Any Post Today?

Posted on June 5, 2009 By sweet surrender No Comments on Any Post Today?

Yes but a super duper random one.

So… What is your plan tomorrow? It’s another public holiday. I got nothing to do again. Gaming marathon again I guess…

Just got back from dinner with my friends. Talked about all those childhood food, you remember those biscuits, cookies and junk food? All those growing up in the late 70’s or 80’s will surely have those memories.

Wonder how can we stand all those sugar, MSG, salt, and colouring last time ;p We were stuffing ourselves with those junk food back then. I don’t think we can even eat much of those without feeling guilty or just find it too sweet, too salty or too unhealthy.

Those were the days when we have no worries about the world.

Ok… Going to end this random post. Time to sleep. Good night!

The Time Before Night Falls

Posted on June 4, 2009June 5, 2009 By sweet surrender 7 Comments on The Time Before Night Falls

I love sunset. I used to like to take sunset pictures but slowed down for couple of years.

These photos were taken this year and last year.

Looking back at those old sunsets photos reminded me of how nice sunset is.

I think I should take more photos of sunsets from now on as sunset is unique.

No two sunsets are the same.

Once it’s gone, it’s gone, you can’t turn back time.

Life is so fragile and full of ups an downs. Even though we know this is the fact, how many of us can really appreciate everything that we have in life and treasure it? Very little.

Sigh…

Young Mango Kerabu

Posted on June 3, 2009 By sweet surrender 8 Comments on Young Mango Kerabu

Are you salivating? I know I am! This is one of my favourite food. Once I ate too much and got stomachache because this is a sourish dish. Yummy… Composing this post make me salivate, I kept swallowing my saliva.

Kerabu is Asian salad. You can find them easily in Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Brunei, and maybe some other parts of Asia which I’m not so sure. Basically, you can find it in any country surrounding Malaysia.

There are many ways to do it and many ingredients can be used. I love young mango kerabu. The taste is very unique, sour(young mango), sweet(sugar), salty(belacan or the soya sauce) and spicy(chili).

The photo here is young mango with light soya sauce, anchovies, chilies, onions, and sugar. Just toss them and you are ready to savour it. *slurp* There are many ways and many ingredients that you can use but this is how I like mine. You can type “kerabu” in your search engine and you will surely find tonnes of recipes for it 😉

Don’t ask for any measurement, it’s up to you.

Do not eat kerabu if you have an empty stomach because it will cause you stomachache. Also not too much too. Young mango is quite sour and it can cause upset stomach. So eat in moderation.

You can eat it on its own, I prefer it this way or you can eat it with your rice.

DELICIOUS! Make me crave for one now…

Clinique 3-Step Skin Care System Review

Posted on June 2, 2009June 3, 2009 By sweet surrender 4 Comments on Clinique 3-Step Skin Care System Review

Remember I blogged about my first facial? The photo here shows you the trial pack, 15ml each. Aren’t these bottles cute? ;p

Now I’m going to review it after using it for 2 months. I started on 1st April 2009 and still using it now. It does solve my dry spots and fine wrinkles caused by dryness but not the oiliness of my face. The first two weeks of usage, I suffered some breakouts, small ones. I did some research on the net and it mentioned that it is due to the skin expelling those impurities. After two weeks, the breakouts got lesser and no more breakouts except during almost the time of the month which this is normal for me.

I’m using it twice daily, day and night.

This is my first time using such expensive products. Consider expensive for me.

Step 1: liquid facial soap
Not drying and it really opened up the pores for Step 2. When I used it for first few times, I got some reddish marks that would subside after about an hour. My skin is sensitive. Still I’m using it but after few times, they only appeared once in a while especially when it’s almost the time of the month. Other days are fine unlike other facial cleansers that I tried before.

Sometimes I would be using the Bioglo ClearPore Deep Cleansing Mask before Step 2. I remember the first time I used the mask, it took a lot of things out. Then 3 days later, I used again, nothing much came out. I used the mask 2 times a week or sometimes once a week. There’s nothing much came out since then with other facial cleanser.

With Clinique liquid facial soap, Step 1 really opens up the pores a lot! Most of the time I would surely get something out.

We can put it this way, either the facial soap really opens up the pores to get those things out or my skin isn’t really cleansed using this. That is why every time using the mask, there were sure to have something that came out. *shrug*

Well… According to Clinique, Step 1 is to prep your skin for exfoliation in Step 2. So… It’s more like opening up your pores for Step 2? Right?

