Spooky Stories from Me

Posted on February 20, 2009February 20, 2009 By sweet surrender 6 Comments on Spooky Stories from Me

Warning: If you can’t take it, better don’t read. I’m not responsible if anything happens to you hahaha…

I really got nothing interesting to update lately and sorry for all the emo posts. Sigh…

Then, a thought hit me just now. Why don’t I share some spooky stories with you and you can also share yours with me by commenting, it would be interesting. It’s not Holloween, it’s not the 7th month of lunar calendar so it’s not so bad to share now after all ;p

I’m going to share two stories with you which I heard from my teacher in secondary school and also from my sister if not mistaken. It happened in the school. They are just stories, I don’t know how true they are. I guess it’s very common to hear spooky stories from schools. I’m sure you got a lot from your school too. I heard a lot from St. Joseph too. So here you go…

Story 1:
I heard this story from my sister(if I’m not mistaken, from the record I got from a forum I used to frequent and shared the stories there before) after I left the school.

There used to be a white-coloured statue of a student just next to the hall. I remember it was there when I first stepped into that school and I didn’t notice that it was demolished quite a long time ago. I always thought that it’s still there but my sister told me that it was demolished few years back even before she entered the school. In other words, it was demolished when I was still studying there but I didn’t notice. Pretty ignorance of me eh?

I was told that the reason that the statue was demolished because it could move!

Once a group of scouts was camping there during school holidays and at night a number of them suddenly saw the statue actually walked around the compound and then went back to the place where it’s supposed to be. After that, the school management decided to demolish that statue.

Story 2:
This was told by my BM teacher.

Our school had an archery field that was rented to SUKMA to train the atheletes. Now it’s an empty land because they have a place of their own to train. Nowadays, students always play football there.

Only during certain year, certain month, certain day, certain hour at midnight or wee hour (not so sure) a “Kampung” would appear at the field.

Those pass by will be able to see the houses, lights and the activities of the “kampung” people clearly. It will only appear for a while and then it’ll disappear. The “Kampung” was actually burnt down long long time ago before the school was built.

I have no idea how this story came out. Since the archery field is facing the main road, maybe people saw it before and that’s how the story started.

Anyway, that’s all. Two spooky stories for you but I don’t think they are spooky at all. In fact, it’s for my own record also as I almost forget all about them already.

All I Want to Say is…

Posted on February 19, 2009February 20, 2009 By sweet surrender 2 Comments on All I Want to Say is…

Please think of the consequences that I had told you. I don’t ask for more. All I want is that you understand what I’m thinking, what I’m worrying about all these while that made me acted that way.

I know I worry a lot. That’s me. Things that I worry always happened without fail. It’s not one time, many times. At the end, who was the one that helped you got tru’ all the mess? It’s me. Also, who was the one that always become the bad person? It’s me also. Not only that, who was the one that had to suffer? It’s me also! I don’t know why am I so stupid?

I had told you many times about the consequences when you decided to do this or that but you never listen or bother. You kept assuring me that it won’t happen and you just go ahead. Until at the end, I have to step in to help you with everything, be the devil’s advocate and ended up being hated by people.

For once, please take me seriously. You said it won’t happen as usual but from my experiences all these years, it did happen. How can I trust you again especially this time which related to the only thing and hope that I have?

I worry for the reasons I told you, all I hope is that you will take note of them and realised that these things can happen even though it’s not 100% as it directly affects me. If it doesn’t affect me, you think I will care so much and worry so much?

When it happens, I’m the one that will get hurt. You had hurt me enough with what you’ve done recently and I don’t want you to hurt me more. All I’m asking is please do not hurt me anymore, please take me seriously this time and ponder upon what I had told you.

I know you might not be able to digest what I had told you with your current state but you have to! You started it and you have to take the responsibility. It doesn’t only affect me but you also. You have to know how I feel before you take another leap. You are going too fast, way too fast for me to accept anything. Therefore I have to act fast to let you know all these before you go on to the next step.

I have to be selfish now, just like you. It’s for my well being. I’ve been always trying to be considerate with you but in return what do I get? All I got are your inconsiderate acts because you never think futhur, only care about what’s in front of you and jump right in.

Please… Go slow… Digest what I had told you and don’t make me go crazy and do things that have no advantage to any of us. For once, please go slow, it’s for your own good too. Going too fast will kill you fast.

