The Opening Ceremony Of Sushi King In Sarawak – Part 1

Posted on January 30, 2008November 23, 2008 By sweet surrender 14 Comments on The Opening Ceremony Of Sushi King In Sarawak – Part 1

YO! So happy! Got invited to the Opening Ceremony of Sushi King in Sarawak at Boulevard hehehe… Woke up so early today because of this. Need to go there early, scare can’t find parking. I went to pick up Alysha and then we went to Jimmy’s house and waited for Rose, 4 of us went in one car ๐Ÿ˜› Met Greg there.

YAY! We’re here. Registered ourselves and we got a goodie bag each! Guess what!??!?! FREE Sushi King card! I had spent my RM15 applied for it the other time, so regret… Hahaha… I’m selling it off and it’s SOLD for RM10! ๐Ÿ˜› There’s a pen in there, RM10 voucher, and ang pao packets(no money of course).

Hehehe… Went early and got the front row ๐Ÿ˜› While waiting for the VIPs, we were feast with Sarawak traditional music.

Left: Waiting for the VIPs.
Right: Silas the MC.

Orang Ulu traditional dance. However, they were not all in Orang Ulu’s costumes. According to Silas, those with feathers were Kelabit (they called themselves Anak Adi Rurum Kelabit) and those with interesting head dress were the Lun Bawangs.

Left: Sushi King(Sushi Kin Sdn. Bhd.) is under Texchem Resources Sdn. Bhd. This is the the Founder/Chairman/CEO of Texchem, Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Fumiko Konishi.
Middle: This is YB Haji Datuk Talip Zulpilip, chairman of SEDC(Sarawak Economic Development Corporation)
Right: Opening officiated! As far as I know, we were very good boys and girls, we tried not to interfere with those reporters. Only went up close after they were done.

Presenting a souvenir.

Left-Right: Puan Sri Datin Seri Atsuko Konishi, Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Fumiko Konishi, YB Haji Datuk Talip Zulpilip and Yasuhiro Nishida(Managing Director of Sushi Kin Sdn. Bhd.)
This is the press conference session. We got to know that there will be a Sushi King outlet opening in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah this 31st March. They are planning to open in Miri, Bintulu and Sibu. There will be 5-6 more outlets opening in Sarawak within this year to achieve the 50 outlets target. Currently there are 44 outlets in Malaysia. The thing about Sushi King that stood out from the rest is the pricing for West and East Malaysia are the same! I know the kentai sushi is the same(kudos to that!), the set meals aren’t… Hmm… Not so sure, as I got the price from the website that time.

Let’s cut the ribbon! We tried our best to stay out of the way of the reporters. I stood on the chair with Rose hehehe… What to do? We are so small hahaha…

Toured the place. We didn’t dare to follow but all the reporters followed. So we waited outside, then Greg went and we followed his back. When we were there, the Asst. Business Development Manager said,”Bloggers right? Yes, yes… Bloggers can go in, Go… Go… Go…”. *LOL* We quickly scrambled to the kitchen to take some shoots of the VIPs and the kitchen.

Left: You don’t get to see this everyday ๐Ÿ˜› Hehehehe… The kitchen is clean and spotless.
Right: The buffet… Food post coming up in part 2 hehehe… OMG! Lots of sushi!!! Yum~ Yum~

Only started blogging fully with a CMS in 2006. However, whatever was on the Internet will stay on the Internet. So... It should be still somewhere on the Internet. Then again... Why do you want to dig that far?
