Laksa @ Sin Chong Choon Cafe

Posted on September 19, 2007November 23, 2008 By sweet surrender 17 Comments on Laksa @ Sin Chong Choon Cafe

Last Sunday(16th September), woke up so early in the morning because we were to meet up with Sam for breakfast and then send Josh to the airport.

Before 8pm, Jimmy reached my place already and I just came out of shower! -.-” So he waited for 15 minutes. Then we went to pick up Josh at the hotel. I think he’s still sleeping that time hahha… That’s because he had a bowling session with Rose and her gang, also Ben and Naomi after dinner. After that, I heard that Ben brought Josh around Kuching to hunt for “ah gua” and only found a few, where’re the rest gone to? *LOL* He sent him back to hotel at 2am!

Reached the hotel and waited for Josh to get ready. We were supposed to meet up with Sam at Sin Chong Choon Cafe at Green Heights before 9am. While waiting, Sam called to confirm whether it’s still on or not as it seemed like it’s getting late already. I saved her number that night but I have no idea what’s wrong with my phone on Saturday and Sunday, it acted quite weird. My phone didn’t display the names of the callers but only numbers even though I had saved them to my phonebook. *SHRUG* However, it’s OK now. No more such problem anymore. Then, Naomi SMS-ed to say that she’s waiting for us as we told her that we would pick her up at around 8.30am hahaha… Next, Annna SMS-ed also and said she’s there already.

Finally, Josh came down, check-out and we headed staright to pick up Naomi and then to the airport to check-in. After that then we go back down to Sin Chong Choon Cafe at Green Heights.

I have no idea what to order for breakfast. At the end, I ordered their laksa as they said this is one of the best laksa in Kuching, this is their branch. So I ordered and see…

The left picture is the normal laksa look that you see everywhere but the right one is different. Something missing right? The green thing hahaha… Coriander leaves right? I don’t like it hehehe… If possible I would usually pick them out from my food. It’s quite small bowl, RM4. Pretty thick and I don’t think it’s that spicy, the taste was quite good but the sambal I don’t like it, it’s quite tasteless.

The guy that served us had this very sour face all the way from the begining when he sent Josh’s laksa. When mine arrived, I asked him to give me fork+spoon because I’m quite slow if I’m using chopsticks to eat hehehe… He went to get it and it took quite a long time… When he came, I thanked him, still no respond, showing his sour face all the way. Then I didn’t know that my dish of lime and sambal actually hidden from my sight behind the bowl, I told him that how come there’s only one -.-” That made his face even more sour. I even apologized to him and his face was still the same, so sour. He just left like as if the whole world owes him a million dollar.

Annna and gLaDieZz’ left earlier because Annna had to attend a class. After breakfast, all of us sent Josh to the airport, just in time to board the plane hehehe… There is no way he’s going to miss his flight again! πŸ˜›

That’s all. So tired after the bloggers’ meet…

Only started blogging fully with a CMS in 2006. However, whatever was on the Internet will stay on the Internet. So... It should be still somewhere on the Internet. Then again... Why do you want to dig that far?
