What Major Is Right For You?

Posted on August 18, 2007August 16, 2007 By sweet surrender No Comments on What Major Is Right For You?

Interesting quiz! You should tried it out. Hmm… From the result, I think I might have studied the wrong subject in college hahaha… But… I hate accounting, finance and marketing! It’s quite accurate that I like the 2nd, 3rd and 5th. WOW! Amazing! You should try it out! I guess I should consider one of these for my Master degree hehehe… If I intended to go to back to studies. 😛

You scored as Accounting/Finance/Marketing, You should strongly consider majoring (or minoring) in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Marketing, or related majors (e.g., Computer/Management Information Systems (CIS or MIS), Entrepreneurship, International Business, Operations Management, Public Administration, Real Estate, Risk Management, Sports Management).

It is possible that the best major for you is your 2nd, 3rd, or even 5th listed category, so be sure to consider ALL majors in your OTHER high scoring categories (below). You may score high in a category you didnt think you would–it is possible that a great major for you is something you once dismissed as not for you. The right major for you will be something 1) you love and enjoy and 2) are really great at it.

Consider adding a minor or double majoring to make yourself standout and to combine your interests. Please post your results in your myspace/blog/journal.

Al-Rajhi Bank @ Kuching

Posted on August 17, 2007August 18, 2007 By sweet surrender 17 Comments on Al-Rajhi Bank @ Kuching

OK… OK… Before that, I’m sure you will relate this post to one of the top bloggers in Malaysia as he had made a post about it lately. I’m not going to talk further about what he had blogged. Actually I also thought of what he had blogged even before he blogged about it but then he blogged about it first so there is no way I can post about it else I’ll be deemed as copycat. Sperm bank that is!(For SEO purpose 😛 hehehe…) Don’t get what I mean? See the logo *LOL*

I went to Al-Rajhi Bank the other day to get a current account. My aim was to get its debit card. Summore, if I’m not mistaken, during this promotion period, you do not need to have an introducer to get a current account with this bank. You only need RM100 to get a current account. You’ll get a cheque book and a Visa debit card after you signed up. Those are mine in the photo 😛

The bank is an Arab Saudi bank that is in the process of opening branches around Malaysia. This is the first branch in Kuching and from my observation, they will set up more branches soon. If you are wondering where it is situtated, it’s at Wisma Bukit Mata. Oh by the way, the interior is really really nice! It’s not your typical bank settings! Cool…

Finally I have my first debit card! Hahaha… I have a credit card already but it’s not mine, it’s a subsidiary card only *blek* At least I have a card of my own now hehehe… I will pay for what I used instead of owing people money and settle it at the end of the month which I’m not the one to settle it 😛 Also, this is my first current account(exclude my company’s current account) hahaha…

Dao Huei

Posted on August 16, 2007August 18, 2007 By sweet surrender 6 Comments on Dao Huei

Some called it “dao huei” or “dao hua”, I called it “dao hu hua” 😛 In Mandarin, it’s called “dou hua”. Used to buy them at Kenyalang.

It’s nice. I love it with syrup. Some people have it with gula Melaka or brown sugar syrup. There are many ways to have it but I still prefer the old school way, I believe it’s with plain syrup. The “dao huei” itself is kinda tasteless but if you savour it carefully, you can taste the soya bean taste. Love it, love it!

Can I say it’s soya bean pudding in English? Hahaha… Don’t think you can get this in any San Diego restaurants.

Fight Crimes & Road Safety Roadshow @ Tun Jugah

Posted on August 15, 2007August 16, 2007 By sweet surrender No Comments on Fight Crimes & Road Safety Roadshow @ Tun Jugah

This afternoon went to Tun Jugah because we saw something there when we passed by. It’s the launching of Kempen Pencegahan Jenayah & Keselamatan Jalan Raya 2007(roadshow of crime fighting and road safety campaign 2007). I think it will last till this weekend. Went there and took some photos to share with you.

There are many photos/images there for you to see. Also weapons that are used by gangs to attack their victims.

You can view many horrific images of accident victims such as bodies with no head or vice versa, upper body missing, detached heads, detached limbs, punctured stomach and more. If you can’t stand the images, I would suggest you not to see it but for me, I’m OK with it. Hopefully people will be more civilised on the road since there are many accidents happened nowadays. The latest one was the bus accident at Bukit Gantang, West Malaysia which is labelled as the worst accident in the country’s history. So sad… My condolences to the victims family. 20 died and 9 were seriously injured.

Besides that, there are also various illegal drugs on display to educate the public on various type of drugs such as ecstasy, syabu, ice…

You can check your summones there using the computer and also learn how to be Rakan Cop, it’s a program to help fight crimes by using SMS, if I’m not mistaken.

Speed detector and the traffic police’s bike. This one is new 😛 Looks new as it’s white hahaha… The old ones were yellowish already *LOL* You can ask them to demo the speed detector to you but we didn’t ask them to do it hahaha…

Left: More weapons.
Right: If you are thirsty, you can get free drinks from Vico hahaha… SWEET!

Left: The VIPs.
Right: Choral speaking by school children from St. Joseph Primary School. Interesting one. They are really good.

Demonstrations, advices and some self defence techniques from the expert from KL, I forgot his name, he’s always on TV and his presentations are very good.

That’s my report for the day hahaha…

Pulut Sambal

Posted on August 15, 2007August 15, 2007 By sweet surrender 8 Comments on Pulut Sambal

This is a type of Malay delicacies.I’m not sure what this is called. I think is “pulut sambal” in Malay Hehehe…

I love it! Especially the toppings are sweet, salty and spicy with dried prawns. I don’t like the one with sweet dessicated coconut. The one I’m showing you is with sweet dessicated coconut. The toppings are placed on the glutinous rice.

I used to buy this when I’m in primary school at my school canteen or sometimes bought it on the way to school from the aunty that sold kuehs. Seldom eat this now. It’s been quite a while already.

Blogging since 2002. Anything before 2006 is no longer available. It is no longer on this server. Back then, I built my own blog and updated it using HTML. No database or anything. Only started blogging fully with a CMS in 2006. However, whatever was on the Internet will stay on the Internet. So... It should be still somewhere on the Internet. Then again... Why do you want to dig that far?
