The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf @ Plaza Walk

Posted on September 13, 2007September 13, 2007 By sweet surrender 1 Comment on The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf @ Plaza Walk

Business is dirty… Oh ya… That’s how dirty it is! Oh~ la~ la~ Let’s get dirty with it!

Ok… This post is another post backdated, birthday post 😛 Hehehe… Remember I said that somebody sent me something in the middle of the night? I was “forced” to blog about by this reader of mine hehehe…

Left: I saw the white envelope of Metro Inn, I thought somebody was kind enough to give me free stay for my Miri trip this October. *SMACK HEAD* Who do you think you are, Irene?!?!? Even in your dream there won’t be anyone sponsors you any trip!
Right: It turned out that… TADA! RM30 worth of gift vouchers from The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf. Hooray! This is one and only reason that made me go there. I have never been there before, believe it! Irene has never been to Coffee Bean! I don’t know… I never have to urge to go… Since somebody gave me this… Hehehe… THANKS! I must go, if not, it’ll be wasted. Only valid for 6 month.

I went the next day.

Ordered Belgium Chocolate (RM12) and Iced Blended Mocha (RM11.50). Hmm… The Belgium Chocolate OK la, at least not that sweet… Price wise for the overall drink, cheaper than Starbucks.

Goodness gracious! The cheesecake is RM8/piece! -.-” I’d rather go to Secret Recipe, cheaper, taste wise… I don’t know… I don’t want to spend RM8 for a cheesecake though I did not need to pay cash for it, only use the gift certificates 😛

After that day, I have one more certificate left. I went to spend it two days ago 😛 Bought a cup of Regular Pure Chocolate with it by adding few Ringgits. That’s it! I spent all! Thank you very much! You know who you are! Hehehe…

Skincare For AMO Skin Types

Posted on September 13, 2007September 13, 2007 By sweet surrender No Comments on Skincare For AMO Skin Types

What is AMO skin types? AMO stands for Asian, Mediterranean and other Olive. I have darker skin colour compare to many of my friends. AMO skin types require different attention compare to caucasian skin types. We cannot use what they are using. Our skin have different needs. Good thing ORIKI Cosmeceuticals, American Board Certified Dermatologist and Biochemist, is incorporating the pigmentation factor into the formulation of its skincare line just for us.

Did you know that pigmented skin and fair skin are different all together? Many people said that those with darker skin tone will not have problem with pigmentation. This is wrong. We do have this problem. You should know that pigmented skin has an inherent tendency to show particular reaction patterns that are different from those seen in white skin and responds differently to different stimuli, such as UV lights and scarring.

If you are having minor injury or acne breakout and the affected area turn to a darker color, then you are having pigmentation. It will take longer to resolve and is more resistant to treatment than those with fair skin. Inappropriate skin care might make it worse. Skin care is not only about dry, normal, combination and oily skin types, you have to know that pigmentation also plays an enormously important role in the best skin care.

I have a mild pigmentation problem, I tend to tan easily compare to my friends. Good thing that ORIKI Cosmeceuticals have the solutions for it. I’m quite interested in their Whitening Serum for For Asian & Olive skin types . It does not contain Hydroquinone, steroids and mercury. You know these are bad! The active botanical ingredients of ORIKI Whitening Serum are: Arbutin, Licorice Extract, Vitamin C and Mulberry Extract. Now… These are good! It will brighten and even your skin tone. It will diminish and prevent dark spots.

I’m going to try it out once I have enough money hehehe… You should check them out too. They have great products for people like us.

Posted on September 12, 2007September 19, 2007 By sweet surrender 6 Comments on I’m RM50 Richer!

LOL… RM50 only… What’s the big deal??!!?! I won the Advertlets sticker contest! Hehehe… So I will have RM50 credited to my Advertlets account and hopefully I can have my 4th cash out soon! The 3rd cheque is on the way, believe it or not? POSLAJU! It haven’t arrive yet, Poslaju is supposed to have next day delivery or if not 2 days the most. This is too much, till now it’s not here yet! I always use Poslaju to send my Ebay stuffs to my buyers and never have this problem but I heard things from West Malaysia to East Malaysia will always delay! Yet… I had never experience it until with this cheque. The cheques sent out were for July cash out not August cash out which means mine will be coming this month end. I thought they sent out the July and August one together.

Ok… Enough of that, once I got my cheque, I will blog about how I will spend it and what had I done with my first and second cheque.

