Crazy Days

Posted on September 18, 2011September 19, 2011 By sweet surrender No Comments on Crazy Days

All right! I thought I will be posting more often after exam or have time to sit down to compile my photos but I had been fully occupied since Friday!

Now, it’s already Sunday 1.15am! It’s my very first time staying out soooooooooo late outside and sleeping only few hours and then continued with my fun activities.

Let’s see… Friday:
8pm – Dinner and dessert
11pm – Drink (just a bit of red wine) at friend’s house before heading out for clubbing

Saturday:
12am – Headed out for club hopping: Swish -> Heaven -> McD(went there for soft drink and some of them had breakfast at 3am!) -> Lavish (not drinking even a bit at all the clubs!)
5am – Headed to friend’s house (a bit of red wine)
5.30am – Home!
6am – Slept!
11am – Woke up
11.45am – Adelaide Hills -> Barossa (lots of wine – red, white, moscato)
7.30pm – Accompanied my friend while waiting for her friends for pre-drinking session in her apartment. I didn’t go, I didn’t drink too.

Sunday:
1am – Home and had supper

The clubbing scene here is really different from M’sia. Smoking is totally not allowed inside. I LIKE! However, the music wasn’t good. Sorry to say that even Kuching has better DJs. So… It’s a good thing for me. I reached home not smelling like walking cigarette, so dead tired with painful feet (wore high heels walked from one end of the city to the other end!), removed my makeup and went straight to bed.

Will be going to Harbour Town later in noon. I guess that’s all and I’ll be going back to my normal routine *LOL* Supposed to be going for a trip to Kangaroo Island this coming Tuesday and Wednesday but the plan kept changing so I decided not to go. One week holiday… What should I do with it. Monday going for volunteer briefing, Wednesday and Thursday work, Sunday volunteer at Mawson Lakes campus. Then back to reality. So… Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday are empty! Must find something to do, cannot waste the holiday like this.

Now almost 1.30am, I haven’t shower! Should go now, then sleep.

Good night!

The Royal Adelaide Show 2011 – Part 5

Posted on September 16, 2011September 18, 2011 By sweet surrender No Comments on The Royal Adelaide Show 2011 – Part 5

Continue…

The crowd!!

There’s many winery there, I tried so many type of wines until my friends had to tell me to stop drinking or else they’ll have problem getting me out of there! Hehehe… I got no idea how much I drank but combine all of them I think it’s more than a glass. Luckily no allergy reaction. Ok… Hmmm… I used to get all the itch back home from all these alcohol but here… I haven’t develop any. Don’t know it’s good or bad news. One thing for sure, me no fan of any type of alcohol.

There’s also the Cellar Door Experience but I didn’t join, other friends joined but the other friend and I decided not to join. Once I heard that we had to sit there for quite a bit of time, don’t remember how long, 45 minutes? 1 hour? I rather go out there and explore the other section of the The Show than sitting in one place. Besides, I’m not interested in it.

Left: Tried some olive.

Right: My very first time having lamington, sooooo sweeet. Took a photo with the mascot. My hand was holding the empty plastic cup for wine tasting ;p See… The weather was so warm that day that I was going around sleeveless!

Lots of food to sample. Sampled till full! 😉

Left: Machineries at The Show.

Bight: Bees found there too with its hive.

Animals could be found also. Rabbits!! Some were HUGE!

Fish.

Birds and cats.

More animal will come soon from domestic to farm animal.

Good Sink for Life

Posted on September 15, 2011September 15, 2011 By sweet surrender No Comments on Good Sink for Life

One day when I have my own house, I will definitely get a granite sink installed for the kitchen. It is made with 80% Quartzite and 20% Acrylic and has the ability to withhold 550 Degrees of heat! What’s more, scratch resistant and can withstand all those harsh household chemicals such as household acids and cleaners.

Why not? Your kitchen sink should last you for the lifetime of you living in your house. That’s why it is important to get quality sink. Do consider granite sinks for the durability.

The Royal Adelaide Show 2011 – Part 4

Posted on September 14, 2011September 14, 2011 By sweet surrender 4 Comments on The Royal Adelaide Show 2011 – Part 4

Finally got time to compose this post! Well… I went to the Royal Adelaide Show on the second day. It’s a Saturday, the crowd was huge!

