Guilin Sanjin Compound Watermelon Frost

Posted on January 21, 2008February 5, 2022 By sweet surrender 21 Comments on Guilin Sanjin Compound Watermelon Frost

I still cough. So many people suffering from cough, flu or down with fever nowadays. I guess it’s that time of the year again. That’s why I decided to come out with this post.

Guilin Sanjin Compound Watermelon Frost is something you can consider when you are having cough or ulcers or toothache. WAIT! This is not paid! This is what my family always use when we have mouth ulcer or sore throat. It’s quite effective. My late grandmother introduced this to us long long time ago. We used to buy it from those China paddlers at Kenyalang but now you can get them at pharmacies, Chinese medicine shops or bigger grocery shops. There was one period of time where imitation ones were everywhere, so becareful when you want to buy it. If you are not sure, better go to the reputable Chinese medicine shop and you won’t be cheated.

Before I go further, I have to emphasize that this is a traditional medicine, not everyone can take. It works wonderfully for us but I can’t guarantee that it will work for you.

Once I accidentally sprayed half the bottle into my throat because the cap went loose and I was almost choked by the powder! Then guess what!??! My sore throat cured overnight! Hahaha… However, don’t ever do this, it’s very dangerous. Everytime when I feel like I’m going to have a cough, I’ll just spray it into my throat and let it stayed there and dissolved by itself, there won’t be cough coming. If already having cough, then at least it won’t be that bad. It’s great for ulcers too! Just spray it to the area. The ulcer would cure really fast, it won’t sting too.

Be it for cough or ulcers, It’s best not to drink water immediately after that, let it dissolves on its own.

Saying that, why mine is that bad this time around? This is because we ran out of it, so I didn’t have any to use. That’s why I coughed so badly but still not so bad as some people that cough till they couldn’t sleep. I have it now, so whenever I feel want to cough, I’ll just spray it into my throat. I won’t cough anymore, maybe a bit but not that bad. The earlier you have it, the better it is.

Don’t ever ever eat sweets or the so called Strepsils! I coughed so badly last night because of Strepsils! ARG! After the sweet is gone, you will cough like crazy -.-”

Guilin Sanjin Compound Watermelon Frost tasted bitter with a bit of cooling sensation but I’m used to it, so it’s nothing to me. For those that don’t like bitter stuff, I don’t think I can help you hahaha…

It can also be used for external wounds such as minor burns and scalds. Why don’t you try it out. It’s less than RM4, the most expensive maybe RM5 depends on where you buy.

By the way, here’s some details that you might want to know to make sure that you are not cheated with imitation ones:

Day 3(11.01.08) – Holiday Inn Glenmarie

Posted on January 17, 2008January 27, 2010 By sweet surrender 8 Comments on Day 3(11.01.08) – Holiday Inn Glenmarie

I’m sick now… down with fever… @_@

on 11th morning, we quickly got ready to catch the earliest bus that we could get but only got to catch the 10.20am one. We wanted to catch earlier ones but we’re late as we planned to go to Sunway Lagoon right after checking in Holiday Inn Glenmarie. When we reached Titiwangsa monorail, we went straight to KL Sentral to change to KTM Komuter to go to Shah Alam. Who knows… We were supposed to alight at Batu Tiga station but we alighted at Shah Alam station. According to the taxi driver, we should go to Batu Tiga which is nearer and not Shah Alam. If we reached Baru Tiga, we will only pay RM10 for the taxi to Holiday Inn Glenmarie instead we had to pay RM20 from Shah Alam Station.

So… There we were… Holiday Inn Glenmarie at Shah Alam, nearer to Subang(according to the hotel receptionist). Our friends got lost when they sent us back from Klang and had to resort to call the hotel for direction, the hotel was so seclude. Thanks guys for taking all the trouble to send us back! Not easy to find the place. If you would like to know, you will see DRB-Hicom and BMW showroom when you are on the way to the hotel. It’s the same road leading to Glenmarie Golf & Country Club.

The lobby reminded me of the ex-Damai Lagoon, except you don’t see the sea but swimming pool *LOL*. It’s so resort like, when you are there, you are away from the hustle and bustle of the city, you can feel that you are in a different environment.

This hotel is not what most will want to stay because it’s so far from KL and transportation is a bit of problem. Besides that, it’s so expensive! We stayed at the Deluxe room for 3 days 2 nights inclusive of breakfast. This room costs RM550+, if include tax it will be RM600+ per night! I’ve never stay in such expensive hotel before hehehe… Good thing this is free, I won it. πŸ˜› That explains why we stayed there hahaha…

They provide free shuttle to various shopping areas such as Bukit Bintang(only Sunday, Saturday & public holiday), Sunway Pyramid, One Utama, The Curve, Subang Parade, Putra LRT Kelana Jaya. It’s on first come first serve basis. They didn’t go to MidValley but depends on the situation and also the driver. If you are lucky, you might get to go there but if there are other passsengers, then you can only go to the designated destination.

