Kuching Bloggers’ Meet 2007

This is an open event. All Kuching’s bloggers are invited! It’s not a private meet! As long that you have a blog and you are in Kuching during the said date, do come to join us. 🙂

I’m not sure I’ll be going or not. Usually I don’t join bloggers’ meet at night because it’s not that convenient for me to go out at night unless someone is willing to pick me up and can send me home by 10pm.

Important note to note is: “PAY FOR YOUR OWN FOOD & DRINKS”. I realised that Oregano is not like bing! or tao where you order and pay on the spot. I’m kinda worry that there are some irresponsible people taking advantages of this. Frankie, I think you have to let Oregano know before hand that for this bloggers’ meet, they should take payment once the food and/or drinks are served instead of settling the bill at the end of the meet. Just in case, some might forget to pay and leave, there are many cases like this.

Personally, I prefer private meet than open meet as it’s easier to control and it’s a much better way to know each other. When there are too many people, it’s going to be a bit hard. Anyway, hopefully it goes well. I’ll confirm later as I might have some CNY dinners to attend by then. Most importantly, when I manage to find someone who is willing to pick me up and leave early with me.

Myhouse Steamboat & BBQ Seafood

Had my new year’s eve’s dinner with my friends at Myhouse. This steamboat establishment is situated along Peace Road. The open and garden concept make it a very cosy place to hang out for all-you-can-eat buffet steamboat dinner with your friends and family. If you don’t like the usual oily type using hotplates, then this is the place for you.

Right: Steamboat. They have 2 bases for you to choose. One is spicy and one is non-spicy. If you have more than 6 people, you can have both; else you can only choose one but you can request for change after you had enough of anyone of them.

Left: They offer chicken satays now!!! They are big but too bad they were tasteless because there were too many orders for it till they didn’t have time to marinate the satays properly.
Right: Chicken and mutton kebabs.

Left: Chicken wings are the hit among the diners. Once they are out, they are gone! You have to act fast to secure your share.
Right: Some ready-cooked food such as curries, fried noodles, rice, mixed vegetables etc.

All these for RM18 per adult. Drinks are calculated separately. Canned drinks are RM2.50 each. They also have a variety of fruit juices, teas, in-house drinks etc.

Make sure you book before you go if you plan to go there on days like new year’s eve, Christmas’ eve…

Quick update here… Got my camera back! YAY!!! Finally it’s back!!! I haven’t get any candid shoots from anyone. Only manage to have the group photo. *SIGH* That’s what I hate the most when I don’t have a camera. 🙁 I have to rely on people to send them to me. By the way, might be MIA for a while after this post but will still reply to comments as I need to get some projects done before Christmas and 2007. Nothing much will be happening as things that were planned before got cancelled and also rescheduled.

Bloggers’ Meet @ bing! (1)

I’m being asked not to blog so fast about the meet but hahahah… I’m going to now. Since I don’t have any photos except our drinks and food photos, I will just show you what we had. I don’t know what they’re called, just enjoy the photosss… I’m waiting for them to send candid shoots and also group photos to me.

Uncle Ho smuggled “lemang”(glutinous rice cooked in bamboo) in. It’s long 😛 and spiced up our imagination that caused us to talk inappropriately 😛

Since no photos of the bloggers, here’s mine and Ducky’s. When you see Ducky you will know who was there. Hehehe… Yours sincerely camwhored in the washroom of bing! Couldn’t resist it with the full length mirror in there 😛

Bloggers’ Meet @ Sue’s

The long awaited meet is finally here today. Miracle8 was the first to arrived and I’m the second one. We both tried to look for the unit where Sue’s living and caused a bit of “stir” among her neighbours coz I got the wrong house! Hehehe… I called her mobile phone but it’s forwarded to voicemail, worst… I left Sue’s home phone number at home. At the end, we asked the guard for help *LOL* He was kinda blur with who we wanted to meet. I’m kinda stupid too. I should just tell the guard that we were looking for someone that just got back from the US! Yet I kept telling him that her house was first unit and she’s staying upstair. Hehehe… I forgotten that it’s should be consider the second unit as it’s the second door not the first door. Haven’t been there for quite a while as I used to go there for a swim coz my uncle has a unit there.

After both of us got into the house, Robin called to ask for directions. I didn’t know he’s in the apartment area already. I thought Robin and his gang were lost somewhere in the housing estate outside of the apartment. *LOL* After Robin and his gang arrived, Ann and Jee arrived. The last to arrive were Allen and Frankie 😛

We were served with chocolates! Yummy… I had never had so much chocolate in 2 hours+ in my life. Sugar high now 😛 As we are bloggers, we kept snapping here and there *LOL* How can bloggers live without cameras? You tell me? I know I’ll be suffering withdrawal symptoms if I don’t have my camera with me 😛 We shoot at every available oppotunity hehehe…

We had a great time hearing Sue’s talking about her experiences staying in the US. She did the talking most of the time hehehe… There were so many things for her to share but we had to end the meet around 7pm becuase she had another appointment and I was supposed to get home before 7pm. Had a great time there, meeting bloggers that I had never met before. I prefer something small and intimate meeting like this rather than having a huge party. Ah well… I just don’t like crowds. Photo session is a must for bloggers 😛 We took group photos and went home. Here… You can’t see Sue’s face 😛