I’m still using the trial bottle liquid facial soap. I’m not sure how long will it last, as I can’t see the content.

Step 2: clarifying lotion
The smell was horrible! I had to hold my breath every time I applied to my face. However, after I’m done with the trial bottle, the new bottle that I bought didn’t have such strong smell hmmm… Is it me getting use to the smell? I’m not sure. It gives me tingling sensation on my face, felt weird in the beginning but later got used to it and enjoying the feeling.

The trial bottle of clarifying lotion finished after 1 month of usage, I had stocked it up and using it now.

However, I think I want to switch to Clarifying Moisture Lotion after this as it is alcohol free. I think it will be a better option for my oiliness problem since the current one has quite a lot of alcohol judging from the smell and the consultant said so too. Even with alcohol, my skin oiliness level is still the same as it was before, no decrement nor increment.

We all know that, too much alcohol is not suitable for very oily skin as it strips off more moisture and cause your face to produce more oil to retain the moisture. She did mention to me about the non-alcohol based one but too late, I had already stocked up. Next time… Hmm… 6 months later maybe…

Step 3: dramatically different moisturizing lotion
I don’t like the stickiness and “shine” after using it. Sometimes I blotted it off. I will switch to gel after I’m done with this trial bottle. In fact I felt in love with dramatically different moisturizing gel few years back after trying out the sample in the magazine but never dare to invest in it.

It does moisturize my skin. I don’t get dry spots anymore.

From my estimation, it might take me 4-5 months to finish the 15ml dramatically different moisturizing lotion. I still have half bottle now.

That’s all from me on Clinique 3-Step Skin Care System. Do you have experiences to share?

Blank

Posted on June 1, 2009June 1, 2009 By sweet surrender No Comments on Blank

It’s the 6th month of 2009 and 2009 didn’t start out too well for me apart from some lucks in the beginning of the year and that’s it. I haven’t got any in recent months but tonnes and tonnes of uncertainties. It’s getting worst each day. It drains almost everything out of me mentally and emotionally. Some days I am positive but most days I’m very negative. I’m lacking of motivation too.

So sorry to have to let you read this post on the first day of the sixth month of 2009. I’m running out of thing to blog and I got nothing much to do even though I do have things to do because I’m not in the mood to do anything. This is the most boring Gawai I ever had.

Time like this, you wish your darling will be with you. People are crazily spending time like this with their darlings and showing off to people that they have their darlings with them everywhere they go. Yet… You… Just starring in jealousy. That’s why it is better to stay at home and face the 4 walls rather than going out bumping into those couples. I’m bitter! So what! You can’t control me for not being bitter anyway.

Sigh… Believe it or not? I spent my time playing games from 11am+ until now! Along the way, I downloaded some games also. Only these can free my mind from all the negative things and not thinking about anything.

I thought I would be able to be slightly relax after my exam but it’s oh so wrong! It’s even worst. That’s because I could ignore it and concentrate on my exam but now I have no more exam to worry about so the problem is taking up 100% of my concentration. Hate such feeling.

Still… I’m blank. Totally blank. I want to feel angry but I just don’t have the anger in me; I want to cry but I just don’t have the sadness to cry; I want to laugh but I got nothing to laugh about; I’m feeling blank… Never been so blank in my life.

I’ve been posting some emo stuffs in facebook and twitter of late. I’m sure many of you notice it. When I meet up with some people, they would ask me how am I doing in a very concerned tone or some would ask whether I’m OK or not. My answer to them is always the same, “Yeap… I’m fine. Nothing much happening. Just busy.” What kind of answer you want me to give? I can’t possibly said that I’m not fine and then start making you listen to my problems. However, thanks for your concern, at least I know that some people still care unlike some people that don’t even bother whether I’m still alive or dead!

Besides, this problem cannot be shared openly. Let me see… Only 4 people know about it but 3 of them do not have the complete story, each of them only know different part of the story. If these 3 people come together, there will be only 75% of the story. Only one person that knows everything. *wink* How I wish this person can free me from all these agonies.

Anyway, Happy Gawai and happy holiday to all of you.

Blogging since 2002. Anything before 2006 is no longer available. It is no longer on this server. Back then, I built my own blog and updated it using HTML. No database or anything. Only started blogging fully with a CMS in 2006. However, whatever was on the Internet will stay on the Internet. So... It should be still somewhere on the Internet. Then again... Why do you want to dig that far?
