The Daily Moo

Posted on January 4, 2008January 5, 2008 By sweet surrender 2 Comments on The Daily Moo

You know how some people are full of bull shits? Also you can never believe what this person says. All the so-called “no more”, “never again”, “it’s over”, “once and for all” etc. are all bull shits. Whoever that had fallen to it is just plain stupid!
I don’t understand how some people can be such a busybody. Anything happens, it will surely have something to do with you. I don’t you you are smart or stupid? *SHAKE HEAD*

Went to Daily Moo with Lee on 29th December 2007 while people are busy having steamboat. Someone asked me whether want to join or not but I didn’t want to because I already made appointment with Lee summore better don’t go spoil people fun. You say right or not? Hahaha…

Decided to go to Daily Moo. Where it’s located?
Just right opposite Secret Recipe at Jalan Song Thian Cheok.

The sweets you are seeing here is available there. They have this cow thing everywhere 😛 *LOL* They have convenience store, internet cafe, cafe in that one small space.

I was told that I couldn’t take photos in there -.- They said it’s their policy. Also added that I cannot take picture of the individual things. *SWEAT* I think they referred to the groceries hahaha… I told them I won’t, I only ake the overall photo of the place. I’m not sure they refer to the food and drinks or not hmm… They just opened two months back.

I didn’t expect the things there are so expensive -.-‘ I mean the food and the drinks. Got a bit of shock. Hahaha…

Left: I ordered chocolate smoothie, I can’t remember the exact name. I took the photo of the menu but it’s blur. Aikss… If you have nuts allergy, then you cannot order this. It’s really thick, topped with a scoop of chocolate ice cream and laced with chocolate syrup but not so sweet. I love the nuts in there, they blend it together with the chocolate. Yummy~ Recommended but it’s RM11. Expensive but worth it. However, if you want to indulge once in a while, this can be a very good choice. Their other smoothies are quite interesting also, I don’t think you can get it anywhere but here.

Right: Affogato(RM6, if I didn’t get the price wrong:P) Very small cup, small as in really small -.- Very thick coffee with vanilla ice cream and sprinkled with cocao powder I think. Well since it’s a type of espresso, that’s why. According to Lee, it’s thick and it’s good!
I got this from wiki:
“An affogato (Italian, “drowned”) is a coffee-based beverage or dessert. “Affogato style”, which refers to the act of topping a drink or dessert with espresso, may also incorporate caramel sauce or chocolate sauce.
A “cafe affogato” is sometimes referred to as a “cold shower”.
An “affogato di gelato” is usually vanilla bean gelato topped with espresso. Alternately, a bitter chocolate gelato (cioccolato) is an ideal match to espresso.”

So? Now you know and I know too hahaha…

Last but not least, they also sell wines and do hamper wrapping and delivery.

IVOQ My Privilege Book Launch & Fashion Show

Posted on January 3, 2008January 3, 2008 By sweet surrender 17 Comments on IVOQ My Privilege Book Launch & Fashion Show

Continue from IVOQ My Privilege Book Launch & Hair Show.

The boutiques that took part in the fashion shows are(not in particular order) De Home Boutique by ISANSMYTH, Cozzi Boutique, Cocoon, Great Wall Photo, Natale, Jp Boutique, Orangety, and Absolute Dress Gallery. The photos below are not in particular order, they are all jumbled up already, I missed out many shoots and many shoots are blur, those are pretty nice dresses but too bad… 🙁 All these shoots I had to adjust the curve and sharpen them if not too dark and kinda blur…

KL models are so different from Kuching. They are tall, good at posing, nice body, nice skin and nice hair. I’m sure many of those that attended that day agree with me. The feel was so different.

I like the 1st outift. Hehehe…

The yellow one nice but the colour not suitable for me 😛 Other colour with the same design should be nice also.

Love the second outfit but I’m too short to wear it, it will weigh me down hahaha…

I want the second outfit! 😛 The 4th one is also nice but yellow again…

Nothing that I like here.

Very bright colours but none I like.

Like the second and fifth outfits.

the fourth outfit very cute! 😛

First one looks sweet.

First one I like.

The last one not bad.

Battery low… Died few times. Didn’t manage to take many of the gowns 🙁

I like this pink evening gown but not suitable for me as I’m too short and I will be a walking cupcake if I’m wearing it. It will weigh me down also, you won’t be able to see me later, all you see is the gown *LOL*. If it’s like the purple gown then it’s OK. I don’t like “big” gown, I don’t want to be a walking cupcake! 😛 Sorry… I see many brides like to wear such “big” gowns and I just can’t help it but to think of them as walking cupcakes -.- Especially if they are short and petite like me hahaha…

After the event, the models signed their names on the backdrop.

That’s all. Enjoy the girls from KL and the clothes 😛

IVOQ My Privilege Book Launch & Hair Show

Posted on January 2, 2008January 3, 2008 By sweet surrender 16 Comments on IVOQ My Privilege Book Launch & Hair Show

Catscity.net was invited to cover the IVOQ My Privilege Book Launching cum fashion show yesterday at Tun Jugah at 1pm. Anna was there also for the hair show! Hehehe… We were feasted by clothes from 7 boutiques and 1 local designer, ISANSMYTH, with 16 professional female models from Kuala Lumpur parading in the longest catwalk runway ever happening in Kuching!

