Peripera Blur Pang Peach Milk Blur

Posted on April 4, 2018April 5, 2018 By sweet surrender No Comments on Peripera Blur Pang Peach Milk Blur

Peripera Blur Pang Peach Milk Blur is from korea. This primer is claimed to be able to achieve an airbrushed finishing, as if all your flaws are blurred away.

The one I’m sharing here is Peach. The packaging is so cute, just like a mini milk cartoon. I got this from Watsons, priced at about RM40+ for 50ML.

There are 3 different types. Each has different function:
Peach Milk Blur: SPF30PA++ protection, tone-up with CC cream effect.
Banana Milk Blur: Natural coverage tone-up effect.
Pure Milk Blur: Tone-up effects for face and body parts that look dull and sallow.

Peripera Blur Pang range consists of these ingredients:
NEW ZEALAND COLOSTRUM: Contains colostrum that was milked within 72 hours in the pristine New Zealand. The freshness of first milk provides brightening and skin barrier strengthening benefits to deliver clear and soft skin textures, just like a baby.
JEJU GOAT MILK: Nourishes skin and an ingredient that is most similar to breast milk; contains 28% more of inorganic salt selenium compared to normal milk, for even healthier skin.
VITA COMPLEX10: A complex of 10 vitamins including B5, B7, B9, C, E, A, B1, B2, B3 and B4 for healthy and more radiant skin.

It also claimed to have 98% peach extract (14,000 ppm).

The smell of peach is strong. That’s always the case when it comes to products with peach fragrance. However, it doesn’t bother me.

I applied to half of my face to see the effect. The one on the left has only my moisturizer while the one on the right is applied with Peach Milk Blur. The cream texture is quite hard to spread and left sticky layer on my face.

Looking at the photo, the skin condition without Peach Milk Blur looks better. However, the primer did blur out some spots on my face. It’s a bit too white for my skin tone but once it settled down which took hours, it will look more natural.

After applying it all over the face, I proceeded with my usual makeup routine. The stickiness of the primer was still there. Looking at these photos, it did blur out my spots which usually can be seen in photos. That’s the only good thing about it. Anyway, you can also use this on its own on your lazy day.

Repurchase will not be considered. There are many good reviews about it but too bad it doesn’t go well with me. I dislike the texture and the stickiness. My skin also felt suffocated using it. A bit of itch developed at the end of the day.

Maybelline Hyper Tight Liner

Posted on March 19, 2018March 26, 2018 By sweet surrender No Comments on Maybelline Hyper Tight Liner

I purchased Maybelline Hyper Tight Liner after I saw it on Taiwanese variety show, Queen. Since I ran out of eyeliner, I decided to try this out. I bought it for about RM25 when it was on offer. Original price is more than RM30.

It comes in this kind of packaging which is different from the normal box or no packaging. All the list of ingredients and usage instructions are on the packaging.

There you go… This is the liner. Unscrew the cap and and will reveal this…

The flex-tip is like a marker pen. The angle is 15 degree which is very convenience to draw on your waterline. The tip is so fine that it can draw a very thin line and reach tight spot. Just keep adding on if you want thicker line.

The first time I used it, it didn’t smudge. However, it smudged on me on my second usage. Hmm… I didn’t even do any rigorous activities, didn’t even sweat, yet it smudged. I guess next time need to dab a bit of black eyeshadow so that it will not smudge. The liner only comes in Jet Black, no other colour. If it comes in brown, then at least the smudge won’t be that obvious.

On removing part, it is very easy to remove with makeup remover.

Worth buying? Price and design, yes. However, it’s not smudgeproof. This is one important aspect I look for in an eyeliner. Not waterproof as claimed. Disappointed. Well… No repurchase. For now, I’ll covered it with my dark brown or black eyeshadow to prevent excessive smudging.

Museum Hotel, Penang

Posted on January 25, 2018January 25, 2018 By sweet surrender 3 Comments on Museum Hotel, Penang

Early this year, we went for short getaway with Air Asia direct flight from Kuching to Penang. Museum Hotel was our home for 3 nights. I booked this hotel(without breakfast) via AirAsiaGo combined with flight ticket(without meal and luggage) that cost us about RM1850.00 for 4D3N, 3 pax.

From the official website museumhotel.com.my:

Step back in time and savour the opulence of a bygone era at the Museum Hotel. Located in a restored historic building in the heart of George Town, this gem of a boutique hotel offers a unique glimpse into the golden past of this world heritage listed city. Each spacious, luxuriously appointed themed suite is one-of-a-kind. Immerse yourself in the rich history and culture of Penang while you indulge your senses in luxury at the Museum Hotel.

If you drive, you don’t have to worry about parking, it is limited but they do have their own parking for their guests. The staffs were very friendly and helpful. We were served with refreshing cold lemongrass ginger drink while checking in.

Navigate through the hotel to our room, it’s like going back to the olden days.

I booked a room for 3 pax that can cater for maximum 4 pax. The room is known as QI LIN (麒麟) Quadruple Duplex Room.