It’s much more suitable for businessmen and golfers.

Left: Leading to our room.
Right: The shower area and toilet.

Left: The counter. Hair-dryer is mounted on the wall.
Right: WAH! Red Earth products! First time I see πŸ˜› So sakai hahaha…

Left: The cupboard.
Right: The beds. It’s so comfy… The pillows are so comfy and fluffy! I got really good night sleep at this hotel. By far, this is the best hotel room I’ve ever stayed, I mean the bedding.

Left: Broadband was available but it’s RM57 per day! -.- Expensive!!! I better go to shopping mall to online. That explains why I visited Starbucks almost everyday *LOL*
Right: We were given complimentary fruits. So thoughtful of them. We need to eat more fruits, replenish our vitamin C. It’s easy to get sick after traveling. I’m sick now… Flu πŸ™ Should bring along a small bottle of vitamin C.

Here are all the photos of what we got for our 2 days’ breakfast. These are just some that I had eaten, there are more that I didn’t take, I forgot πŸ˜› Hehehe…

They sent us to Sunway Pyramid after we checked in. Thought of going to Sunway Lagoon but not enough time already. Then the next day they sent us to Bukit Bintang, we took the LRT to Mid Valley, they couldn’t drop us there because there was other passengers that wanted to go to Bukit Bintang. The last day, they sent us right in front of Cititel Express at Chow Kit, this is because only there were only us and it’s a Sunday which they do go to Bukit Bintang for free. They didn’t use their van instead use a Proton Waja to send us there.

That’s all about Holiday Inn Glenmarie. I won’t be staying there for the second time hahaha… Not that it’s not good, it’s good, superb! Just that the location and price tag are a bit too much for my standard hahaha…

Day 1(09.01.08) – Genting Highlands, First World Hotel

Posted on January 15, 2008January 17, 2008 By sweet surrender 9 Comments on Day 1(09.01.08) – Genting Highlands, First World Hotel

Went to airport at 12pm and at 1.55pm, we took off on time and reached KL earlier than sheduled. It rained heavily that day at KL.

Took Skybus(RM9 per person per way) to KL Sentral. Thought of catching the bus to Genting but the ticket counter was closed!!! OH DEAR! DIE! Use taxi will cost a bomb! There were 3 guys talking among themselves near the counter, then one guy approached us and told us that there is no more ticket to buy already. OMG! Then we found out that the guy that approached us was a local that assisting the other two from Medan, Indonesia. They wanted to go to Genting also and still figure out what is the best way to go since using taxi is expensive. So the local suggested that there were four of us, we share one taxi. He got a taxi for us and the fare was RM80 for the 4 of us.

What to do? We agreed. It’s faster and cheaper also than using the bus. We only need to pay RM20 each and we reached there earlier. If we used the bus, we might reach Genting when it’s dark.
The taxi driver sent us to the Skyway(cable car) because he didn’t want to drive up and it will also be very expensive. The ride is RM5 per person for one way for the Skyway(cable car). It’s really scary!!! Raining summore! If no rain then it’s would be great but it rained. Our gondola happened to drip water -.-‘

Left: Check-in counters at First World Hotel.
Right: The basin and you can see the toilet.

Left: Bathroom.
Middle: Toilet.
The doors are sliding doors with no locks. The room is small but I don’t care! It’s free what! The sheets were clean but the pillows were lousy… The extra pillow on top of the shelf in the cupboard given was quite dirty -.-” You don’t need air-con there hahaha.. Only a ceiling fan which I would rather not on it because it dried my nose.

Left: Hehehe… Nice ride. I didn’t play this though.
Right: Familiar landmark. What it’s called already? The Big Ben?

Left: After that, we went to get dinner. You can get dinner in the indoor theme park. There are eateries everywhere! From eastern to western food, even fast food such as KFC, McD, Burger King, Marrybrown etc.
Right: Starworld, the smaller casino. Went in there for free drinks πŸ˜› Hahaha… I didn’t gamble, just see, see, look, look hahaha… AIKS… The guards didn’t stop me on the way in, this means I looked more than I’m 21 years old, no more underage, so sad… Old already πŸ™ Hahaha…

Colourful lights everywhere, even fake fireworks hahaha…

Left: Arcade games.
Right: Try your luck and see what toy you got.

Left: Test your skill and see what you can win.
Right: Be A Star, go sing your heart out!

Left: The Olive, so posh -.-‘ Food isn’t cheap in there too.
Right: The main casino, you’ll be greeted by the clown statues at the entrance. The guard didn’t stop me… ARG… OLD! ;p

Left: The place where you’ll walk through when you go into the casino area. I applied for Worldcard but didn’t upgrade it because I didn’t play any of the casino game. Only applied it for fun, don’t know what’s for *lol*
Right: Snowworld, not worth it. Didn’t go in unless they allow camera.

Left: Overall view of the indoor theme park at night.
Right: Archery.

