Sunsilk Damage Repair Lotion With Honey Mud

Posted on June 7, 2007June 7, 2007 By sweet surrender 12 Comments on Sunsilk Damage Repair Lotion With Honey Mud

Sigh.. Lack of food porn lately… This blog is getting boring…

Not a paid post! Hahaha… If only it’s a paid post, in my dream…

I was looking for something for my hair. I hate gel, I hate mousse, I hate wax, I hate those styling products that weigh down my hair. I hate styling my hair hahaha… I usually just let it loose. Sometimes I didn’t even comb my hair at all, just simply ran my fingers to detangle them before I go out. This is the good thing of having natural curls 😛 Now the curls are permed, then my hair was dyed before, it makes the end looks very dry. After thinking and thinking, I decided to give Sunsilk Damage Repair Lotion with honey mud a go.

I applied it everytime after my hair wash and it does show me wonders! The ends don’t look dry anymore. The hair is easier to manage and less flyaways. It doesn’t weigh down my hair also. You don’t need to use a lot. I divided my hair into two parts, left and right, using that portion(in the photo) for each side by concentrating at the end of the hair. Then apply the last touch with a bit of the lotion to the top part of my hair. After that, I just air dry my hair. I don’t use hair dryer, Hate it! Very noisy. It’s not good for the hair too.

Not bad and it didn’t cost me much, only RM6+. Bought it at Guardian during the sales 😛 on the same day I bought my new phone.

My New Phone – Sony Ericsson K800i

Posted on May 28, 2007May 29, 2007 By sweet surrender 41 Comments on My New Phone – Sony Ericsson K800i

YAY! Finally got my new mobile phone after spending about 3-4 years with my Motorola C330(my dad bought it for me) and I’m proud to say that I didn’t ask my parents for any money for it and no credit card used. I bought it with my own money, cash and carry!!! Bought it last Friday.

I know.. I know… Sony Ericsson K800i is old already, it’s not new model. I don’t care. There is no point to buy K810i at all. The difference is just the design. The functionalities are all the same. By the way, this is an AP set, not original. I’m not willing to invest few more hundreds to get original though original is good, it’s out of my budget.

I’ll do a little review in this post about the phone. I’m not a very techie person(not anymore but used to hahaha…) so I’m not going to use too much jargons.

Left:
The view of the phone. See the “vodafone” label there, also the buttons that are kinda different from the original one? The label is supposed to be “K800i” and the buttons on the two sides shouldn’t be printed with red and green receiver icon. It’s AP set, that’s why it’s different but the functions of the buttons are totally the same as the original one. The left button(green receiver icon) is to access the Internet and the right one(red receiver icon) is to access “My shortcuts”. You answer your call with the top left button.

Actually, I can add on some money to get the one without “vodafone” label and it’s brown in colour, also AP set. As stingy as I could be, I’m unwilling to fork out that extra Ringgits 😛 That’s why I ended up with this black one with “vodafone” label.

Right:
The down side of this phone is it can’t stay flat on the surface because of the camera cover. K810i has the camera cover embeded inside and it can stay flat on the surface, this is the only difference according to all my mobile phone “specialists”(my brother and my friends) :P, since I’m jinxed, I don’t find my own phone hahaha… I gave my “specialists” the requirements and these “specialists” did their research and handed me the final report and I made the final decision *LOL*. That’s why I don’t see the point of buying this new model and opt for the older model, K800i. I haven’t remove the protector film of the camera cover, if it’s removed, sooner or later the camera cover will be scratched and it’s no longer nice anymore. That’s the down side. Sigh… However, can save some money, I shouldn’t be complaining much 😛

The camera cover that I mentioned.

Left: This phone uses M2. I was given a free 64MB M2. The phone itself has internal memory of 64MB.
Right(top): The on/off button.
Left(bottom): This is where you plug your cable either for charging or file transfer. While you transfer files into your computer, it will charge your phone at the same time using the power supply from your computer. When you plug it in, the phone will auto turn off and auto turn on to prepare for file transfer. Then when you remove from your computer, it will auto turn off and turn on after that.

Here’s the photo taken with K800i and Canon Ixus i zoom without flash. The colour isn’t that nice with the phone but it has auto-focus, this is the part which I like. See the photo below, it’s taken with K800i without flash and with not so steady hand. If it’s using my camera, you won’t be able to see anything but blur and shaky image.

Hmm… That’s all I can say. So far, I haven’t encounter any problem. Forget to mention that this is a 3G phone too.

Bling Bling With Advertlets

Posted on April 4, 2007May 22, 2007 By sweet surrender 1 Comment on Bling Bling With Advertlets

All right people! Get ready for another money making opportunity! Goshh… I’m so money face! Who cares? Who doesn’t want money? I saw Advertlets’ poll in many bloggers’ site but I didn’t bother much about it until my friend asked me to try out the poll by Advertlets. Since I was still busy, I didn’t bother much about it after taking part in the poll.

Finally I have a bit of time to sign up and go tru’ it. At the beginning, it’s just simply register and copy paste the codes into your blog. When the time comes, they will generate adverts that are relevant to your blog. This will make sure your readers will not be bombard with unrelated advertisements. For me the concept is the same as the one I registered earlier on from another company. They both claim that we can make money from it. That’s why I register. I don’t mind who will give me more money as long that they can generate money for me. Hahaha…

Frankly, to us, we don’t really mind as long that they can generate money. I found out that, if a blogger is register with Advertlets, he or she will sure to sign up with the other one. It really doesn’t matter at all. Bloggers don’t really mind but advertisers do. They are the one that will make decision of where to advertise. The one with more advertisers will win of course. Still… As long that there’s money given to us, we don’t mind.

