Left: The place we’re staying. On the 15th floor.
Right: The morning view of the place we stayed. Just looked out of our windows from the bedrooms, this is what we got.
Armed with a car, the 4 Kuchingites that got no prior planning on where to go went out on their own to look for a place for breakfast. Went to many places and were mostly not opened, as for those already opened, we didn’t even want to go try them out *LOL*. We even tried to go to one of the shopping malls(don’t remember which one) to look for breakfast but to no avail. Hahaha… The breakfast ended up became brunch.
Left: We just drove around and ended up at Kang Hoe Coffee Shop. It’s more like a market to me, sort of like the market at Tabuan Jaya. Many stalls were not opened and we just made do with whatever we could find. Frankly the place is quite dirty hahaha… Still we just ordered and ate. Don’t ask me where this is. I have no idea at all. *LOL* We were driving without any plan.
Right: Soya bean milk with gula melaka. Don’t remember the price. ;p Never bother also.
Left: I’m not so sure what is this, if not mistaken it’s wantan mee. Portion was big! The price is not expensive at all but I don’t know how much hehehe…
Right: Don’t remember the name but it’s just like cha kueh. Very cheap too! Taste wise, ok la…
Left: Chu Chang Fen, it’s different from what you can get in Kuching. These got no fillings and topped with prawn paste, the paste tasted like jiu eng chai‘s paste except this is so much more thicker and sweeter. It’s also topped with sambal. The sambal is heavenly! Sweet+Salty+Spicy=YUM! However, this is not the best chu chang fen in Penang, that’s what my friend said. The price for this plate is RM2.60
Right: Fried bee hoon, only RM1!!! Portion is standard portion enough to feed an average eater. Where can you can get this kind of portion with this kind of price in Kuching? RM1 food in Kuching extinct already *LOL*
After breakfast, we head over to Toy Musuem. You’ll see the post tomorrow ;p
Wa.. I like the place ur staying de view outside hehe.. I rmb last time went Penang ate their Char Kuew Tiao, very cheap but portion not enuf for me.. Ordered 2 bowls lol Noticed their portion there quite small but with cheap price last time haha.. 😛
Serene, hehehe… I’m pretty sure even though the portion is small for you but it’s still cheaper there compare to Kuching with the same portion ;p
On the left is wantan mee, on the right is ‘carrot cake’ gua!
jam, yea, it’s wantan mee and the one the right still didn’t manage to get the actual name coz never bother at all.