Can you spot me in there 😛 Hehehe… My friends also win!!! Cool… Here’s the list of the winners:

Stupe – Money On Trees
Delephant – Cash Cow
Irene – Frozen Barley Advertlets
Jimmy – Advertlets Everywhere!
Yvonne Foong – Fund Raiser
Uncle Sha – Earrings
Drizad – Kids!
YongKaiLoon – Relaxed
Nafa SG – Laptop
ShoppingNSales – Real “Badge” On Site
Anna – Kaching!
Karimaka – Bunnies
Budiey – Happy Face

Oh wait… One more thing… Are you desperate to cash out? Now here’s your chance to be RM20 richer in your account. This will more or less speed up your cash out. Learn more on how to get RM20/SGD10, this is only for those who never cash out before.

Another tips is to speed up your Advertlets cash out is to make sure you always check their blog for new paid post opportunities!

Good luck!

Satay House

Posted on September 11, 2007November 21, 2008 By sweet surrender 4 Comments on Satay House

When talking about satay, most will think of the satay house at Satok area. The locals like me fondly known it as “satay house”, its real name is Hup Chen Hian Satay House. This should be the only satay house in Kuching.

This is where I had my birthday dinner with my family. This restaurant has decades of history I think because it’s here since I’m still a little girl. Many people will usually buy huge amount of satays from them for some functions or during festival seasons.

Left: Chinese tea.
Middle: The peanut, I like it. They will send to you without you asking for it and remember that this is charged into your bill. If you don’t want to be charged for it, ask them to take back. It’s not free flow. Don’t even dream of that hahaha…
Right: Just chilies and soy sauce.

Everyone goes there will surely order their satays else there is no point to dine there at all. However, the satays sometimes are good, sometimes are pretty tough. This is one of the places in Kuching where you can find pork satay hehehe… I’m not sure where else but here. If you need lots of pork satay, this is the only place you can get. Other places might not be able to supply you that much.

Left: Pork satay.
Middle: Rice, it will be charged per bowl.
Right: We ordered the set menu that cost RM35.80 for 4-5 people, this set came without pork but duck(will talk about the duck later). The soup you are seeing here is sea cucumber chicken soup. Pretty tasteless. It came in big bowl and they served them for us, hence the small bowl here.

There is another set that costs RM40.80, this comes with pork.

Left: “Balachan Cang Kong”, *LOL* it’s “belacan kangkong”!! My sis thought it’s something else so funny and turned out to be this!
Right: Sweet & Sour Fish Fillet hmmm… Quite sweet and the fish fillets looked more like chicken fillets hehehe…

Left: Boneless duck! See no bones but I ate bone! Small pieces of bones were found in there. This is what you call boneless duck! *LOL* very tough and it consisted of many powder instead of duck meat. The duck meat were very quite tough hmm… Two thumbs down for this.
Right: This is the wet towel. you’ll get charged for it too. If you don’t want, then tell them so that they won’t charge you for it.

Was so full! Too bad… the food wasn’t that nice but the satays of that night was tender and juicy. Spent around RM50+ for this dinner. Lost the receipt, so didn’t have the price breakdowns of the tea, the peanuts, the rice and the wet towel. As for the satay I think it’s 30cents or 40 cents per stick, can’t recall.

My Second Nail Project

Posted on September 10, 2007September 10, 2007 By sweet surrender 4 Comments on My Second Nail Project

Something different now. It’s been a while not updating any girl stuff. Also, I think I’ve lost interest in camwhoring -.-” Oh dear… I tried but all the photos turned out not cute and I looked mature! Does this mean I’m old already? NO!!! No more late night sleep… Have to sleep early, before 12am now but… GOSHHH… Not possible at all… Unless money fall from the sky.

Ok… Let’s stop ranting, visiting places and eating for a while… 😛

I have no idea how to design something few weeks ago so decided to give my bare toenails some colours while trying to get some inspirations and ideas. Apparently, after I’m done with my toenails, no idea coming yet… Sigh…

This time, i’m going for blue and white flowers 😛 The base is still the same though… I have only this colour for my nail polish, I don’t plan to buy new colour before this one finish. The other bottleis purple, it’s not mine and I don’t like that colour.

I’m using tweeze this time around, it’s much easier to apply compare to my first nail project. Give a coat of colour nail polish and make sure they are thoroughly dried before sticking on the 3-D stickers. The last step is to coat them with transparent nail polish and left to dry. There you go…

Why do you want to dig that far?
