll be tonnes of students there from UniSA and University of Adelaide. The bus from the city will packed and then will be empty when it reaches there because everyone is going to the same place for exam *LOL*

Don’t remember which bus to take ;p Gonna rely on my friend to get me there hahaha… Early morning exam, 9am! So means tonight have to sleep early, wake up early to get myself fully awake before going for exam.

Exam will end at noon, then will head home and continue with assignment which need to be submitted before midnight! My first time do assignment last minute. Broken my own record. I never want to do last minute task, it’s the lecturer’s fault! So… Can’t really relax. So many last minute jobs. After submitting assignment I need to get my Malaysia tax return form filled and submitted, then apply for ABN and TFN here for next week interview. Have to study for the interview too because there’s exam for it. Then, have to prepare for next week classes and also starting doing client’s project which I had put on hold since last month and promised to deliver it before August comes. WOW! That’s so busy. Also will start part time job next week.

Will update again soon for sure πŸ˜‰ Lots of post pending and the photos are all still in the camera, not yet transfer to the computer.

What a Crazy Exam!

Posted on June 24, 2011June 24, 2011 By sweet surrender 2 Comments on What a Crazy Exam!

Gosh! Just finished my exam about 2 hours ago. It was the craziest exam I had ever had in my study life.

It’s a 2 1/2 hour exam, there’s so much to write. From what I heard, usually for postgrad exam, there’ll be 3 hours minimum but this subject doesn’t. Luckily I applied for time extension, a benefit international student can have, we’ll get extra time in exam. It was extra 25 minutes. At first I didn’t bother about asking for extension but since it’s a privilege to have, why not? It won’t cost me a thing, there’s nothing to loss. Good that I made this decision. So I had extra time on top of the 2 1/2 hours else definitely couldn’t finish answering.

The exam should be an easy one compare to the one coming Wednesday but I threw 10 marks away for one of the questions because I couldn’t make sense of what the question was asking. ARG! So I just crapped ;p

Was writing like crazy, non-stop. Didn’t have time to check my writing, hope I didn’t make serious language mistakes until the lecturer has difficulty understanding what I’m trying to convey. It’s not Malaysia, bad English can be forgiven for exam but not here for sure. Really salute those who managed to leave early. Either they didn’t know how to do or they could write so fast. Never in my life writing so fast. If it’s 3 hours(with extra 25 minutues for international student, that makes 3 hours and 25 minutes! That would make whole lot of difference), then at least won’t be that bad but I would still throw the 10 marks away. At least I could write nicely for other questions. It’s all because of Part B & C which were very BIG questions with HUGE mark allocation. Fricking 80 marks!

Kind of relief when I found out that there were many people who didn’t manage to finish answering the questions. At least I finished them. Who knows due to that, there’s some moderations to it by then and might able to increase my grade a bit hehehe…

That’s all for now. Will update again. Hungry…

Counting Down to Exam

Posted on June 22, 2011June 23, 2011 By sweet surrender No Comments on Counting Down to Exam

WOW! Exam this Friday and coming Wednesday and one assignment due on Wednesday too.

Due the late upload of the assignment template from the lecturer, this is going to be my very first time doing last minute assignment. Sigh… If not for the template, my assignment is considered done as I had answered all the questions but the template actually asks for things that it didn’t ask in the question. So… Have to sort of redo the whole thing and do extra research right after the exam and it’s due in less than 10 hours! Need to restructure and add on with new research information for the 2000 words assignment. It’s already almost 2000 words and now need to add in new information, sure overshoot. At the end of the day, there’ll be lots of tweaking to do. So crazy…

I’m going to start a part-time job in July and another interview to go in July which was rescheduled because I couldn’t make it in June. Hopefully will get this job too. Better pay with an Australian corporate company based in NSW, it will surely make my resume look nicer even though it’s just a casual job rather than having being a waiter in a restaurant in Australia in the resume *LOL*

Gonna be very very busy after the exam with another project that I need to complete before August. Furthermore, I’m volunteering in the uni too and it will be time to welcome the new students which will mean extra job need to be done. Fully packed starting next month. Even the subjects I’ll be taking require a lot of work to be done. I can imagine how busy I am by then but I’ll survive. I’ll take the challenge πŸ˜‰

Have to live everything to the fullest now, my time in Adelaide will be up really soon. No time for procrastination.

Oh! Just realized I haven’t submit my Borang B -.-” So many last minute things I have to do this month.

Anyway, will update again soon πŸ˜‰

The Beginning of Winter 2011

Posted on June 18, 2011June 19, 2011 By sweet surrender 2 Comments on The Beginning of Winter 2011

Sorry guys! I have to password protect my previous post because of certain issue. Anyway, the password is easy to guess if you’re smart enough. πŸ™‚ If you want the password, just let me know in this post and I’ll send it to your e-mail. Never in my blogging life I have to do this but I have to this time.

Had a walk with my friend at Torrens river a week ago. Took some photos just to share them with you.

Managed to explore the river further up.

It was a nice walk.

It’s been quite cold these day, duh~ It’s winter! Of course it’s cold! Good thing it’s not as cold as some other country.

I just realized I haven’t complete my winter shopping ;p I need a pair of bedroom slippers because it’s really cold in my room. Luckily I’m staying on the 1st floor, still not that bad, don’t have to switch on the heater all the time. If staying higher up, it’s gonna be realllllly cold!

Gonna be a bit slow in update these 2 week because exam time is here… Hopefully can do well.

Blogging since 2002. Anything before 2006 is no longer available. It is no longer on this server. Back then, I built my own blog and updated it using HTML. No database or anything. Only started blogging fully with a CMS in 2006. However, whatever was on the Internet will stay on the Internet. So... It should be still somewhere on the Internet. Then again... Why do you want to dig that far?
