Money Or Quality?

Posted on October 22, 2007October 23, 2007 By sweet surrender 13 Comments on Money Or Quality?

First of all, sorry for all those paid posts lately. There will be more to come but I will make sure I come out with good non-paid posts. I really can’t help it, there are so many offers for me lately. My blogs contribute to more than 85% of my income. Hence this leads me to this topic.

Also I’m currently out of things to blog hahaha… I don’t want to feed you with my emo or personal posts. I’m keeping it to myself for the time being unless until I can’t stand it and almost explode πŸ˜›

Ok.. I’m sure you know that many people started blogging because of the opportunities to earn money from it. You can’t find many bloggers that don’t blog for money anymore. Everyone will at least take part in one money making program. I know you do this too! Don’t tell me you don’t! You are not a Saint! We’re all evil in blogsphere. Almost all of us are going into the dark side of blogging already. You are no better than me ;p you are not qualified to lecture me.

I know some people have a blog with more than 50% of the content are ads! Do you think there will be people visiting it? Do you think you will even visit it? Usually I don’t visit a blog that has more than 50% of its content filled with paid posts or those that posted their sponsored posts continuously without any non-paid post(s) in between. I don’t mind contextual links in a non-paid post or some will prefer to call that a sponsored post too.

WAIT! I’m not here to teach you how to blog before some suckers trying to shoot me by saying that I’m in no good position to criticise the way they blog. I’m just stating my preferences of blogs that I visit. We all like to say this – if you don’t like it, just get out of here! That’s what I’m doing to blogs that I don’t like. I won’t bother to go back the second time unless the blog really has very good blog posts then I will be sponsored posts blind.

I always make sure that I have at least one non-paid posts in between a sponsored post. I am trying to maintain my quality of my blog, I don’t want it be a blog that fills with ads though I know that by having sponsored posts are enough to downgrade my blog quality… Well… We usually will hear this remarks from those Saints. They are just jealous. I don’t care! I have my own way to rate whether a blog is worth my visit or not.

Sometimes I have to control myself from writing too many sponsored posts if I really can’t come out with anything good to write. I limit myself to a maximum of 3 posts a day. If a blog has very fast posts turnaround, many readers will have problem following it. The 3 posts might be laid in these patterns:
Sponsored-MyPost-Sponsored or MyPost-Sponsored-MyPost
Regardless of the TOS of any money making program, I will do this.

Besides that, I also do this to programs that only required a link and not a post:
MyPost-MyPost(with contextual link)-MyPost or MyPost(with contextual link)-MyPost-MyPost(with contextual link)
I make sure that each post will only have one advertiser link only instead of multiple links as this is obviously breaching their TOS.
Update: Oh ya… I’m not referring to Kontera or AdBrite as you have no full control over where you want to have it and how many links to appear in a post, its all automated. What I’m saying is the tasks that are assigned to you and you have to do it manually and submit it when it’s done.

This is how I maintain my quality. Sometimes I’m quite picky when selecting a task to write. At least for this blog. Hahaha… For my other blogs, I will just take any task that is available but I also make sure that I follow the way I laid out my sponsored, non-paid posts and also non-paid posts with contextual link in my personal blog.

I can guarantee you that no one will visit a blog with tonnes of sponsored posts. If you have the ability to write a sponsored post that doesn’t look like a sponsored post, then you are really good! I salute people like this. However, if you are just like anybody else… Ah well… I will say that you won’t be getting much loyal visitors except maybe your own friends.

I even know some bloggers that even started blogs that only meant to write sponsored posts, the whole blog is only sponsored posts!! Believe it! Hahaha… I won’t say that it’s wrong, it’s your freedom anyway. It just won’t be a place that I will return to. Obviously I don’t think you will even mind about the traffic to that blog of yours, all you care is the money. Right?

Whatever it is, it’s your choice. However, many newbies must know that to earn money from blog is not easy. The money will not fall into your hand just like that. You have to do something about it before you start making money from it. You must have certain establishment and commitment before you can make it big. Just see those popular bloggers out there, they started sincerely as a Saint before turning evil hahaha…

How about you? Do you go for the money and ignore the quality of your blog? I can tell you that I’m doing my best to maintain my blog quality at the same time making money from it. In fact if I don’t care about the quality, I can make a lot more than what I’m making now but I still have my integrity and still sane enough not to be blinded by the delicious money. Such a good girl πŸ˜› Don’t leave me OK!?!?! I need you, without you I can’t come this far.

MUAKS! Love you all that have been staying with me during my thicks and thins.

WOW!!! Didn’t realise this post is so long πŸ˜›

3rd Advertlets Cheque Is Here!

Posted on October 19, 2007October 20, 2007 By sweet surrender 3 Comments on 3rd Advertlets Cheque Is Here!

Somebody is missing me is it? Man… I’ve been sneezing the whole day *ACHOOOoooOoOo*

ARG!!! I’m so late in posting this and I’m the slowest one to receive my 3rd Advertlets cheque from Poslaju. This cheque almost can’t see the light!

My dad said that he sees Poslaju around everyday but nothing for me. Then, I asked Josh for the tracking number. He gave me and I called to Poslaju to ask. Guess what?!?!? They told me they couldn’t find me!!! The envelope was marked with “tidak dikenali”(unknown) -.-” Summore there wasn’t my phone number provided on the posting slip, that’s why they couldn’t call me.

