Hog & Wild can be found in VivaCity’s Everrise or Cold Storage at Green Heights. If you like to have good and affordable pork dishes, you can try this place out. Portion is huge and price is very reasonable. I’ve been getting my fix for pork quite often here hehehe…


The House Salad is surprisingly huge! Looks like a bouquet. So cute! It’s filling, only RM9.90. You can just have this and you’ll be full! Sliced ham, tomatoes, cucumber, mix green salad leaves tossed with Vincotto Vinegar and olive oil.


Left: Gourmet BBQ Ribs (RM29.90) served with jacket potato and boiled vegetables. Looks small but it’s not! Better to share for average and small eaters.

Right: Artisan Gourmet Sausage Platter (RM48.90), consists of 4 types of Artisan Fresh Sausages served with roasted potato, sauerkraut, and pomodoro sauce. Really have to share this. 2 average eaters for this is still a bit too much. 3 pax sharing this dish with another salad dish would be just nice. Yummy sausages! Burp… Love the one with black pepper, don’t like the one with so much garlic.


Also bought pork crackles hehehe… Oh yum yum yum! So addictive. This brand is from South Australia but I’ve never tried it back then. Only have the chance now. Also, I only discovered pork crackles when I was in the UK ;p

A nice place to go for pork and wine pairing. Great food, great price. I’ve been going there at least once a month. So far only been to the one at VivaCity, no chance to visit the one at Cold Storage yet.

Tease by Jase’s Tea Room (AT110 Block A, Icom Square, Jalan Pending, 93450 Kuching) is one of the food outlets located at iCom Square. They used to locate at Premier 101. This new outlet’s interior design is totally different from the previous outlet. So much more spacious and bright.

They specialized in in loose leaf teas, coffee and light meals. You can find burgers, pizzas, pies, sandwiches, and cakes available all day. Opening hour between 11am-11pm.

Left: Salted Eggyolk Sauce with Fried Chicken Thigh Burger + Potato Wedges (RM16). Don’t underestimate this, looks small but packed with goodies! Not easy to finish on your own, best to share if you’re not a big eater. Very sinfully yummy.

Right: One of the cakes available, Teh C Peng Mousse Cake. It’s an acquired taste. The sweetness is pretty mild.

Overall, the environment is decent, great place to hang out and food tasted great. Drinks are priced reasonably. I’ve been coming here on and off with friends because the place is spacious enough and even if there’s a lot of people, it’s still comfortable.

I’ve been using Naruko’s facial cleansing products for 2 years. The first was Narcissus DNA Repairing Foaming Wash which got me hooked as it didn’t cause any problem to my skin. However, I couldn’t get this anymore at any of the Watsons in Malaysia. So I tried the other range.

Naruko Taiwan Magnolia Brightening and Firming Cream Wash EX

It didn’t produce a lot of foam. You must use makeup remover to remove your makeup or sunscreen before using this cream wash otherwise the residue of makeup or sunscreen will still be there. However, it doesn’t cause my skin to turn red, itch, or dry after cleansing. The face felt soft to touch after that.

Does it work as it claimed? Brightening and firming? To be frank, I didn’t notice any difference. Maybe you’ll see the result if you also use the other product from the range.

I tried the sheet mask, it was awesome! It did brighten and firm. Effect could be seen immediately. My skin absorb everything from the mask without feeling sticky on the skin. Will talk more about this in other post.

After that, I decided to try the other range, Naruko Raw Job’s Tear Supercritical C02 Pore Minimizing & Brightening Foaming Wash. My friend in Adelaide is a fan of this range. She has the whole range of product. That’s what prompted me to try.


The red granules infused with Vitamin E for exfoliation and anti-aging. Sounds great right? It foamed well but I felt that my skin was a bit tight after that. I also developed a bit of redness after using it but not as bad compare to other brands. Also, I didn’t see any effect at all. Hence, it just served as facial wash for me. Maybe, if you combine with its other products in the range will give better result.

I tried the sheet mask before too. It’s just another facial mask for me. I guess this range isn’t meant for me.

Overall, Naruko products aren’t bad. Affordable as well. In fact, I had ordered its Narcissus DNA Repairing Foaming Wash and facial masks (Narcissus and Taiwan Magnolia) from its official website because I do love the Narcissus foaming wash and the Taiwan Magnolia mask sheet. I figured the Narcissus mask isn’t bad also. We’ll see… Will review them in future post.

Mittsu-Hoiru Japanese Restaurant

Another Japanese restaurant in VivaCity, Mittsu-Hoiru.

Normally you’ll see conveyor belt with plates of sushi. Here, Sushi Boat System is used to move the sushi around. It’s a bit challenging to pick up the sushi from the boat. I guess it’s because of the tray they used.


I ordered Cha Shoba(RM11.50), green tea chill soba noodle and took a sushi from the boat. I have no idea what fish meat was that hehe… The soba noodle wasn’t filling, too little for me, so I just took one sushi from the boat that fancied me and didn’t take note of the price 😛 Overall, all the food I had wasn’t bad. Just one problem, the rice of the sushi crumbled… Duh…

These were ordered by my dining companions:

Left: Kaisen Nitsuke Don (RM14.50), mixed seafood rice.
Right: Salmon Don (RM16.50), grilled salmon fish rice.
The rice dish came with a bowl of miso soup.

There’s mixed review about this place by others. For me, it looked and tasted authentic. Prices are reasonable. However, it didn’t give me the urge of wanting to go back. I’ll just rate it as above average.

Artistry Pure White UV Protect SPF 50+++ is one of the products from Amway. I received this as a gift, so I’ve got no idea how much it costs. Any idea?

To use, shake well and squeeze the needed amount and smooth it on your face after your moisturizer.

Non greasy and it’s great to use on its own or under makeup. It doesn’t leave a sticky film on my face instead it’s smooth to touch. My face stayed matte for more than 8 hours no matter in air-con room or out there under the sun with or without makeup. It didn’t break me out as well.

In conclusion, it’s a very good product to use. Two thumbs up! So far, this is the best sun protector for face that I’ve used.
