Second Round @ bing! Premier 101

Posted on June 10, 2009June 10, 2009 By sweet surrender 6 Comments on Second Round @ bing! Premier 101

Hmm… I think this is the first time we have second round for our gathering. After we’re done at Fork N Knife we left for bing! at Premier 101. Usually, we will just stay at the eatery to chit chat until they almost closed but this time we left right away once we’re done. Maybe it’s the environment that just didn’t make us feel like staying longer *shrug*

With second round, I overshot my budget of spending that night. Once in a while, do no harm I guess… ;p

Left: My first time here at night. This is my second time here.
Right: This should be American chocolate cake. No desserts from Lee so Ann and Jee had to make do with this *joking*

I don’t remember what are these. Some sort of ice blended coffee, I think one with extra something and another with mint.

Left: I don’t remember what’s this too ;p

Right: My Chai Latte, hmm… I preferred the one I had at Starbucks last time using green tea.

I don’t know how we got into the topics of childhood food(cookies and junk food), we’re practically talking about it the whole night hahaha… Those food we had more than 2 decades ago… WOW! How time flies…

Fork N Knife

Posted on June 9, 2009June 9, 2009 By sweet surrender 8 Comments on Fork N Knife

Wondering where is this place? It’s just behind Up-Well and Aloha. It’s very secluded, I’m sure not many know about it.

Went there with my friends for our gathering. We are making an effort to meet up every 2 weeks. So far, so good even though most of the time there’s only 4 of us. The rest were just too busy for it I guess… Oh well…

The interior decor has nothing to rave about, too plain and just don’t have the nice ambiance that most eateries have. As the name stated, here I present you with fork and knife ;p If they can decorate the place a bit, it would be better.

They specialized in western food:

Left: Green tea, lemon squash, ice lemon tea, and lemon squash again. I don’t quite remember the price but each of them is below RM3.

Right: Squid Rings worth RM5 that we got by using My Privilege Book coupon if you spend more than RM40 in a single receipt. I still prefer Old Shop’s but too bad Old Shop is gone…

Left: Rib-eyes Steak(RM16). For the first time I came across such price for rib-eye steak.

Right: Grilled Chicken Chop(RM8), quite tender, not so bad.

These… The guys ordered JUMBO sets! Luckily I didn’t order such set, too big for me.

Left: Jumbo Lamb Shoulder(RM13.50).

Right: Jumbo Chicken Chop(RM12)

This time no dessert from Lee. :p After we had our dinner, we left for bing! at Premier 101.

Ethical Hacking, Hack Legally

Posted on June 8, 2009June 23, 2009 By sweet surrender No Comments on Ethical Hacking, Hack Legally

We all know that hacking is bad. It causes a lot of problems to businesses and end users. You might risk getting your confidential data stolen or might get your system go crazy. Everyone hates hackers but not those that hack ethically. It’s known as Ethical Hacking.

I’m sure some of you might be surprised about this. Is there such thing as ethical hacking? Yes, it’s very common in ensuring tight IT Security. Ethical hackers help companies identify and fix the loopholes in their systems to ensure users are protected from unethical hackers. If there is no such experts, we will be in very vulnerable state as we rely so much on the Internet.

In fact becoming an ethical hacker is something very interesting. I know some friends of mine are crazy about hacking. They hack to improve security and not to jeopordize security. Most of them do not have special certificate for this, they did it just for the fun of it. However, if you are really interested and would like to be certified, you can sign up for a course to be a Certified Ethical Hacker. This job can pay you really well. If you are certified, you will have better chances of getting hired.

As you know, the economy nowadays is bad and many got retrenched or even pay cut. This is one job that will ensure you will stay on the job and still get paid well because you are very important to the company, they cannot lose you, if they do, they will get themselves into huge trouble!

Besides that, there are also courses such as Security Fundamentals, Penetration Testing, Computer Forensics
, Disaster Recovery, and Secure Programming on offer. All these can pay you really well. I’m sure those who wants to venture into much more exciting IT field will find these very interesting.

As an IT graduate myself, I’m aware of how important these professionals are to the IT industry. I urge you to venture into these fields if you can. There isn’t many professionals like this, do something different and make yourself stand out among tonnes and tonnes of IT graduates. You will stand a better chance to get satisfying job with satisfying salary.

Serian Fire Again…

Posted on June 7, 2009June 7, 2009 By sweet surrender 6 Comments on Serian Fire Again…

You remember the the row of old shops that were burnt down in 2007? That time they blamed it on the low water pressure. This time, another fire broke out and same reason was given. The fire department there sure will get grill again!! Obviously as it’s in the newspapers on 3rd June, various politicians were very concerned about the low water pressure issue. YEA RIGHT!

I got to know about it from a forum on 1st June but since it’s a public holiday, there wasn’t anyone that could give a confirmation. It started very early on the morning on 1st June. Also we didn’t go back for Gawai, so we didn’t know much. Many thought that it was the newly built shops that were just completed after the 2007 fire. The next day, we found out that it’s another row of shop, somewhere behind Petronas.

Yesterday, my parents decided to go to Serian and after our lunch(will blog about it), we tried to locate the place that got burnt down. Here’s the photos:

Serian is a small town with 3 petrol stations located not very far from each other, so you can imagine if fire is to break out at anywhere near the stations and the fire is out of control. The whole Serian town might be gone! Scary…

Feeling very tired lately, I don’t know why. Not in very good mood too. Don’t feel like doing anything too. Blame the weather?

Here Kitty Kitty

Posted on June 6, 2009June 6, 2009 By sweet surrender 6 Comments on Here Kitty Kitty

I thought today would be a boring day. Luckily it’s not. We went to Serian to visit our relatives and had very late gawai visiting ;p

Anyway, when I reached my aunt’s house, I saw a kitten sitting there at the back of the house. It’s so adorable, sitting there just like a fur ball. Couldn’t help it, it’s so cute!

So I tried to take some photos of it from far but it’s too far. I decided to go closer hoping that it won’t leave, lucky me… It just sat there very still. I went closer and closer each time, I mean my camera and it still didn’t budge. I was expecting that it might claw my camera but it just sat still there as if thinking, “What is wrong with this human being, never seen a cat is it?” After quite a while, finally it stood up, did some scratching and stretching and left without even looking back.

This is the first cat that sit still for my camera. Usually others would walk away or move too much.

Here are some photos that I had taken. Played around a bit with Photoshop. Cute cat right?

p/s: I know there’s an error with my watermark ;p Don’t care la… Lazy change. So late already. Go to sleep now.

Blogging since 2002. Anything before 2006 is no longer available. It is no longer on this server. Back then, I built my own blog and updated it using HTML. No database or anything. Only started blogging fully with a CMS in 2006. However, whatever was on the Internet will stay on the Internet. So... It should be still somewhere on the Internet. Then again... Why do you want to dig that far?
