My Eye & The Clinic

Posted on August 1, 2007 By sweet surrender 7 Comments on My Eye & The Clinic

YAY! I’m one of the top 10 Advertlets referral winners. I’m ranked in the 4th place. Thanks to those that clicked on my links πŸ˜› It doesn’t matter anyway, even if you are in the top 3 you will be getting the same prize as me. πŸ˜› YES! I can finally cash out this month!

Hmmm… I’m wondering when will I be able to get a MacBook? Only until I have extra money. Summore I need money for my KL trip this year end(if everything goes as plan). How I wish the money can fall from the sky now…

I’m sure you know that my right eye is still not fully cured yet. Finally I went to the clinic yestersay. It scared the hell out of me, I HATE clinic, hospital or even doctors!!!

Since my bro was sick, I tagged along to the clinic and have my eye checked. I went to governemnt polyclinic, there’s no point to go to private clinic at all. It didn’t take much time also as many people lamented. Our family always go to government polyclinic first and get them to refer us to the specialist. It’s so much cheaper. A trip there including the consultation and medication are only RM1. I didn’t really know the procedure there as I always tried to avoid visiting clinic or hospital when I’m sick πŸ˜› Hehehe…

In case you are wondering how is the procedure, it’s different from private one.
1. Get a number at the counter and wait for your turn. It won’t take long. If it’s your first time (I lost my card πŸ˜› Hahaha…), just give them your IC. If you have the card, just pass the card to them.
2. When it’s your turn, pay RM1, get the numbers, room number and 2 copies of your number(one will be given to you, another will be clipped to your card).
3. After you get your numbers and card, go to the door with the room number assigned, slip your card that is clipped with the number into the opening of the door.
4. Sit and wait for your turn. It won’t be very long also although there are many people.

When it’s your turn, just go to the room. You will be attended by a dresser or sometimes a medical assistant(MA) and 1 or 2 nurses. They will assess your sickness first before referring you to the doctor.

Here’s my conversation with the MA:
MA: Yes?
Me: Look at my eye *Pointing to my right lower eyelid*
MA: *Look, feel, peel* How long already?
Me: Since May, there’s no hard thing that time, it burst in June. I thought it’s fine already but this hard thing appear.
MA: Ooooo… It’s nothing. Many people have it. Yours is small, no problem, let it cure by itself. I can’t do anything unless it’s big coz some people’s very big. Yours is small, it will burst when it’s time.
Me: Just like that?
MA: Yes, what do you want me to do? *smile*
Me: Ooooo… Ok… Then I just let it cures on its own.
MA: I can give you some vitamin C if you want.
Me: OK

He then wrote the prescription receipt.

Then, you hand over your prescription receipt to the pharmacy. They will give you a number and you wait for your turn. It won’t take long too.

Once it’s your turn, they will give you the prescriptions and tell you how to consume them. That’s all. Off you go…

The best time to go is around 3pm-4pm because there won’t be many people, they close at 4.30pm. I’m not so sure about in the morning. They open at 7.30am.

So… I’ll just eat my vitamin C(Ascorbic Acid 50gm) for 21 days as my supplement πŸ˜› Hehehe… Once a day. I hope it quickly burst!!!

Song Kheng Hai Hawker Center (1)

My mom asked me to cook rice last Sunday but I forgot to press the “cook” button of the rice cooker -.-” It was 2pm+ already when they got back. So we decided to go out to eat else we need to wait till almost 3pm then could have our lunch.

Went to Song Kheng Hai Hawker Center to have our lunch as the last resort because many places were closing.

Many people still having their lunch and you can see birds everywhere, on the table, on the floor, looking for food.

Left: Belacan beehoon… Yummy… Heavenly πŸ˜› It smells like smelly socks according to the many foreigners. One of the best belacan bee hoon is available here.
Right: Cha kueh… I love the cha kueh here. This is the best cha kueh in Kuching for me. Oh well… I grew up eating them so I tend to compare others’ with this one. Last time, long long time ago, almost 20 years ago -.-” OMG… Time really flies… So old already, oh dear… We used to buy them outside Capitol(Or “Capital”? I got mixed up already :P) Cinema where Tun Jugah building is now.

Left: Fried beansprout noodle. I like this noodle too, the sweet type, not the salty one.
Right: Noodle in soup with fishballs.

The stalls no longer operating in the evening since few years back. Their business is always very good as they are mostly hawkers that started their business since decades ago. Not only our elders like them but the younger generation too as we all grew up eating these food.

Circle Of Amour – Mission Accomplished!

Posted on July 31, 2007February 28, 2022 By sweet surrender 8 Comments on Circle Of Amour – Mission Accomplished!