Left: Wall climbing.
Right: You want to play pool or bowling?

Left: Van Helsing and Ripley’s Believe It Or Not poster.
Right: One of the Ripley’s Believe It Or Not items on display.

Left: The lobby area. You can also see orang utans and HUGE SNAKES on the trees!
Right: HUGE VEGGIES AND FRUITS! Hahaha… Just decors of a juice stall.

Let’s see what’s for dinner?

We went to have Mmm Yum Yum Claypot Bak Kut Teh, RM36.80 for two. One person is RM20+, not worth it if you order for one person. The bak kut teh is just like chicken soup -.- If you feel generous, you can try their abalone bak kut teh.

After dinner and venturing around, went up to get my laptop and online at Starbucks. Had to work… What to do? Good thing we have Starbucks vouchers so we can afford to spend there every night *LOL*

Ordered Green Tea Latter(RM15.50) and Hazelnut Hot Chocolate(RM14.50). Green Tea Latte is nice though it tasted a bit odd at first. Hazelnut Hot Chocolate, I’m kinda regret ordering this, I don’t really like it, should just order the Signature Hot Chocolate. Oh well… Since with vouchers, might as well use this chance to order things that I’ve never ordered before.

Day 2 will come soon…

I’m Going Hazel…

Posted on January 11, 2008January 11, 2008 By sweet surrender 10 Comments on I’m Going Hazel…

Sunway Lagoon here I come! At Sunway Pyramid now… No time for Sunway Lagoon.

Meet me at AMBP Gathering: Coffee Therapy for Bloggers and win movie tickets!

On 1st Janaury 2008, I replaced my blue contact lense. Bye bye blue. I don’t like you hahaha…

Now… I’m going hazel. Putting it in was a breeze! The texture felt different also, it felt softer and thinner than the blue one hmmm… No more blur vision also. It didn’t dry up as fast also. Hmm… Why is there this kind of differences?

Before, blue… Now, hazel. The actual colour is actually much lighter than what you see here.

I haven’t have a proper photo of myself yet, so show you my eyes first. When I got back, I might go to the salon to trim my hair or change another hairstyle, by then I’ll try out the new eyeshadows also and take nice photos for you to see πŸ˜›

Imperial Hotel, Miri – Room & Facilities

Posted on October 12, 2007October 12, 2007 By sweet surrender 4 Comments on Imperial Hotel, Miri – Room & Facilities

It’s been a while not blog hopping. So busy… So many things need to do πŸ™

I’ll update my day 3 soon, still can’t find time to edit and resize the photos. I’ll blog about the hotel I’m staying first.

I stayed in Imperial Hotel in Miri. It’s recommended by Jimmy’s friend and also the rate is quite OK for a 4-star hotel. This is the only hotel that has promotional rate that I could find. If it’s not promotional rate it would be much more expensive. The room I’m staying is RM150++ per night inclusive of breakfast. There’re 5% GST and 10% service tax. For 3 days and 2 nights, I paid RM345.

Left: King size bed!
Right: The desk and TV. I just got to know that Miri has no NTV7.

Left: Bath tub.
Right: You see me? πŸ˜›

Left: Toilet bowl hahaha…
Right: This is the first time I see iron and ironing board in the room. There’s a safe of course and the hairdryer is not in the bathroom. Before this, all the hotels I stayed have hairdryers fixed in the bathroom. This is the first time I didn’t find any bathrob in a hotel room.

Left: Complimentary drinks.
Right: Some stationeries.

Views from my room! I stayed at the 7th floor, at the end of the wing. This is where I decide where to go in Miri hehehe…

Left: Leading to my room.
Right: Leading to the gym, swimming pool, coffeehouse, sauna, changing room, and aerobic room. I didn’t know I need to register to use the swimming pool. I was wondering where did those people get the towels hahaha… Only noticed it after I’m done with my swim session. This is where to get it, the room on the left.

Left: The lockers.
Right: The swimming pool. The wind was always very strong, so cold. Hahaha…

The views from the swimming pool on the 5th floor. Same view as my room.

The sauna.

This hotel is recommended if you are going to stay in Miri city centre. There are also suites which have kitchen, living room and bedrooms. The promotional rate for the suite is RM150++ for one bedroom without breakfast. The good thing is that internet is available in every room! You just need to bring your network cable. The lobby has WiFi. The staff are helpful and attentive.

The check-in time is 3pm and check-out time is 12am. They will give you rush room if you reach ther early. I got a rush room at 9am+. Well… That’s what they called it πŸ˜› I’m not sure what it is hehehe…

This is my first time staying at a hotel alone and my first time fully utilise the swimming pool and sauna facility.

Just one complain… It’s not sound proof πŸ˜› I think most hotels are like this, at least so far I haven’t come across any. Oh well… 5-star maybe but don’t think I can even afford it *LOL* Even 4-star, if not because of the promotional rate, I won’t be staying here.

I will blog about my breakfast at the coffee house soon.
