First of all, sorry for all those paid posts lately. There will be more to come but I will make sure I come out with good non-paid posts. I really can’t help it, there are so many offers for me lately. My blogs contribute to more than 85% of my income. Hence this leads me to this topic.
Also I’m currently out of things to blog hahaha… I don’t want to feed you with my emo or personal posts. I’m keeping it to myself for the time being unless until I can’t stand it and almost explode π
Ok.. I’m sure you know that many people started blogging because of the opportunities to earn money from it. You can’t find many bloggers that don’t blog for money anymore. Everyone will at least take part in one money making program. I know you do this too! Don’t tell me you don’t! You are not a Saint! We’re all evil in blogsphere. Almost all of us are going into the dark side of blogging already. You are no better than me ;p you are not qualified to lecture me.
I know some people have a blog with more than 50% of the content are ads! Do you think there will be people visiting it? Do you think you will even visit it? Usually I don’t visit a blog that has more than 50% of its content filled with paid posts or those that posted their sponsored posts continuously without any non-paid post(s) in between. I don’t mind contextual links in a non-paid post or some will prefer to call that a sponsored post too.
WAIT! I’m not here to teach you how to blog before some suckers trying to shoot me by saying that I’m in no good position to criticise the way they blog. I’m just stating my preferences of blogs that I visit. We all like to say this – if you don’t like it, just get out of here! That’s what I’m doing to blogs that I don’t like. I won’t bother to go back the second time unless the blog really has very good blog posts then I will be sponsored posts blind.
I always make sure that I have at least one non-paid posts in between a sponsored post. I am trying to maintain my quality of my blog, I don’t want it be a blog that fills with ads though I know that by having sponsored posts are enough to downgrade my blog quality… Well… We usually will hear this remarks from those Saints. They are just jealous. I don’t care! I have my own way to rate whether a blog is worth my visit or not.
Sometimes I have to control myself from writing too many sponsored posts if I really can’t come out with anything good to write. I limit myself to a maximum of 3 posts a day. If a blog has very fast posts turnaround, many readers will have problem following it. The 3 posts might be laid in these patterns:
Sponsored-MyPost-Sponsored or MyPost-Sponsored-MyPost
Regardless of the TOS of any money making program, I will do this.
Besides that, I also do this to programs that only required a link and not a post:
MyPost-MyPost(with contextual link)-MyPost or MyPost(with contextual link)-MyPost-MyPost(with contextual link)
I make sure that each post will only have one advertiser link only instead of multiple links as this is obviously breaching their TOS.
Update: Oh ya… I’m not referring to Kontera or AdBrite as you have no full control over where you want to have it and how many links to appear in a post, its all automated. What I’m saying is the tasks that are assigned to you and you have to do it manually and submit it when it’s done.
This is how I maintain my quality. Sometimes I’m quite picky when selecting a task to write. At least for this blog. Hahaha… For my other blogs, I will just take any task that is available but I also make sure that I follow the way I laid out my sponsored, non-paid posts and also non-paid posts with contextual link in my personal blog.
I can guarantee you that no one will visit a blog with tonnes of sponsored posts. If you have the ability to write a sponsored post that doesn’t look like a sponsored post, then you are really good! I salute people like this. However, if you are just like anybody else… Ah well… I will say that you won’t be getting much loyal visitors except maybe your own friends.
I even know some bloggers that even started blogs that only meant to write sponsored posts, the whole blog is only sponsored posts!! Believe it! Hahaha… I won’t say that it’s wrong, it’s your freedom anyway. It just won’t be a place that I will return to. Obviously I don’t think you will even mind about the traffic to that blog of yours, all you care is the money. Right?
Whatever it is, it’s your choice. However, many newbies must know that to earn money from blog is not easy. The money will not fall into your hand just like that. You have to do something about it before you start making money from it. You must have certain establishment and commitment before you can make it big. Just see those popular bloggers out there, they started sincerely as a Saint before turning evil hahaha…
How about you? Do you go for the money and ignore the quality of your blog? I can tell you that I’m doing my best to maintain my blog quality at the same time making money from it. In fact if I don’t care about the quality, I can make a lot more than what I’m making now but I still have my integrity and still sane enough not to be blinded by the delicious money. Such a good girl π Don’t leave me OK!?!?! I need you, without you I can’t come this far.
MUAKS! Love you all that have been staying with me during my thicks and thins.
WOW!!! Didn’t realise this post is so long π
oh….looks like you’re totally consumed by the DARK side of the blog! but i dun mind coz I’m just as bad. happy blogging
well…. I’m still wondering why PPP hasnt approved my blog (the blogspots ones)…
but I think all these paid post/sponsored post has made you keep so much that this post becomes extreamly long..hahaha…
anyway, enjoy reading your blogs.. and I don’t mind a few PP in between… coz I basically skip it also..hehe
wah… the dark force has recruited you… :p
wuching, hehehe… You too happy blogging!
wilson, you are worst than me! π
I try to maintain 1 sponsored+1 my post. BTW, it is really very tough to write a sponsored post like one of your personal post. The line *This is a sponsored post* or *This post is brought to you by* already tell all.
sweet… at least i don’t have a blog that is all paid post… π
hehe… or or or like how you tell me with MM…
its MM and not NN. hahaha
jam, hahaha… Oh well.. Some people really can do that, you read read read and didn’t realise it until you come to the end hahaha… Which these people really have the talent. Though it’s a paid post, sometimes it can be something very personal to you, it doesn’t matter whether it will end with the disclosure or not. Sometimes those paid posts don’t allow you to put in-post disclosure but it can be obvious also that it’s a paid post unless you are those minority. I really salute them.
wilson, at least I’m not like you hantam everything you see hahaha… MM? MM style still follows my standard(refer to my post) hahaha… I do not allow continous paid posts even with contextual links, I also make sure there are posts with no contextual links surrounding it. So basically I won’t allow that to happen like what you do to some of your posts in your blog hahaha…
cdason, hmm… The approval now take a bit long, I also don’t know why. Hahaha… It’s normal that we will just skip the paid posts and not reading it *LOL* Sometimes I will share my personal stuffs in there too depends on the topic I’m writing π
your MM basically has ContentLinks Ads plastered all over it.. π
have to la.. nowadays difficult to get tasks.
I dun like paid post, but no choice, need money to pay hosting ler … boh bien lah
Wilson, where got? Those are the job of Kontera and AdBrite, not I put in one, it’s the program that pandai pandai put in one which doesn’t count. I’m sure you came across people that actually have continuous contextual links in every post. This is what I’m trying to say and obviously breach PPP’s TOS. Anyway, we will be removing them soon, the earning so damn slow. Oh… One of the post in Catscity.net actually got rejected because of AdBrite. So will remove them soon, else I think I’ll be seeing more rejections coming in from PPP.
Monkey, eeek… I almost type your name as “Money” π Hehehe… Oh well… We all need money, what to do… Just make sure you do your best to maintain your blog quality will be all right. In fact sometimes I quite like writing paid posts if the topic is the right one which I can relate my real personal experience with instead of making up some stories.
I’m proud to see a MALAYSIAN is blogging well.I wish i could be just as successful as you.
Bravo
Ebizman, I’m still far from those a-list bloggers. Thanks for coming π