*SHOCK* I’m staying about 1KM away from Poslaju and they couldn’t find me?!?! Summore, this is not a new commercial and industrial area. My area existed more than 3 decades ago!! Also, they always like to hang out at the kopitiams near my place, same row summore!

I bet it’s the new postman that was doing the job, the old one must have retired already, no wonder… The cheque reached Kuching on the 10th and sent out on 11th. He must had sent it to another place with the same lot number but different road name nearby which it happened to be Banana Greetings’ printing factory hahaha…

Shocking… Shocking… Anyway, after got the confirmation from them that the document was indeed at Poslaju, I went there to collect it. I used to go to Poslaju to post my Ebay stuffs and those people thought that I was there to send thing but instead was looking for a mail. How funny was that?!?!

Anyway… Finally I got my cheque! πŸ™‚

Malaysians Can Withdraw Paypal Now! – Debit Card Version (3)

Posted on October 12, 2007October 12, 2007 By sweet surrender 3 Comments on Malaysians Can Withdraw Paypal Now! – Debit Card Version (3)

Remember the post about Paypal withdrawal?

Our result is out! FAILED!

No money going in until today. So we will cancel the transaction though Payapl didn’t classify it as failed transaction. It’s more the 7 business days already. If it’s successful, the money should be in long time ago as those using Public Bank Visa Electron Debit Card had got their money already long before the 7 business days end.

Malaysians Can Withdraw Paypal Now! – Debit Card Version (2)

Posted on October 1, 2007October 2, 2007 By sweet surrender 14 Comments on Malaysians Can Withdraw Paypal Now! – Debit Card Version (2)

I know that withdrawing your Paypal funds to credit card is quite stupid. Not that I never thought of it before, I did. That’s why we do it with debit card first. We will still do it for the sake of blogging even though we know that we will loss quite an amount of money in there *LOL* At least we can have a breakdown of charges to show you that which way is a better way to do it so that you can make a better choice or just stick back to your VMI or whatever card you have πŸ˜› There are already a lot of posts about using VMI, Accent etc. Someone just has to do it for this! I doubt many will test it with their credit card hahaha… So crazy!

Remember the post about Malaysians Can Withdraw Paypal Now! – Debit Card Version? Here’s the latest update about it. Actually I posted the progress first in Money Money Come yesterday in Paypal: Malaysians Can Withdraw Funds From Paypal Now! (Part 2).

Checked the status in Paypal and the status is changed to “Completed”.

Next, we login to Alrajhi Bank online banking and found out that RM1 is deducted for “Purchase Debit”.

So far, it runs smoothly. We will see when the money will be going into the bank account. Stay tuned! Hehehe…

Malaysians Can Withdraw Paypal Now! – Debit Card Version (1)

Posted on September 29, 2007April 4, 2014 By sweet surrender 90 Comments on Malaysians Can Withdraw Paypal Now! – Debit Card Version (1)

Notice something in Paypal? This is a good news to all of us! We do not need Accent card, VMI card, E-trade or whatever anymore! You just need to use your credit card or debit card with MasterCard or Visa logo to withdraw your money!

Cool… They charge USD5 per transaction. At least it’s safer and under your control unlike those cards which I don’t really trust them untill now as I heard of many stories about account being suspended and all those torublesome processes that you have to go tru’ to re-activate your account though they got their accounts back still I hate going tru’ the whole process in case I’m that unlucky. This explains why I don’t apply for any untill now. Besides, I have ways to get my money from my Paypal without withdrawing it(top secret πŸ˜› cannot tell you how hehehe…), also I don’t have that much fund in there so no point to withdraw also. You’ve probably heard a lot about Paypal yourself but may not be entirely sure what you think. If you are looking to purchase things online, perhaps you want to some electronic equipment then Paypal is a great thing to use. You’ll like the stability it offers you and how safe it makes you feel when you are buying and selling online.

See the screeshoots below…

When you click on “Transfer funds to your card”, you will be redirected to a page called “Withdraw Funds to your Card”. Withdrawals to your card must meet the minimum withdrawal amount which is USD10 (depends on the currency). If you are withdrawing to a prepaid card, the amount that you can withdraw might differ from your PayPal account withdrawal limit.

We tested it with Jimmy’s(for Chinese version) Alrajhi Bank debit card that he got from applying for their current account. For the time being, we will test with debit card, when this transaction is completed and make sure that we got our money, we will test it with credit card.

Since it’s first time withdrawal, card details need to be added. Debit Cards, Check Card, ATM Cards or Banking Cards are accepted as long that they have a Visa or MasterCard Logo.

Key in the value after you successfully added the card.

Then you will see the summary before you confirm the transaction.

It will take 5-7 business days. We will see how by then… By the way, you can only withdraw USD500 per day. I don’t have this amount of money per day hahaha… If I have… WOW! I’ll be a millionaire soon! πŸ˜›

Remember! Credit card version coming up! Hehehe…

You can also read about it at Paypal: Malaysians Can Withdraw Funds From Paypal Now! (Part 1), in fact I published it in Money Money Come before this blog πŸ˜›

Blogging since 2002. Anything before 2006 is no longer available. It is no longer on this server. Back then, I built my own blog and updated it using HTML. No database or anything. Only started blogging fully with a CMS in 2006. However, whatever was on the Internet will stay on the Internet. So... It should be still somewhere on the Internet. Then again... Why do you want to dig that far?
