Car Petrol Stolen

Posted on April 3, 2010April 4, 2010 By sweet surrender 6 Comments on Car Petrol Stolen

One of our cars has been targeted by various kind of thieves over the years, what to do? It’s just a common Perodua Kembara(the parts are in demand), can’t afford any unique car that could deter people from messing around it:
1. Attempted to steal our car but steering locks and alarm turned them off. At the end, they carted away stuffs in the drawer and broke our back door’s lock.

2. Stole our tyre cover, you know the cover to cover the spare tyre behind the 4×4? That one.

3. Attempted to steal again! Left a gaping hole at the driver’s side, took the lock away. They failed to drive the car away because of the alarm and steering locks.

4. Drained out petrol! @#$%^&* Stole our petrol!

***

I didn’t drive the car for almost a week until yesterday. I’m the one driving it most of the time. The last time I drove, the oil level was at the last level. Didn’t bother about it because won’t be driving it anywhere far so should be able to last for quite a while. I didn’t know my dad refueled it few days ago because I didn’t use the car those few days.

Yesterday morning, it was still around the same level as last week. I went to church with it. Nothing amiss.

Yesterday night, we decided to went out, my dad was shocked to see the oil level was at “E”, supposed to have at least half tank. At first, we thought the meter might be malfunctioned. To check on it, my dad went to refuel another half tank. If the meter wasn’t spoiled, then it should reach full tank but it didn’t. Instead it only rose till half the tank. Not only that, my dad had trouble closing the cover after refueling and noticed the bar in there was slightly crooked. Further checked, there were signs of forced entry.

The thief drained our petrol! *&%^$%# Stupid thief tried to drain our petrol from the top but couldn’t reach it because there wasn’t much petrol in there. He/She ended up went all the way down there to drain the petrol. How hardworking was that? Good thing my dad only refueled RM35 of fuel not full tank. Very hardworking for such little amount fuel. *smack head*

My dad said that he will not refuel the car to full tank from now on. Just refuel for enough to use for a week or two since we don’t always use this car. What to do? I’m not staying in a place with our own car porch, what to expect when you stay at shophouse? That’s why it’s an easy target.

That morning, there was still a bit left that’s why I didn’t notice anything as that’s almost the level I saw the last time I drove the car. Then towards the day, the oil evaporated and leak because the f***ing thief didn’t tighten the cap below the car causing the oil to leak out bit by bit! Only noticed it this today when my dad asked the mechanic next door to have a look at the fuel cover since the bar there was twisted. No wonder the meter dropped till “E”. Good thing was that the thief still had the heart to put the cap back rather than threw the cap away else we’ll be in huge trouble when refueling because we didn’t think of checking the cap down there.

Beware people! It seems like stealing other’s petrol is a growing trend now. I always heard of motorbikes suffering from such thing but now cars too.

1st April’s Fire at Bintawa

Posted on April 1, 2010April 3, 2010 By sweet surrender 6 Comments on 1st April’s Fire at Bintawa

Heard fire engine siren at home around 7pm. Didn’t bother much about it. Not long after that, we went out for Kueh Chap at Bintawa. Bintawa is one of the oldest industrial areas in Kuching housing major factories, mills, warehouses and offices.

Left: When we almost reached the boat roundabout at Bintawa, we saw fire engulfing the box carton factory, the one just next to the police station. -.-” The fire was huge, the whole building were on fire, from front to back, everything! We stopped for a while to have a look and I asked my bro to take pictures with his phone. I regretted that I didn’t bring my camera along! I would have clearer and better photos and videos to share.

Right: We went back there after dinner, went back to the scene and noticed the fire was spreading and the wind wasn’t helping. When we reached there, TC Motors’ (one building next to it) staffs were busy moving their trucks out of their compound but I doubt they could move all of them out because the trucks were huge and the road was small with a fire engine parked just few yards from its exit. The manager was busy salvaging the office’s documents.

Too bad, the back of the office and store of a coffee powder manufacturer caught fire too. The fire was getting bigger and bigger. TC Motor was at risk too. They were so near to each other, practically no fire breaker.