I wish you all the best and if I do go crazy for no reason from time to time please understand what I’m going tru’. I am as stress as you are.

Thank you for your understanding and I really appreciate what you’ve been doing for me all these while.

Mister Bean @ Petanak

Posted on February 18, 2009February 18, 2009 By sweet surrender 9 Comments on Mister Bean @ Petanak

Mister Bean, is a fairly new place for dining in Kuching. Actually I saw it somewhere last year if not mistaken but never got the chance to try it out. So went over yesterday.

It’s just located opposite of Popwave and the ex-Bestberry(now known as Zest) at Petanak. They specialised in soya milk and beancurd(tau hu hua in Hokkien). According to the banner there, they are made from high grade bean from Canada, 100% pure and no preservative.

The interior is some sort of like Kaya & Toast and Zest. Ordered wedges(RM5) for fun. I think the portion is slightly small for RM5. Hmm…

Left: Chocolate soya milk(RM2.80), it should be soya milk added with chocolate syrup.

Right: Xin Ciau Beancurd(RM2.80), there’s two type for you to choose, cold or hot. What you see here is cold one. Not so sweet but the xin ciau(cincau) really took a bit of time for me to get used to as this is my first time having beancurd with xin ciau(cincau) served with crushed ice.

Quite an interesting place. I think the pricings are pretty much like Kaya & Toast.

For those health concious people, maybe you can try out this place. Not Halal, only no pork served.

p/s: The colour of the photos are quite dull because I’m using my phone, I didn’t bring my camera.

Hong Kong Noodle House @ Padungan (3)

Posted on February 17, 2009 By sweet surrender 9 Comments on Hong Kong Noodle House @ Padungan (3)

It’s been a while not posting eating out post. Last Sunday, mom didn’t cook, so we went out for dinner and ended up at Hong Kong Noodle House at Padungan again…

Left: The dried chili oil but it’s not oily, it’s quite dry. First time encounter the dry one here. It’s quite hard to dip when it’s not wet.

Right: I’m not sure what this is called, translate from the Chinese name is Champagne Pork Rib Rice, but in the menu it’s called Fried Pork Rib Rice and the one above it also got the same name. Therefore if you want to order, you have to know either the Chinese name or the number. For this case, it’s number 27. Too sweet for my liking. Last time I ordered, it came with cucumber slices and tomato, now not a single slice of any of those. The price? RM5.00.

Left: Roast Duck Noodle(RM4.50).

Right: Pork Porridge(RM3.50).

Saw this at the entrance so decided to order it to try. This is called Crispy Pork Intestine(RM8), a mixture of deep fried big and small pork intestine. Indeed very crispy. To me, I find it OK, not so bad but my parents didn’t like it, they said better eat Kueh Chap hahaha…

Songs I Used to Sing in Karaoke – Duet Collections

Posted on February 16, 2009February 18, 2009 By sweet surrender 6 Comments on Songs I Used to Sing in Karaoke – Duet Collections

Continue from Songs I Used to Sing in Karaoke – Solo Collections

Here’s my collections of duet songs that I used to sing in karaoke.

After I posted up the solo collections, I did get some people telling me that I can go to open concept karaoke(you sing in public) rather than in the room.

I did go to this kind of place few times and I really hate it! It’s not my kind of place, I hate the smoking(everyone is practically smoking), drinking(I don’t drink, soft drinks are just too expensive!), no freedom in song selection(flip the files and it takes time, if you decided to not sing the song halfway, you will have to wait for ages for your turn. You can’t experiement with new songs too), the number of songs you can sing(can only sing less than 5 songs in so many hours provided you go early during happy hour) and the waiting(if it’s almost full house, and your table got lots of people, you might have to wait for at least 45 minutes-1 hour to reach your table and it’s not your turn yet, it’s your friend’s turn!). Not worth my time, money and health. Everytime after those sessions, I will suffer from non-stop sneezing. I rather have singing marathon than having sneezing marathon. It sucksssssssssssss!

Even going to the room type karaoke, I have to choose who is to go with me also, I do not find smokers to go with me because they will surely light up and puff non-stop!

So yea… With all these reasons, it’s unlikely for me to go sing karaoke in any near future. As if I have the time for it hahaha…

The following are songs that I usually sing but too bad… No one can sing with me now also I have no time for it. Ah well… Just watch the videos and sing-along for now, what to do?

广岛之恋 – 莫文蔚&张洪量

你最珍贵 – 张学友& 高慧君