The launch was officiated by Alan Sim(center). Jodie(left) and Angelina(right) are the people behind the idea of this book. They released the balloons to mark the launch. You can learn more about IVOQ My Privilege Book here

Here! Let me show you the book and the card.

Our batteries all dried up as it’s non-stop catwalk! I had to resort to my phone to take photos of the hair show featuring Anna. The first hair show wasted my battery. We were told the models were supposed to pose at the platform first before start walking but those hair show models from Ray’s Salon didn’t do that -.- We were practically chasing after them to take photos. Cameras were everywhere and some people were damn selfish and too much. Blocked every single views of ours, there’s also pushing around too by one fat lady! Sucks! There’s a bunch of videographers and photographers that only cared about themselves. Also a middle-aged lady kept walking in front of the platform whenever she had the chance, please lar people is running an event here, can’t you use the other way, why must you budge into the closed area just to pass things to your daughter or to carry your shopping bags! Such simple common sense and courtesy you also don’t know.

If I had blocked your views or accidentally bumped into you, I’m so sorry. I didn’t mean to, I tried to stay clear from people’s view but I was pushed and people even went in front of me as if I’m invisible while I’m shooting. I had to find spots quickly else I’ll miss out all the photo opportunities. Sigh… When time like this, how you wish you have a DSLR with you, even most of the models only posed for DSLRs. *Sigh* The public won’t care a damn thing about you also even you’re invited and have privilege to go up close. We should be given a pass, that way it could help control the crowd better as some areas were blocked only for us, but some members of the public took advantage of it. I should consider getting a DSLR(not my first time saying this :P) but not so soon… Come! Anyone want to sponsor me? Or money just fall from the sky. Hahaha…

It doesn’t matter whether you are invited or not when it’s time to start snapping, no one will care whether they are invited or not. At least those invited got place to sit and were given with the books for free! YAY! 😛 There’s all food and drinks offered but we were not given any, it’s all right anyway because we won’t have time to enjoy them as we need to “work”.

Hair show by Ray’s Salon.

Hair Show by Crowning Glory. These were taken with my phone.

ANNA!! Hahaha… I thought I could get better photos of her but camera battery died… I used my phone to take her photo. Hence the lousy colours.

Fashion show coming up…

Breakfast At Madam Tang’s

Posted on December 31, 2007November 23, 2008 By sweet surrender 10 Comments on Breakfast At Madam Tang’s

Got a shocked last Saturday(29.12.07), got Josh’s SMS saying that he’s coming to Kuching on Sunday morning! WOW! I had to go to Serian on Sunday so I could only meet him for breakfast. We were busy on Sunday that we couldn’t pick him up from the airport but good thing Naomi could make it.

After discussing with Rose, we decided to go to Choon Chong Cafe at Abell Road. So I mass SMSed to all the bloggers that I could find in my phone, sorry if I missed you out, I randomly picked some names and asked them to spread the words since we practically know each other, summore it’s quite last minute as I only sent the SMS out in the evening. Guess what he’s here for?!?!? He said that he wanted to challenge Tim’s and his gang in bowling because he lost the other time when he’s here for Catscity Clique *LOL* Or there might be some other matter that he needed to tend to that we don’t know.

Anyway, on Sunday morning, Rose, JF and Tim found out that Choon Chong Cafe was not opened. We changed to Madam Tang’s since the nearest laksa place is there. One of the best laksa can be found there too. I reached at almost 10am, the same time as Josh, Naomi and her brother, they came straight from airport. I was supposed to be there with Rose at 9.30am but Jimmy last minute told me he that wanted to join us. He was supposed to go “dating” at Serikin but plan changed.

Left: They designed new menu! It’s been quite a while not going there. You know, if you come to Kuching, the locals will surely bring you to eat laksa or kolomee for your first meal here. Hehehe… Don’t ask me why hahaha… I don’t know also, it’s like a tradition 😛
Right: Gui Lin Gao with honey(RM1.50), herbal jelly, quite bitter but you can have it served with honey.

Left: Sarawak Laksa-regular(RM4.50)
Right: Beef noodle(RM4.80), since Josh had tried Sarawak Laksa before, so we asked him to try the beef noodle as I heard that the beef noodle is one of Madam Tang’s specialties. Sorry for the picture hahaha… I forgot to move the chopsticks and spoon aside 😛 Talking about morning… I’m was still blurred 😛

Hmm… As blur as I could be, even my photo of the menu turned out so blur that I can’t see the prices and the food names -.- I hope I got the prices and names correct in this post *LOL*

After breakfast, it’s 11am, it’s time for me to leave as I need to go to Serian, we had our group photo taken.

Our group photo. Hmm… Do I need to introduce them? I’m quite lazy and tired hahaha… Since I had blogged about them before, they are all familair faces to you already 😛 Hehehe… Gladiezz and Angel left early. Eve? She left early too.

Happy New Year!

Blogging since 2002. Anything before 2006 is no longer available. It is no longer on this server. Back then, I built my own blog and updated it using HTML. No database or anything. Only started blogging fully with a CMS in 2006. However, whatever was on the Internet will stay on the Internet. So... It should be still somewhere on the Internet. Then again... Why do you want to dig that far?