Left: The entrance. It was at Showground where I had my exam last study period. Coming here felt as if like I’m going for exam hahaha…

Right: The Yellow Brick Road is where you could buy a bag with the map in there and later go to the booths with the signage to claim freebies! It’s only $10, pretty worth it, the things you’d get cost more than that but I didn’t buy it. A bit regret not buying it ;p

The Royal Adelaide Show also known as the Royal Show or simply The Show, is an annual agricultural show/fair held in Adelaide, South Australia that begins on the first Friday in September, or the last Friday in August, and runs for 9 days. It is held at the Royal Adelaide Showgrounds, located in Wayville and is attended by thousands. It features food, rides, a Ferris wheel, competitions and animal races.

The Royal Show is primarily an opportunity for the State’s farmers to show examples of their livestock. There is Horticulture on display with the freshest fruit and vegetables. It also includes rides, competitions, demonstrations and food of all tastes (i.e. gourmet food as well as waffles, hot dogs, hot chips, sausage on a stick, cinnamon donuts, sausages, sausage rolls, pies, pasties etc.) and styles.

It’s a big event here.

I’ll just let the photos do the talking…

So much to see!

Was there for about 10 hours! Walking and standing most of the time. Poor feet… Suffered a lot. So painful.

It’s a very interesting event, highly recommended to go. Even though people kept saying that every year it’s the same, still they go every year because Adelaide is just like Kuching hahaha… Not much big events going on, once there is, everyone will be flocking there.

Didn’t go on any ride though, quite expensive.

Had our lunch, Dagwood Dogs aka corn dog. There’s foot long one but I went for the 6-inch one which cost $5. So filling! Really cannot underestimate it. I thought I won’t be full eating it. Taste? It was okay. What do you expect? Basically, it’s just a sausage in a stick fried in batter.

Left: My friend bought this fries, don’t remember the name. I think it’s called Potato “something”. Very expensive! $9!! It tasted good but very oily.

Right: *Blek* It’s me. The weather was so good that day. The sun was so strong. Not cold at all but it turned quite cold at night.

Happy Mid-Autumn Festival 2011

Posted on September 12, 2011 By sweet surrender 2 Comments on Happy Mid-Autumn Festival 2011

Hope you all have fun today spending time with your loved one enjoying the round moon, eating mooncake, and playing lanterns. Supposed to have all sort of celebrations this month with the special someone but due to unforeseen circumstances, all the plans goes down the drain which also include my birthday celebration. That sucks! Oh well…

Today is exam day! Tomorrow also. Might head to the Torrens River after exam to see the celebration there.

Had my Mid-Autumn Festival celebration last Saturday at my boss’ house with the other colleagues. We went for Chinese dinner somewhere outside the city, quite far, then went to the boss’ house for desserts. LOTS of food! I was eating non-stop that day since lunch as after my lunch I had an exam study group and we had lots of snacks. Then dinner, ate again, then after dinner, ate again! SO FULL! It’s almost 1am when I reached home.

Today I found out that I made a boo boo ;p I’ve been studying the wrong programme all these while hehehe… Apparently I’m enrolled as management student but I’ve been taking administrative management subjects since my first day here hehehe… Luckily it’s under the same faculty so it won’t affect anything. Just a click of button to change my specialisation. What to do… There’s no way I can revert to study management as I’m half way tru’ the programme. It’s still under management just that I have specialisation now instead of the general management. Besides, they share the same core subjects.

Luckily I found out now or else I might have problem graduating next year. Good thing I attempted to apply for a schorlarship to study in Korea for 3 weeks next year else I won’t know I’ve been studying the wrong thing all these while ;p Got it sorted out and my application can be put forward for consideration. Hopefully can get it as it will determine whether I’ll be continuing my stay here to continue to my Master degree else I guess I’m likely to be going home for good after completing my graduate diploma if I don’t/can’t find any strong reason for me to stay.

Once exam is done, will plan for a holiday for the one week break. Luckily there’s a break for this study period. Seriously need this break as there’s so many things happened since the first study period from various aspects. Very tiring, mentally, physically, and emotionally.

That’s all for now! Take care! Enjoy the moon!