Details from museumhotel.com.my:

The wondrous Qi Lin (麒麟) is an auspicious creature of Chinese mythology. It is said to herald the arrival of a wise or honoured personage, and thus are considered very good omens in Chinese culture. Our Quadruple duplex room is named for the lucky Qi Lin, and this room is suitable for a company of up to 4 adults. A wooden-floored living room on the lower level has a comfortable sitting area, and a flight of stairs leads to the upper floor bedroom, with a queen sized four-poster bed, and two single beds. The bathroom features two showers and double basins. The room includes all modern conveniences and amenities:
– Air conditioning
– 32” LCD television with satellite channels
– Free in-room wifi
– Laptop safe
– Coffee and tea making facilities
– Ensuite bathroom with double showers and toiletries
– Laundry service
– Colonial dressing table
– Straits Chinese wall mirror
– Brass standing lamp
– Telephone (In-house calls)
– Old English brass & porcelain switches

They led us to the room and explained how to use the room. We realized something too, the staff took of his shoes when he led us in. It was quite a surprise that it has two floors! Living area on the first; bedroom and bathrooms on the second floor. Very cozy place. Just one thing, 3 settees only… someone has to sit on the floor hahaha!

Few things to remember:
1. The fan speed cannot be adjusted.
2. Switch on bathroom heater for 5 minutes before shower and only switch off after everyone took their shower.
3. No need to remove the card in the wall slot.
4. Return the key to reception on the way out and collect it from reception on the way in.

The bathroom amenities were enough for us to use, except for the soap. Only two small bars, too bad… Love to shower with the oatmeal soap. I know… Can always ask for extra but hehe… lazy.

You do not need to worry about how 4 pax can share bathroom and toilet, there’s 2 toilets, 2 shower cubicles, and two sinks. So… No need to wait too long for your turn.

The beds were creaky hahaha!! It sure made lots of noise.

The staff were awesome already during check-in. When we got back to the hotel after a day out, there was another surprise. They placed traditional sweets in the room with a short note greeting you by your name and descriptions of the sweets given. First night was haw flakes, second night was peanut brittle, and third night was coconut sweets.

Overall, the hotel was way beyond my expectations. Great for friends and family(no children allowed if not mistaken) to stay if you’re in Penang. It’s not very far from the free shuttle stop too.

Address: No.76, Jalan A.S Mansor (Off Transfer Road), 10050 Penang.

Real Skin Healthy Vinegar Skin Toner (Red Ginseng)

Posted on January 12, 2018December 12, 2018 By sweet surrender 3 Comments on Real Skin Healthy Vinegar Skin Toner (Red Ginseng)

So… Ran out of toner, decided to source for Korean product in Althea. Happened that it was on offer, so I quickly grab this Real Skin Healthy Vinegar Skin Toner (Red Ginseng). Too many varieties, hard to decide. Ended up I bought red ginseng because the key functions are reduce wrinkles, enhance skin healthy glow, and nourish the skin. It is also suitable for normal, dry, and sensitive skin. At this age, need to firm those sagging skin otherwise it will be too late hahaha…

With the massive 300ml product, it will surely last me for awhile. I was quite worry that the product might spill while in transport, thank goodness it didn’t because of the stopper. Hence, do not throw it away, it can be useful if you want to bring it with you on the road.

No sourish smell even though it’s vinegar. There’s mild citrus scent. The PH of the toner is 5.5 which is recommended for healthy skin.

After cleansing, I would pour a few drops on my palm and pat it on my face until it absorb(it won’t take long, very fast absorbing) before applying serum or moisturizer. My face is instantly refreshed and hydrated. No stickiness on the skin too. No breakout or redness after using it. I’ve been using this for half year, still serve me well.

You can also use a cotton pad to apply the toner. You can exfoliate at the same time.

I once accidentally mistook it for makeup remover because I didn’t pay attention to what I grabbed *LOL* I soaked up the cotton pad and started to remove my makeup with it, amazingly it could remove my makeup easily, even makeup on the eyes.

Lastly, I do recommend this product. As for repurchase, I will if it is on offer.

Esthe Dew Moist Cleansing Water

Posted on December 26, 2017October 25, 2018 By sweet surrender No Comments on Esthe Dew Moist Cleansing Water

I’ve been using cleansing water for years, love it because it’s not oily, cleanse pretty well, and no irritation issue. I decided to try another brand of cleansing water from Japan, Esthe Dew Moist Cleansing Water.

Why I bought this?
1. It was on offer on Hermo *LOL*
2. 500ml, that is a lot!
3. Chamomile in the ingredient.
4. For sensitive skin, normal to dry skin.

When I received it, I found out there’s “silk extract” stated on the bottle. However, it’s not stated in the ingredient list I found in Watsons website. Here’s the ingredients:

Water, Hyaluronic Acid, Chamomile Extract, Rice Fermented Liquid, Alcohol, Paraben, Fragrance.

It mentioned about fragrance but I didn’t smell any. In fact, I didn’t smell anything.

Very easy to use. Just soak up the cotton pad and gently wipe away.

Been using it for 6 months, it works pretty well. No breakouts. No irritations. Cleansed well. Removed most mascaras and eye makeups with no issue except the stubborn Maybelline Hypercurl Volum Express Cat Eyes which can only be removed with Clarins Instant Eye Make-up Remover (Waterproof and Heavy Make-up).

Overall, I do not regret this purchase although price is a bit high, it cost almost RM60 after discount. It’s selling at RM60 something. As for repurchase, I might go back to Haruhada Collagen Moisture Cleansing Water which you can get from Sasa, cheaper (if not mistaken) or other cleansing water just for a try.