Just recently I received a mail saying that they will be having feature where bloggers will be paid for blogging about products and services. Advertlets is started by Malaysians to Malaysians. Therefore things that we are going to write about will be much more applicable to us. Also, no language restriction applied. This is a good chance for many bloggers that blog in other languages as my friend has been seeing GREEN that I’m making money in the US based one. *blek*

Look at the ad banners at my sidebar. You can see two of them right? I’m not practicing favouritism, I have no idea who to place first so I resorted to placing them based on alphabetical order. 😛

So… Why wait? Sign up now and be a part of us!

This post is brought to you by Advertlets.

Borneo Highlands – Lunch & Goodbye

Lunch time! We checked out before we went for lunch at Annah Rais Cafe.
Left: Satay, vegetarian version of course. The satay tasted good. Also salads.
Right: Corn and egg soup. Very thick, love it!

Rice, beehoon, mixed veggies, and pineapple beef(not real meat, don’t dream!)

Mixed veggies again… And “you cha kueh” cooked with sweet sauce(this should be the morning leftover and they turned it into another type of dish), and fruits.

left: Red rice porridge, at first we thought it’s red bean porridge. 😛 So thick! It’s cooked with sugar, coconut milk and sago.
Right: Coffee or tea?

While we were dining, the fog(it’s called fog right?) kept coming on and off. One moment things became invisible, another moment it’s visibile again. As if you’re in the fairy land or something. The weather was very cooling that day compare to the day before. We were expecting it to turn hotter around 1pm but still the same. See the photos below… WOW!

Must take photo as memory before going down. See the view behind us? Couldn’t even see the field at the back. The visibility was so low.

That’s the end of my Borneo Highlands trip report. My conclusion, it’s a nice place to escape. The resort is small and this makes the staffs able to give you more personal attention, make you feel comfortable, and they treat you just like their friends instead of a customer. They are very helpful too. Food tastes good. Compare with those vegetarian food out there, out there sucks. The environment is great except hahaha… Maybe the washing closet and no attached shower but I don’t really mind. Price wise, on the normal days without promotion are a wee bit too high for many people. Other than that, I’m quite happy with it.

Oh, we didn’t have enough time to get a massage/facial. They start from RM80 and above and the shortest duration is 30 minutes depending on which massage/facial you are getting. It will be charged into your room.

By the way, the videos are up in You Tube. I will post them here when I’m free. I think you are overloaded with the trip report already hahahah…

I still have a lot of photos unrelease ;P I will blog again about it when I have nothing to blog. It’s too pretty that’s why must share them with you. Not to forget our camwhore photos too;p

Mind you, this trip is fully beared by ourselves, Borneo Highlands isn’t paying us anything for this review. As for the offer, I had finalised with them. Too bad it’s only applicable for a group of 10 people or more and I must go too else you won’t be able to get that offer. I don’t think I can go again this year since I have other things lining up. I have to let the offer go and sorry to all of you that looking forward to the offer. Too bad… Don’t worry, there will be another offer in August. I will update you on it by then.

Maybelline Unstoppable Mascara

Posted on January 10, 2007February 27, 2008 By sweet surrender 7 Comments on Maybelline Unstoppable Mascara

Let me get this straight! This is not an advert! I’m not paid to blog for this.

I started to wear Maybelline Unstoppable Mascare since last year end. I had taken photos of it when I reached home after bought them from Watsons but strangely I couldn’t find them anywhere hmm… so I had to look for photos from the Internet.

Maybelline claimed that this mascara can lengthen your eyelashes as much as 50%, and it’s smudge-proof. Many girls sure wish to have lengthy eyelashes, they go all way to get it such as getting eyelashes extension, fake lashes or using mascara to achieve the effect. I’m not that crazy about the length of eyelashes however I cannot deny that long eyelashes with nice curve are pretty. The most important thing for me is smudge-proof.

Carol applied this mascara for me last year for my photo shoots at Alvin’s. Black color was used. Amazingly… It didn’t smudge at all after the mid-day shoot in the studio and after one whole afternoon under the hot sun. I was sweating profusely and the makeup melted but I didn’t get panda eyes at the end of the day even though had it on since the morning! Cool! From then on, I told myself to get this mascara when my old one finished or when it’s time to chuck away.

I don’t always apply mascara unless I need to attend functions or meeting clients(only when I have enough time to get ready before meeting them) else they are bare. I don’t use eyelash curler, usually I only apply 1 coat of mascara, sometimes 2, depends on my mood.

I applied 1 coat in this photo. So… Does Unstoppable lengthen my eyelashes? From the photos… It seems no difference. What do you think?

How about this? Seems lengthened a bit but not 50%. However, I was surprised by the curling effect. I didn’t expect it to curl my eyelashes but it did! Without eyelash curler summore!! Oh… It’s dark brown mascara instead of black. I’ve been using it for quite sometimes now and I dare to say that IT IS REALLY SMUDGE PROOF!!!
