Guilin Sanjin Compound Watermelon Frost

Posted on January 21, 2008February 5, 2022 By sweet surrender 21 Comments on Guilin Sanjin Compound Watermelon Frost

I still cough. So many people suffering from cough, flu or down with fever nowadays. I guess it’s that time of the year again. That’s why I decided to come out with this post.

Guilin Sanjin Compound Watermelon Frost is something you can consider when you are having cough or ulcers or toothache. WAIT! This is not paid! This is what my family always use when we have mouth ulcer or sore throat. It’s quite effective. My late grandmother introduced this to us long long time ago. We used to buy it from those China paddlers at Kenyalang but now you can get them at pharmacies, Chinese medicine shops or bigger grocery shops. There was one period of time where imitation ones were everywhere, so becareful when you want to buy it. If you are not sure, better go to the reputable Chinese medicine shop and you won’t be cheated.

Before I go further, I have to emphasize that this is a traditional medicine, not everyone can take. It works wonderfully for us but I can’t guarantee that it will work for you.

Once I accidentally sprayed half the bottle into my throat because the cap went loose and I was almost choked by the powder! Then guess what!??! My sore throat cured overnight! Hahaha… However, don’t ever do this, it’s very dangerous. Everytime when I feel like I’m going to have a cough, I’ll just spray it into my throat and let it stayed there and dissolved by itself, there won’t be cough coming. If already having cough, then at least it won’t be that bad. It’s great for ulcers too! Just spray it to the area. The ulcer would cure really fast, it won’t sting too.

Be it for cough or ulcers, It’s best not to drink water immediately after that, let it dissolves on its own.

Saying that, why mine is that bad this time around? This is because we ran out of it, so I didn’t have any to use. That’s why I coughed so badly but still not so bad as some people that cough till they couldn’t sleep. I have it now, so whenever I feel want to cough, I’ll just spray it into my throat. I won’t cough anymore, maybe a bit but not that bad. The earlier you have it, the better it is.

Don’t ever ever eat sweets or the so called Strepsils! I coughed so badly last night because of Strepsils! ARG! After the sweet is gone, you will cough like crazy -.-”

Guilin Sanjin Compound Watermelon Frost tasted bitter with a bit of cooling sensation but I’m used to it, so it’s nothing to me. For those that don’t like bitter stuff, I don’t think I can help you hahaha…

It can also be used for external wounds such as minor burns and scalds. Why don’t you try it out. It’s less than RM4, the most expensive maybe RM5 depends on where you buy.

By the way, here’s some details that you might want to know to make sure that you are not cheated with imitation ones:

Day 4(12.01.08) – AMBP Gathering: Coffee Therapy for Bloggers

Posted on January 20, 2008January 20, 2008 By sweet surrender 2 Comments on Day 4(12.01.08) – AMBP Gathering: Coffee Therapy for Bloggers

After breakfast at Holiday Inn, we waited for the shuttle to send us to Bukit Bintang. I tried to ask them to send us to Mid Valley as it’s on the way but the supervisor didn’t allow it as there were other people following the shuttle too. So we had to go to the designated area to be fair. Well… It’s free, nothing much can be done. It’s all right, we’ll just take the monorail from Imbi to Mid Valley.

When I was walking towards KL Sentral, I realised that my foot steps were getting louder and louder and finally… See the left picture *LOL* Tried to buy a pair at KL Sentral but not worth it. Luckily it’s a sandals I still have two other support at the ankle, if it’s just slippers then I will definitely have to buy one. I dragged my feet all the way to The Gardens, Mid Valley hahaha… Ivan was at the station waiting for friends, he greeted me else I won’t be seeing him also *LOL* The right picture is my RM25 slippers from Bata at Mid Valley, the most expensive slippers I’ve ever buy :p Wilson insisted me to buy before going to lunch hahaha… Nyek… Nyek… Nyek… My foot was supported by Wilson’s foot so that I could get a better photo of my slippers *LOL* Thanks hahaha… Did you know that he said that if by the time he reaches 40 and we’re not married yet, he wants to marry me? *LOL* QUICK! If you don’t want him to get me, you better act fast! Hahaha… I’m so desperate πŸ˜›

We were so late that more than 50 people already claimed their drinks. We were not entitled to free drinks anymore… Hahaha… What to do? No need to drink hehehe… I had my water bottle with me πŸ˜› I would rather drink plain water instead of sweet drinks and I’ve been a regular customer at Starbucks ever since I’m in Genting.

For those late comers like us, we got nothing hehehe… However, we were lucky enough to win some prizes from the lucky draw!

The 3 Kuchingites that won the lucky draw! Damn lucky. Even those not from Kuching but hung out with us all won the lucky draw, wow… We were such a lucky bunch hehehe… Platinumgirl, Jimmy and I. The photo shows almost all the prizes that we got πŸ˜› I gave out my movie passes that I got from FACES to Platinumgirl and Wilson I think or is it Daniel? Aiksss… I lost track hahaha…. There were so many movie passes in the bags! *LOL* I gave mine all away to Wilson. There were so many lipsticks and all of them are the same colour in one box, Platinumgirl got it. Goodness! Wonder what are they thinking by giving all the same colour -.- She gave each of us one hehehe… I don’t use lipstick, might put it on sale in Ebay *LOL* Lipstick from Loreal up for grab, anyone!?!?!.

