Happy Mothers’ Day

It’s Mothers’ Day today. How’s your celebrations so far? As for us, nothing, no celebrations, it’s just another day for us. We do not make such a big deal over this day, fathers’ day too. Every year it’s just another day for us. We don’t celebrate much. Birthdays are also nothing to be hu ha about. We are just not into special celebrations.

Some families treated these days as very special days but not for us. I don’t know… It’s just not in our family to celebrate much. Well, it’s odd I know but I don’t think it’s such a big deal. To us, any day can be mothers’ day, fathers’ day, Valentine’s day etc. even our parents always tell us that if we want to get married, have it as simple as possible. The best is just go to ROM and get married legally, the rest are not important. That would be enough to settle it. After that get back to our daily life as usual. See?

That’s all. Need to go back to work. Need to complete some works for next week. Happy Mothers’ Day to all the mothers in this universe.

These are the photos while the constructions were still going on.

TADA! It’s launched on the 10th of May 2007. This flyover costs RM220 million. Itâ€™s completed in just 8 months!!! EH! Realiable or not ah? Don’t later be like that KIA got leakage from the ceiling at the check-in counter area. The hornbill is placed back! Can you see it? Somewhere in the middle of the picture. It’s one of our popular landmarks.

By the way, the landscaping is not done yet. They are in the process of doing it.

So you will be greeted by this flyover and interchange when you are going down to Kuching city center from the airport. Hopefully traffic jam can be reduced at this area.

I’m supposed to be going to eat Sarawak Laksa today then last minute decided to go to RH Plaza because we seldom go there. We walked walked walked and found a place for lunch. There are so many eateries in this area, from kopitiams to restaurants. We decided to try out this place, Del’s Kitchen, seems quite new. It’s at the same row as Taipei 101.

Left: Menu. They have local food to western food, quite a lot of varieties. The local food is a bit pricey compare to the western food. I mean the western food pricings are higher than the local food but it’s consider quite an average pricing compare to local food which is a bit higher than average.
Right: When you go in, your first impression would be, “WOW! So white!” *LOL* It’s air-conditioned! It’s not a very big place but they have 2 small air-cons and 2 big air-cons. Another WOW! 😛 We later found out from their namecard that they are not only occupying the ground floor but the upstairs too.

Their food presentations are quite nice.

Left: Laksa Nyonya(RM5.50), kinda tasteless, a lot of santan though. It’s not spicy, very mild.
Right: Nasi Goreng Paprik(RM5.90), just plain rice with stir fried meat and veggies in black pepper sauce. Only few pieces of meat only, very small pieces summore.

Our drinks. I would say that the drinks are a bit too pricey.

Left: Fruity Punch(RM4.80). I’m expecting it came with a tall glass but it came in this small glass. Nothing much… It’s just mixing two types of syrups. Very sweet! At least it’s too sweet for my liking.
Right: Margarita – non alcoholic(RM5.80). Very nice right? Couldn’t help it and kept on taking pictures of it *LOL* It’s so SOUR! I’m not kidding you, it’s very very very very very… SOUR! First drink, you can taste a hint of flavour like what you get in ENO. The the more you drink, GOODNESS GRACIOUS! SO SOUR! You remember when we’re young, there’s this kind of sweet where it’s very sour in the beginning and after sucking it for sometimes, it’s not sour anymore? Yea…. It’s that kind of sour but with no sweetness at the end. So imagine you need to drink this glass of Margarita, it’s very small glass but but it’s very hard to finish! However, nice presentation.

In the menu, it stated that they charge 5% service tax but when we settled our bill, there’s no tax at all. Hmmm… I’m not sure to recommend this place or not, I like the environment. *SHRUG*

OMG… I’m almost broke already this month -.-” Spent too much on eating out lately. Next Friday spicy steamboat summore and need to find time to go sing Karaoke at Popwave hahaha… I still have many things that I want to eat but… Not much money left 🙁

Can’t Accept Payment In Paypal!

I was so pissed yesterday. Today too! GRRR!

Yesterday:
1. Streamyx kept disconnecting every 30 minutes and I had to restart my modem for almost 10 times in the morning and afternoon. Blardy hell!

2. I couldn’t accept my payments that were sent to my Paypal account and couldn’t complete a transaction with someone.

This screen shoot is normal right? It’s what you will be seeing everytime you want to accept payment.

SH!T! It’s bad enough that ~~our “smart” govberment block us Malaysians~~ paypal blocks us Malaysians from withdrawing fund out of our Paypal account, so most of us use the money to shop online. We spend all our money overseas ~~hahaha…~~ Malaysia gets nothing! Then this “clever” upgrade of Paypal now want us to add a bank account from the US! WTF!?!?! Oi! We are Malaysians! We don’t have US bank account ok?!?! Opening one is not cheap OK?!?! So… They forced us to fill in the form else we can’t accept payment. So what to do? I can’t accept my payment! GRRRRR!!! I have numerous payments coming in these few days and I won’t be able to accept them! OH NO!!! We have only 30 days to accept the payment! OMG! So angry! So I e-mailed to them last night.

Today:
1. ()*^%#@@$ Ex*****s! Make my blog and other sites all DOWN! The down time is terribly long! How do you expect people to sign up with you if you kept going down like this? I put your ad here and you can’t even show to my readers that you are reliable! You kept making my blog down! You think they will sign up with you like this? I have to type this in a notepad first while waiting for you to be up again.

2. Finally Paypal replied my e-mail. Phew…

Please note that: Our PayPal system was updated on May 10, maybe there is some influence during the updated when you try to accept the payments from others.
We suggest you to accept the payment in a later time. If there is still the same message to inform you to add a US bank account, please inform us as soon as possible.

The English is a bit odd 😛 So, I tried just now and it’s still the same problem, I mailed to them again and this is their reply:

We apologize for the delay in responding to your service request. We have noticed this problem and our staff are investigating and working to resolve.
I’m very sorry for the inconvence we’ve brought to you.

So… Have to wait…

Hehehe… Actually got this from Sue who came back to Kuching last year. I realised that I haven’t post anything about the chocolate yet. Hmm… I have the habit of “disecting” chocolate especially if they have fillings. It’s kinda gross 😛 but I love it hahaha… I can have the same piece of chocolate for at least 15 minutes in between my thumb and my index finger hehehe… You have to sample the chocolate bit by bit instead of putting the whole thing into your mouth, that’s not the right way to eat chocolate ok?

Here’s the box of chocolate all the way from the US. Hehehe… Thanks again Sue.
