Straighten My Hair

Posted on May 1, 2009May 1, 2009 By sweet surrender 8 Comments on Straighten My Hair

All right! I know you people are waiting for the Breeze Party post but I’m not going to upload it today because I’m not really in the mood to edit and filter so many failed photos with my current condition, itchy nose and non-stop sneezing due to my sensitive nose that cannot tolerate smoke filled place. My longest record of sneezing frenzy was one week. I hope for this it won’t be that bad but kinda doubt it because I was in the place longer than previously. ARG!

Oh! Please send me photos with me from your camera if you have, I don’t have any photo with me in my camera. Thanks in advance.

It took me about 1 hour to straighten my own hair yesterday. It’s not easy to do it myself and with no clips at all to section my hair. So I tied my hair into sections with rubber bands. If not mistaken, I split my hair into 10 sections.

With the help of straightening iron my sis brought back last year and Sunsilk Straight & Sleek Anti-frizz Lotion, I started the whole process.

Well… It’s not easy. It’s not chopstick straight. Later towards the day, some curves showed up, at least it’s not curly as my normal hair. Even if I did the temporary iron straightening in the salon, it won’t stay chopstick straight but at least without the slight waves at the back. The waves were there because I couldn’t reach it and I didn’t want to risk melting the rubber bands for putting the iron too close to the rubber bands.

There is no way I can achieve chopstick straight hair without rebounding. Not like I want to, it will be very high maintenance with my natural curls.

Left: Picture taken about half hour after straightening. See how the curve came back?

Right: The one and only photo of myself in my camera taken in Merdeka Palace toilet ;p

Yesterday eye makeup failed badly because of the stupid double eyelids tape that didn’t stick! The tape was not properly cut and I couldn’t remove it properly. With all the tugging, the stickiness was gone. I wasted 2 pairs of the tape and the last one failed on me and I had to remove it in the toilet! GRRR!

Oh well… What to expect from cheap stuff like this? I’ve been using it for quite a while and how lucky that the sheet I’m using yesterday was not properly cut by the machine. I’m sure many of my photos were ruined by the double eyelids tape coz it “popped out” from my eyelid. BOOO!

Towards the night, I was not really in the mood for any photo because without the tape, my right eyelid was dropping and making my two eyes looked imbalance! That’s the problem when you are having a pair of eyes with one side of the double eyelid showing and another side hidden that makes the eyelid looked puffy.

Importance of Keywords

Posted on April 30, 2009October 24, 2013 By sweet surrender 3 Comments on Importance of Keywords

I always got question from people about how to get traffic to their blogs and my answer to them is always the same, keywords!

I only practice them when I feel like it, I don’t do it in every single post of mine.

Keywords are indeed very important to generate traffic from search engine. You also have to be fast in updating the latest happenings that are of interests to many people.

The theory proves true for many bloggers.

Here you see the evident for my case. I updated the news about the passing of Sarawak Chief Minister’s wife yesterday and instantly I got huge increase of traffic to my blogs.

It’s pretty fun to see the increase of traffic once in a while.

OK… Time for me to get my hair straighten for tonight! ;p

Passing of Sarawak Chief Minister’s Wife, Laila Taib

Posted on April 29, 2009April 29, 2009 By sweet surrender 5 Comments on Passing of Sarawak Chief Minister’s Wife, Laila Taib

I’m sure many of you heard of the passing Sarawak Chief Minister’s wife already.

In fact there’s been rumours spreading around since early this year saying that Puan Sri Laila Taib, wife of Sarawak Chief Minister Tan Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud, is very sick and dying. From what I heard in coffee shop talks was she was having final stage of lung cancer.

Anyway, she passed away at the age of 68 at 3.45pm at their residence in Demak Jaya.

What else we can say? Nothing but our condolences to the family.

The burial would be held at the Demak Muslim cemetery tomorrow morning.

My First Facial

Posted on April 27, 2009April 27, 2009 By sweet surrender 4 Comments on My First Facial

Went for my very first facial today at tHe Spring. It’s by Clinique.

I got my samples after I signed up as member of Clinque Malaysia. I always wanted to try Clinique products but it’s pretty expensive for me. I’ve been using pharmacy/supermarket brands products all these while. Having the samples really help as I will be able to know whether they suit me or not before buying such expensive products.

I’ve been using the 3-step system since 1st April 2009. Will have review for it soon, either in May or after I finish one of the products in the sample pack.

Went to my first facial this afternoon. I bought the RM150 Parkson voucher after having a chat with the counter manager there 2 weeks ago. She recommended me to sign up for the facial which is RM30 and RM120 can be used for product(s) redemption. So I was thinking that why don’t sign up for it since I never had facial before and I could buy some products to try out since the 3-step system is going pretty OK with me so far.

Finally I signed up and made an appointment for it. It’s today. I went and finally got my first ever facial. Was given a whitening facial. Very relaxing and my skin feels so clean. Finally I got the massage that I wanted badly for months. I don’t have to go get my hair wash to get the massage anymore ;p

The picture here showed you the products that I had redeemed last week during Bonuslink Members’ Day. Thought of getting the Clinique Turnaround Concentrate Visible Skin Renewer by topping up RM70 but I was told by the manager that it’s not worth it to get the small one. So she told me to stock up on the 3-step system especially the facial cleanser and the clarifying lotion. Then was given with Full Potential Lips Plump and Shine sample.

So basically, that’s about it.

Blogging since 2002. Anything before 2006 is no longer available. It is no longer on this server. Back then, I built my own blog and updated it using HTML. No database or anything. Only started blogging fully with a CMS in 2006. However, whatever was on the Internet will stay on the Internet. So... It should be still somewhere on the Internet. Then again... Why do you want to dig that far?
