8 Simple Delicious Raya Cookies Recipes 2023

Posted on April 13, 2023April 13, 2023 By sweet surrender No Comments on 8 Simple Delicious Raya Cookies Recipes 2023

How are your Raya 2023 preparations? Making any Raya cookies this year? Still thinking about what to make? I have 8 easy Raya Cookies recipes to share with you. I actually did them for CNY. However, you can also make it for the coming Raya celebrations.

1. Lemon Butter Cookies (No Egg, Less Sweet)

You can replace the lemon with orange to make Orange Butter Cookies. Feel free to use any mould or make any shape you want as long that it’s not over 4mm thick. Leave it in the freezer for at least 1 hour before baking to retain the shapes/patterns on the cookies.

2. Kuih Makmur (No peanut, no ghee, no egg, no sugar)

This is suitable for those who have peanut allergies or dislike ghee. I personally dislike the taste of ghee. Therefore, I’m using salted butter. I’ve tried various butter and margarine brands over the years. To me, Golden Churn gave the best taste. If you have a lactose intolerant issue, replace the milk powder with powdered/icing sugar or glucose.

3. Condensed Milk Semperit (Only 3 Ingredients)

For this recipe, if you do not have custard powder, just replace it with cornstarch. Also, if you have no semperit pump, just go ahead and shape it to any shape you like.

4. Cocoa Semperit (No added colouring, just cocoa powder)

This is actually the same as the condensed milk semperit above. Just add cocoa powder to the mixture and you are ready to go. You can even customize by making a matcha version or any other flavouring of your choice. There is no harm to be creative.

5. Salted Egg Semperit (Addictive, Sweet, and Salty)

Sweet and salty semperit that is very addictive. No colouring was used. Its colour is from the custard powder. The base is the same as condensed milk semperit and cocoa semperit (without the cocoa powder). Just need to add salted egg yolk powder to one of the mixtures. Either the white or the yellow one.

6. Brownie Crisps using Brownies Premix

This is so simple. Instead of making brownies, just spread the batter thinly and bake. You don’t have to worry about it going bad. Just need to store it in an airtight container. The tips and tricks can be found in the video. By the way, you can use any brand of brownies premix. All you need to do is follow the premix instructions and add 10ml to 20ml more water to it.

7. Salted Egg Cornflakes

Who doesn’t like cornflakes snacks? What’s more with salted egg flavour. So addictive. Why not replace the salted egg yolk powder with curry powder, cheese powder, chilli powder, etc?

8. Tomato Cornflakes

Something different. Tomato flavour! As simple as adding tomato sauce to it. Can even mix it with chilli sauce. Be creative! Replace it with teriyaki sauce, BBQ sauce, hot sauce, rendang/curry paste, etc.

Let me know after you’ve tried any of the recipe out.

Blogging since 2002. Anything before 2006 is no longer available. It is no longer on this server. Back then, I built my own blog and updated it using HTML. No database or anything. Only started blogging fully with a CMS in 2006. However, whatever was on the Internet will stay on the Internet. So... It should be still somewhere on the Internet. Then again... Why do you want to dig that far?
