Last Friday, had a mini gatheting with those who were with me in Busan for cultural exchange. Since the others were looking forward to have dinner, one of us suggested to go to Mekong Thai Restaurant at Hindley Street. I didn’t want to have any dinner because I just had my lunch at 3pm. So I just accompanied them. It’s lucky that I made that decision, or else I won’t be able to have dinner with another friend of mine.
Left: Sayur Kacang (AUD14.50), lightly steamed vegetables and tofu generously topped with our peanut satay sauce. It’s expensive and didn’t taste good, those vegetables only cost less than a dollar or so -.-” None of us like it. Even the rice and noodle were cheaper than this dish.
Right: Phad Thai (AUD11.90), Thai fried rice noodle with chicken, shrimp, eggs, tofu bean sprouts with or without fresh chilli. It’s spicy even for the Koreans. They ordered medium spicy. They said it tasted good.
Left: Seafood Nasi Goreng (AUD11.90), seafood, fried with rice, chilli, garlic, ginger, fresh herbs and sprouts. Absolutely different. It’s spicy according to someone who isn’t very good in eating spicy food but I’m not sure how spicy. It was good also.
Right: Those who were with me, I’m behind the camera *lol* Three Korean guys (only one is our program buddy, the other two were his friends) with one Vietnames girl, one Chinese girl, and one Malaysian girl. I’m the oldest of them all ;p
Overall, the price is a bit on the higher end. Food portion is rather small with the price. However, so many people said that it’s good. *SHRUG* I didn’t eat so I don’t know. Will I give this placea second chance? Well… Maybe provided I’m not the one paying.
Irene, if free drop by my place, have something for you.
Lee.
