Posted on April 10, 2020April 10, 2020 By sweet surrender No Comments on 2nd Extension to Malaysia Movement Control Order (New Date: 28 April)

Today, day 24 of Malaysia Movement Control Order, we’re being informed that it will be extended for another 2 weeks, until 28 April. Well… It’s not surprising. It has to be done. We have no choice at all, if it’s not extended, whatever sacrifices we did few weeks ago will be wasted. Whatever it is, we are in it together, let’s fight this war together for our future. Gambatte!

#day24 of #movementcontrolorder , we are told that it will be extended 28 Apr 2020. It's a right move! Let's continue to #stayathome #stayclean #cleanhands #flattenthecurve #breakthechain be #circuitbreaker . It doesn't take one person to make it possible, it's all of us #kitajagakita #beresponsible #tidakpastijangankongsi #wecandoit . Look at how tiny we are in compare to the creation of mother nature. It's surreal to see #mtcook (the highest mountain in New Zealand. Its height, as of 2014, is listed as 3,724 metres. ) in #newzealand on my Dec 2012 trip. . #travelblogger #lifestyleblogger #sarawakbloggers #throwbacktravel #mountain #naturewonder #aoraki #highestmountain #southernalps #amazingnature #Canterbury #mountcook #mountcooknationalpark #traveltheworld #purenewzealand #NZMustDo @purenewzealand

Ayam BrandΓ’β€žΒ’ Community Care Campaign 2019: Get Healthy Malaysia, Start Now (Sarawak)

Posted on November 10, 2019December 2, 2019 By sweet surrender No Comments on Ayam BrandΓ’β€žΒ’ Community Care Campaign 2019: Get Healthy Malaysia, Start Now (Sarawak)

After the successful Ayam BrandΓ’β€žΒ’ Community Care Campaign in 2018, they are now back with new theme, Get Healthy Malaysia, Start Now, that aims to empower children from 10 states in Malaysia with information to identify healthier food choices and equip them with skills to prepare their own Malaysian Healthy Plate meal. The program is open to children from eight years up.

This year, there are four charity homes from Kuching received two monthsÒ€ℒ supply of Ayam BrandΓ’β€žΒ’ products equivalent to 47,340 healthy meals for the total of 263 residents at these homes.

Ministry of Health Malaysia promotes Suku-Suku Separuh, the division of plate portion to a quarter for protein, a quarter for complex carbohydrates and half for fruits and vegetables. It is an easy way to portion out the types of food our body needs. Ayam BrandΓ’β€žΒ’ adopted this Suku-Suku Separuh concept for their annual Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme.

There were 20 children from Kompleks Kebajikan Laila Taib, Rumah Kanak-Kanak Toh Puan Hajah Norkiah Kuching, Salvation Army Kuching, SK. Batu Lintang and SJK (C) Chung Hua No 3 participated in the informative, challenging and fun Γ’β‚¬ΛœAyam BrandΓ’β€žΒ’ Community Care Campaign 2019, Get Healthy Malaysia, Start NowÒ€ℒ.

The event kicked off with an interactive introduction to the #sukusukuseparuh concept, followed by five teams of five children preparing a meal based on the 3S principles, within 30 minutes with minimal assistance from adults, using recipes that have been vetted by nutritionist.

While waiting for their Malaysian Healthy Plate meals to be evaluated the children were challenged with games that required Higher Order Thinking Skills to reinforce what they had learned on good nutrition.

Here’s the winning teams!

1st: Rumah Kanak-Kanak Toh Puan Hajah Norkiah Kuching
2nd: SJK Chung Hua No 3
3rd: SK Batu Lintang

Consolations:
Kompleks Kebajikan Laila Taib
Salvation Army Kuching

Seri Sarawak Macam2 Ada Ramadhan Buffet @ Grand Margherita Hotel, Kuching

Posted on May 10, 2019May 10, 2019 By sweet surrender No Comments on Seri Sarawak Macam2 Ada Ramadhan Buffet @ Grand Margherita Hotel, Kuching

It’s that time of the year again… This time around, I’m going to share the one from Grand Margherita Hotel, Kuching, with you. It’s the famous Seri Sarawak Macam2 Ada Ramadhan Buffet. It’s at its poolside. Not too big, not too small, the size is just nice.

The buffet starts 6.30pm and ends at 10pm daily. Priced at RM96nett/adult and RM38nett/child. If you want to save a bit more, get it from their Insiders Club mobile app or from www.grandmargherita.com/deals at only RM72nett.

You can also get the voucher at RM85nett which you can redeem the Ramadhan buffet in any three outlets of theirs either for Seri Sarawak Macam2 Ada Ramadhan Buffet at Grand Margherita Hotel or Sungkei Ria Ramadhan Buffet at Riverside Majestic Puteri Wing or Nightly Buffet Dinner at Riverside Majestic Hotel Astana Wing.

There’s over 100 local and international cuisines available from Malay food to Chinese food to Middle Eastern food to Western Food to Indian food and more! Too many to name.

Even Penang food too! I don’t think this option is available in other hotels’ Ramadhan buffet in Kuching. Chefs from Penang came here to cook and serve you! For example, Penang Char Kueh Tiaw, Penang Loh Bak, Hokkien Prawn Mee Soup, Seafood Omelette, Penang Fruit Rojak and Penang Asam Laksa.

Don’t forget the little corner of Japanese food too…

For resevations or enquiries, do call 082-532111.

Here’s my video summary of the buffet:

Blogging since 2002. Anything before 2006 is no longer available. It is no longer on this server. Back then, I built my own blog and updated it using HTML. No database or anything. Only started blogging fully with a CMS in 2006. However, whatever was on the Internet will stay on the Internet. So... It should be still somewhere on the Internet. Then again... Why do you want to dig that far?