Hahaha… Well… I didn’t intent to do that actually. I managed to have photos taken with two reknown photographers in Malaysia! It’s just for fun πŸ˜› Managed to get Kid Chan and Alvin Leong to take photos with me.

This is my first time meeting Kid Chan in person. Must take this opportunity to take photos with him! Very humble guy. When we asked to have our photos taken with him, he said that he wanted our photos too and passed us his camera so that he could also have a copy of our photos with him. Hahaha…

As for Alvin, πŸ˜› I have many photos of him in action *LOL* Just never have picture taken with him. It’s not the first time meeting him anyway. He’s a friend of mine hahaha…

So… Mission accomplished! This is the end of the Circle Of Amour report by Sweet Surrender.

Kuching Festival 2007 (1)

The line is back on 12am+ today. Tonnes of work need to be done πŸ™

On the 28th of July, before going to Alvin Leong Photography bridal fashion show, we decided to had dinner at Kuching Festival since it’s still early summore we couldn’t think of where should we have our dinner. For the sake of blogging hehehe… We went there to cover the food fair but due to Streamyx down time. I could only post it now. *SIGH*

It was the first day of the food fair. We only managed to visit the food stalls as we were running out of time.

As usual, food stalls… Food, food, food…

Left: We briefly visited the Garden Show. It’s a bit different compare to last year and the walking path is quite narrow.
Right: Balloons…

Our dinner.

Left: Chicken rice(RM3.50), not worth.
Right: Forgot what this is called. Chicken Popiah(RM3)? So-so only…

Left: “Chu chang fen” with sweet sauce, I don’t know what it’s called in English, RM3 or RM3.50, forget already. Not so bad but a bit dry because it’s not your usual “chu chang fen” that serves with slightly a bit of soup or sometimes they were fully soak in the soup.
Right: I have no idea what this is called. Hahaha… It cost us RM3. It’s a type noodle. Don’t know how to explain. In mandarin is “gan fen”(if not mistaken).

We left before it rained! Phew… I heard that the rain was very heavy but that time we were at Permata Carpark for the fashion show already.

Circle Of Amour – Part 3

Posted on July 29, 2007July 30, 2007 By sweet surrender 13 Comments on Circle Of Amour – Part 3

Sigh… Internet down since 12am+ until now it’s still not working πŸ™

Warning: Long post and bandwidth sucker ahead with lots of pretty girls’ photosss…

The most awaited fashion show is here! We were there at around 7pm yesterday. There were so many photgraphers on stand-by already. WOW! Everyone were using huge DSLR, I was feeling so out of place with my very compact digital camera -.-” I wanted to take the front seats and I asked Allen to lead the way since he has a DSLR with him hahaha…

The models were quite pretty unlike some other fashion shows that I attended before. Enjoy the photos hehehe… I didn’t use flash to take the photos because the flashes from the DSLRs were enough to brighten my shoots πŸ˜› However, some were blur, most turned out good. πŸ™‚

Almost all of the shoots of this model turned out sharp and clear because she took time to stop and pose.

This one was a bit fast but towards the evening gown part, she was too fast and the photos turned out blurred. She’s the one in blue evening gown.

This model was quite fast. She kept moving and I was having hard time to get clear and sharp shoots of her.

These two were quite fast also.

Left two: She’s didn’t stand still long enough.
Right: She was OK, she took time to pose.

All three evening gowns pictures turned out blurred. They were too fast -.”

These were OK except the model on the left. She is always too fast.

These shoots were quite clear except the last one, she turned too fast. *LOL* She’s always too fast hahaha…

I like the first model. πŸ™‚ Always slow and steady. The rest were quite fast. Hahaha… How many time I’m using the word “fast” in this post?

Group photos of after the fashion show. You know? Those with DSLRs are more considerate compare to some people with no DSLRs. Like the aunty the other day and some other people.

At the end of the show, everyone went up as close as possible to take photos of the models and Alvin’s team. Everyone is civilised enough to make way for each other to take photos and even one guy kindly let me took his place so that I could take a shoot and asked me whether I manage to take any shoot. I did! That’s the photo on the right. Hehehe… I like this shoot. Well… I cropped it, the original one is nicer. Others even apologized to me when they realised that they blocked my view hehehe… Of course, I also tried my best not to block them haha… Ah well… I’m so small πŸ˜› I don’t take too much of space, so it’s OK *LOL*

The photographers! See all those cameras. I want!!!

There will be a final post for Circle Of Amour hehehe…

Only started blogging fully with a CMS in 2006. However, whatever was on the Internet will stay on the Internet. So... It should be still somewhere on the Internet. Then again... Why do you want to dig that far?
