Mister Bean @ Petanak

Posted on February 18, 2009February 18, 2009 By sweet surrender 9 Comments on Mister Bean @ Petanak

Mister Bean, is a fairly new place for dining in Kuching. Actually I saw it somewhere last year if not mistaken but never got the chance to try it out. So went over yesterday.

It’s just located opposite of Popwave and the ex-Bestberry(now known as Zest) at Petanak. They specialised in soya milk and beancurd(tau hu hua in Hokkien). According to the banner there, they are made from high grade bean from Canada, 100% pure and no preservative.

The interior is some sort of like Kaya & Toast and Zest. Ordered wedges(RM5) for fun. I think the portion is slightly small for RM5. Hmm…

Left: Chocolate soya milk(RM2.80), it should be soya milk added with chocolate syrup.

Right: Xin Ciau Beancurd(RM2.80), there’s two type for you to choose, cold or hot. What you see here is cold one. Not so sweet but the xin ciau(cincau) really took a bit of time for me to get used to as this is my first time having beancurd with xin ciau(cincau) served with crushed ice.

Quite an interesting place. I think the pricings are pretty much like Kaya & Toast.

For those health concious people, maybe you can try out this place. Not Halal, only no pork served.

p/s: The colour of the photos are quite dull because I’m using my phone, I didn’t bring my camera.

Only started blogging fully with a CMS in 2006. However, whatever was on the Internet will stay on the Internet. So... It should be still somewhere on the Internet. Then again... Why do you want to dig that far?