Left: Me! Finally my name was called! Hahaha…
Right: Daniel the guy in red, went to Catscity Clique last year hehehe… He’s more or less become part of Kuching blogger *LOL* He was damn lucky! His name was called for the lucky draw and he was in the toilet hahaha… Then not long later, his name was called again for another round! WOW! See that’s how lucky our group was hehehe… The girl in pink is Sammy that loves loofah so much hehehe… She also won the lucky draw hehehe… Hmmm… The guy at the back… Hmmm… I think his name is James not so sure πŸ˜› Sorry… The one on the most right is Ivan hehehe… Long time no see πŸ˜›

Left: Platinumgirl and I with one of our lucky draw prizes πŸ˜›
Right: Yvonne and I. I didn’t manage to talk much with her.

There were many other bloggers like smashpop, Peter Tan(which I always said that he’s Paul Tan -.- aiyoo… I always got their names mixed up :P) I didn’t manage to mingle around because I don’t know how hahaha… Not unless you approach me, I won’t approach you hehehe… Basically, I didn’t manage to know many people that day and I wasn’t in the group photo because we had to get our lunch and prepared for another bloggers’ meet which at the end I didn’t involve instead sitting at the corner of Starbucks with Wilson and LeeTeeng hahaha… Louiss said that I was so busy at the AMBP Gathering that he didn’t go over to greet me *LOL* However, he did greet me before I left to go to Pavilion hehehe… In fact he did greet me earlier on but I didn’t notice :p Or I did notice but didn’t respond as who knows he’s greeting someone else hehehe… I didn’t know him that time too.

That’s all for the gathering and NO! I didn’t go there just to attend this event hahaha… I’m not like you-know-who that always have to fly to various places just to attend an event on invitation or on self-expense. Just happened that I’m there. πŸ˜›

My First Encounter With The Spring

Posted on January 20, 2008January 20, 2008 By sweet surrender 4 Comments on My First Encounter With The Spring

I know… I know… Everybody had blogged about it. It’s everywhere in the blogsphere. I wasn’t there for the opening and the first few days of the opening because I was in Genting and KL. I’m going to take a break from the Genting-KL post first with this as I’m so damn kiasu. I must update first before somebody does.

I was supposed to go with somebody after got back from KL but we’re sick and had to postpone. Who knows… The sickness isn’t that light… I’m still sick now… body still aching *COUGH*COUGH*SIGH* What to do but have to wait till we’re better but oh well… Since somebody had already been booked earlier to go there, that somebody decided to go without me yesterday. I wasn’t invited to join because I’m so out of the way, I’m a fun spoiler, I’m very troublesome, I only know how to break people heart, I’m a huge bulb! I admit I am, so what?!??! Oh well… What to do? Not the first time. Cannot meh?!?!? As kiasu as I could be, I decided to go there with another friend yesterday evening since he wanted to “survery” the market *LOL* for CNY clothings.

Enough of the craps… Let’s go back to The Spring. Just show you some photos, I’m sure you’ve seen a lot already.

The parking reminded me of KL shopping malls.

The fountain, people kept throwing coins in! For goodness sake you people! Why do you do that, watch too many TV is it? The Spring is already rich enough, they do not need you to donate extra money! Keep your coins for the rising living cost! Ish… Damn sakai lar. The management kept asking people not to throw coins in but these people have too much money I guess… Aiya… So much, give it to me lar!

Ok… Ok… Actually I’m in very foul mood now, that explains all these. I don’t care… Shoo~ Go away if you don’t like!

Left: Still heaps of human beings! We were lucky to find a parking place once we were allowed to go into the parking bay. The parking bay is always full -.-‘
Right: The “lanterns”.

Left: CNY mood.
Right: The overall view of the fountain.

Left: Food Bazaar!
Right: The pricings are pretty high for Kuching standard, it’s KL standard. -.-

Anyway, there are many shops that are not open yet. Padini Concept Store is opening there too but I already bought a necklace from Padini Concept Store at Sunway Pyramid, hehehe…

So many branded stuffs there, I don’t have that kind of spending power anyway hahaha… I don’t spend on branded stuffs. So it’s only a place for me to window shop and wash my eyes and experience the very cold air-conditioning *LOL*

Happy Sunday to you! As for me, I’m still sick and not in very good mood. I’m not an angel, I’m not a saint, every little thing just seemed to irrates me now. NO! Not PMS-ing *LOL* It’s the sick-sick bug that is bugging me.

Day 3(11.01.08) – Klang

Posted on January 19, 2008April 5, 2009 By sweet surrender 7 Comments on Day 3(11.01.08) – Klang

Went to Klang, it’s all about food. Since it’s night time, can’t really do much except eat, eat, eat hahaha… Thanks to Vincent and his friend(whom prferred not to be named, if I’m not mistaken :P). Oh.. Remember to get your customised Valentine’s Day presents from them at Heartbeat.

