Another skincare product from Korea, It’s Skin Power 10 Formula Q10 Effector. Was attracted to price and the packaging. Less than RM30(can be purchased from Hermo or Althea), it’s quite cheap for 30ml serum in glass bottle with dropper pipette.


It claims that this serum is fast acting and can intensely hydrates your skin and rebuild its depleting collagen and elastin level. Coenzyme Q10 is suitable for dull, rough and aging skin.

It gave me random tiny breakouts however the effect was quite good as my skin felt hydrated, oiliness reduced after a long day. It’s a love-hate relationship. In fact, I just need half pump for my face, one pump was too much. I used this on its own at night. There are tiny yellow beads in there which will melt into your skin on application. The smell of the serum wasn’t too strong, not fragrance free for sure.

Will I buy it again? With the breakouts I got from using it even though it’s random, I will give it a pass.

While I’m away… A post from yours truly ;p I’m not sure when will the next post come… Soooooo busy!

I was sourcing for new facial cleanser to try after I ran out of Taiwan Magnolia Facial Cleansing. Instead of going to Watsons or Guardian, I went online to look for it, trying my luck in Althea. Too many to choose and I ended up buying Elizavecca Milky Piggy 24K Gold Snail Cleansing Foam because it is big in size and only cost RM25!! No harm trying, price is so affordable. If not suitable, I’ll just use it on my body hahaha…


It came all the way from Korea. The packaging is very unique! Not your normal box but in the shape gold bar. How cute?!?! Even the tube is gold in colour.

It claims that the cleanser consists of snail filtrate (1000ppm) which can sooth and protect your skin from environment harm and gold (10ppm) which is able to provide moisture and brighten your skin. I’ll just take it as it *LOL*

The smell isn’t too bad at first. However, when I lathered it up, there’s some “fishy” smell but still bearable. Now, I got used to the smell already. Been using it for almost 3 months.

The texture of the cleansing form is quite dense, you only need a little and it foams up very well. The bubbles are so fine and rich. I let the bubbles do the cleaning and massaging by very lightly massage it on my face instead of applying too much pressure. Sometimes I’ll leave it for a little longer then I rinsed it off. I’m blown away by the effect. No tout feeling, no dry skin. The face felt so clean, supple, and smooth. Once in a while, I will use it on my body too.

I highly recommend this cleanser. Shouldn’t be a problem to those having dry and/or sensitive skin (I guess…) as I don’t suffer any red patches or itchiness from using it.

Holiday Inn Express Luoyang City Center

Back in April, I went to Luoyang, China for work with my colleagues. It was spring but the weather can be pretty cold at times.

Holiday Inn Express Luoyang City Center was where we stayed for 4 days. The room was comfortable enough and surprising spacious because it’s an express hotel.

Conveniently located at Northwest of the intersection of Kaiyuan Avenue and Jinchengzhai Street, Luolong District and 14km from Luoyang Beijiao Airport and 8km from Luoyang Longmen High-speed Railway Station.


Left: The bed was awesome! There’s pillows that you can choose also.
Right: Do not expect full package of toiletries available, it’s very basic. No lotion, no conditioner. The shampoo cum shower gel were attached to the wall in the shower cubicle. Very big bathroom as well.

Do not expect iron and ironing board in your room too. you can wash your clothes and iron your clothes at the common laundry room though.

Do not expect room service, they don’t. The kitchen does not open 24/7 too.


The view from my room. Overall, the stay was pleasant even though it’s an express hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful.

This area is just like Putrajaya. At night, it’s pretty dead *LOL* However, just walked a bit further up at the back of the hotel, you’ll find a slightly more happening street where you can get many F&B outlets and a shopping complex.

Ausotel Smart Baiyun Airport

Extremely lagging post. So many pending. Went to Guangzhou for the first time in April, for transit only. Ausotel Smart Baiyun Airport was recommended by a friend in Guangzhou. Not entitled to stay in Pullman so have to stay a slightly further away, it’s less than 3KM from airport *LOL*, they have free shuttle.

Right: The bed and pillows were pretty comfy, just too bad couldn’t sleep too long as we had to rush to the airport very early in the morning for flight to Luoyang. It claimed that it’s soundproof but my colleague’s room wasn’t that soundproof. As for mine, I didn’t hear anything though.


Left: The rooms is surprisingly spacious. The toilet and shower are not combined so it’s great if you have more than one person in the room. The vanity area is open concept with all the necessary toiletries.
Right: The basic coffee/tea making facility is available.


Free WiFi is available. The hotel can be considered rather new in that area. Great for transit. If you need to catch early flight, they can prepare packed breakfast. I can’t remember what we were given, I only remember yogurt and apple ;p

Good thing there’s restaurant in the hotel. There is nothing much around though. It’s like a dead town at night.

The room rate wasn’t very cheap, it cost us almost RM400 per night inclusive of breakfast. Well… What to do… It’s the most convenient and decent place to stay so that we could catch the early morning flight without the rush.

Decided to try Kiss Me by Isehan Sunkiller Super Lasting Powder SPF 50+ PA++++ because there’s offer for it that time at Watsons. It cost less than RM40 after discount. Can’t remember the actual price.

Read the label and it sounded promising. Claimed to be able to let your face stay smooth and matte for at least 10 hours with sebum absorbing ingredients, prevent makeup from melting and caking. Pore covering and strong UV protecting also. It is formulated with Hyaluric acid and collagen Lipidure. All sounded so good!


There is no colour to choose, it’s suitable for any skin colour because it claimed to provide sheer finishing. Unscented as well.


If you are expecting coverage from this powder, you can forget about it. It doesn’t provide much coverage. What you see here is that I’ve applied a bit of Benefit High Beam Face Highlighter over it so the pigmentation on my cheekbone didn’t look too obvious. Even though it looked sheer and thinking that the colour of the powder might be very light but it’s a total opposite, the colour is quite dark.

I’m using it after sunscreen. The face do feel smooth, however the powder doesn’t sink into the skin, it’s “floating” on the skin. Just a gentle brush with facial tissue, you’ll get the stain on the tissue.

The powder is easily broken. I brought it with me in my hand carry on the previous trip, the edging broke. Quite fragile.

I’ve been using it for a month already. The only good thing I found is the sebum control part. My face is less oily even at the end of the day.

In conclusion, I won’t purchase this again. Going to try other face powder next round.