First stop, bak kut teh. Klang is famous for its bak kut teh. I’m not very sure of the name of this shop, in Chinese according to the signboard is “Chung Lu Wa Bao Rou Gu Cha”. You see Chinese, Indians there enjoying the bak kut teh except malay because it’s pork!

In Klang, it’s customary to have bak kut teh with Chinese tea, I don’t think you will see this practice in Singapore or other part of Malaysia. The rice is not plain rice like what you got in Kuching, it’s called “oil rice”, just like the rice you get when you order chicken rice. It’s so smooth and “slippery” hahaha… Smelt nice too.

Left: Braised chicken feet with mushroom, yum… Hahaha…
Right: The main dish! Bak Kut Teh from Klang! It’s different from what you get from Kuching, you either get tasteless bak kut teh here or very strong taste bak kut teh. In Klang, this bak kut teh is quite sticky, as in not that watery. I’m not sure about other shops in Klang that sell bak kut teh though, this shop’s bak kut teh is quite sticky.

After bak kut teh session, we went to the a roadside stall that has been operating there for 30+ years. It’s the herbal tea that they claim it’s good for health and some sickness like cough, flu, fever etc. We drank the one to cool ourselves down after bak kut teh. It’s so thick! They warned us that it’s very bitter but hehehe… Not that bitter after all, well… For some people thet might not be able to stand it but it’s OK for me sap sap sui After you drink the bitter tea, they will pour the sweet tea to clear the bitterness. The cooling sensation in ur chest and throat was really nice. Don’t ask me about the exact location though πŸ˜› If you want to try, you can just go around Klang to ask people about it, they will know where.

Next, we went to buy muachi. They also sell tang yuan, you know the thing when you eat when the Chinese are celebrating Winter Solstice. Since we’re full, so we didn’t dine there. It’s a roadside stall also, very popular in Klang. Their business is so good! WOW! The muachi is nicer to eat when it’s hot but well… Nothing special, it’s just muachi with lots of grinded peanuts. As for the tang yuan, we didn’t try as we were too full. The ingredient for tang yuan and muachi are the same. Tang yuan is served with syrup and muachi is served with grinded peanuts.

They brought us to PKGR, hehehe… I don’t remember the full name. This is where people like to fish and hang out at night. We had our muachi there.

After we’re done with our muachi, they sent us back to hotel and we got lost along the way because the hotel is so seclude *LOL*. At the end had to call the hotel for direction.

Oh we did take a glimpse of the “castle” in Klang also hahaha…

Day 4 coming soon…

Day 3(11.01.08) – Sunway Pyramid

Posted on January 18, 2008November 23, 2008 By sweet surrender 4 Comments on Day 3(11.01.08) – Sunway Pyramid

We were supposed to play at Sunway Lagoon but we’re too late. They open on 11am and close at 6pm, when we were at the hotel, it’s already 2pm+, so there is no point to go there anymore. Since we couldn’t online in the hotel, we went there to online! πŸ˜› Hahaha… Holiday Inn Glenmarie has free shuttle to send us there.

They dropped us here.

The entrance and the rubbish bins πŸ˜› Hahaha… Very nice… We don’t have this in Kuching.

Chinese New Year’s decorations. Very red, very orange. I only managed to walk half of the second floor and not-even-half of the ground floor while waiting for my turn to online hahaha… Didn’t intend to shop there, just went there to use the Internet and waiting for friends to pick us up to Klang:P I heard there’s new wing or something but I don’t care! Hahaha… My holiday this time is just to escape from Kuching and conquer the theme parks. Too bad only managed to conquer Genting Highlands.

Left: There was a short ice skating performance there.
Right: The floor with all the food establishments.

While waiting for my turn to online, I walked around and only bought a lipbalm from Sasa *LOL* Then just simply snaped snaped around.

While walking around, I found out that I can get Sunway Lagoon’s view, so I just snapped some photos. This is my second time to KL and this is my first time coming to Sunway Pyramid.

It’s so hot… Playing water at this time of the day will surely roast you hahaha…

When we reached Sunway Pyramid, we went to look for food first, very late lunch before looking for a place to get free Internet. I didn’t eat much coz I had a very huge portion of breakfast at Starworld(casino at Genting), I was still full. Went to Mr Teppanyaki because of the price. Hahaha…

Ordered this beef teppanyaki set, only RM14.90+ inclusive of cincau drink. Jimmy let me ate the seaweed roll because I didn’t have any appetite hahaha… I did try some of the beef, soup, rice and so on. Just for the sake of trying.

Left: The sauces but no wasabi πŸ˜›
Right: Cincau drink that I mentioned that came with the set and my hot citron tea(RM4.90), it was so sweet! As if the sugar is free. Hahaha…

That’s all about Sunway Pyramid. Will tell you about Klang later…