Decided not to stay there too long because the fire won’t be out any sooner. We left and saw many buildings’ owners of that area all rushed to the scene but couldn’t do anything. Even those located quite a distant from the fire scene also rushed to their premises to check on the condition whether they were at risk or not.

At the time I’m posting this, I don’t think the fire is out, it should be still raging. If not mistaken, I saw 4 or 5 fire engines.

Uploaded the videos too. Here’s the video links:

Finally!! Another food post! I used to blog a lot about food but it seems like not that much anymore lately instead it has some what becoming a beauty blog! What to do? I do not eat out much these days. I have tonnes of beauty product posts in queue summore. Aikss… I think I’m going to to loss readers that come to my blog for food. OH NO!

Anyway, here comes another food post ;p

Went for dinner at Uncle Lim Food Court at Sekama the other night with my family. We used to tapao the kolo beehoon/mee, beef noodle/beehoon from here. It’s easy to located, roadside only. Just next to the inn there. Don’t remember the name of the inn hahaha…

Left: Beef noodle.
Right: Beef beehoon.

I won’t say theirs are the best but it’s not so bad.

Left: Tomato noodle(RM3.70), very sweet -.-” No tomato taste.
Right: Taugeh mee(RM2.70), very sweet too, don’t like it. I love taugeh mee a lot, the only noodle dish that I will eat without complaining of being full after few mouths ;p

There’s not much choices to make at night but they have many choices during the day time such as lunch. The place is always packed at noon. In fact the place has its name changed quite a number of times. The name now is the latest, obviously…

Cellnique Advanced Bio Renewal Masque

Posted on March 30, 2010April 8, 2010 By sweet surrender 6 Comments on Cellnique Advanced Bio Renewal Masque

Remember the first Cellnique product I reviewed? It was the Cellnique Contour De-Puffy Jewel.

The second product that I tried from Cellnique was Cellnique Advanced Bio Renewal Masque. This 50g jar of masque costs RM159, the most expensive masque I ever tried. It’s an honour to be able to try it out.

I thought it’s blue in colour but when I opened it up, it’s grayish white. Then I smelt something… Soy sauce! Aiks… I sniffed it again, fruity smell. Then sniffed again, soy sauce! *LOL* Soy sauce-fruity-soy sauce-fruity-soy sauce…

The first time, I applied it on my face and the same smell greeted me, soy sauce-fruity-soy sauce-fruity-soy sauce… Very funny. Finally I figured out the fruity smell was actually pineapple smell. I suspected pineapple enzyme in there and I was correct! For the whole 10 minutes, I’m smelling soy sauce-fruity-soy sauce-fruity-soy sauce…

The grainy texture also serve as scrub. I’m using it once a week after cleansing my face. After 10 minutes, I wet it with some water and massage in circular motion before washing off the mask from my face. I was warned that it might have warm and tingling sensation at the cheek area and I really felt it for the whole 10 minutes the first time I used it but it’s not unpleasant, I quite enjoyed it ;p.

The second time I used it, the warm and tingling sensation only lasted for awhile. This time, no more soy sauce ;p maybe I got accustomed to the smell. The pineapple smell was so yummy, it made me hungry!

The following is from their own website:

Description
This unparalleled scrub mask is formulated with bio-captured fresh fruit enzymes and acids complex. It works effectively in exfoliating dead cells, optimizing cellular renewal performance and deep pore cleansing, thus revealing a softer, fresher and healthier skin.

Benefits
– Promotes cell renewal
– Slows down aging process
– Exfoliates dead skin cells
– Lightening, brightening and instant radiant effects

BioCELL eL
Advanced Bio Renewal Masque contains 20% BioCELL eL, Cellnique’s exclusive acid complex formulation that uses AHAs to accelerate cell renewal rates, enzymes and vitamins to neutralize and prevent possible irritation by the acids.

Alpha Hydroxyl Acid
AHAs are known to have the ability to rejuvenate skin by exfoliating dead cells from the skin, this further causes the skin to grow new cells to replace the damaged cells. AHAs also helps in wrinkles and photo-aging.

Enzyme

  • Papaya enzyme + Bromelain from pineapple fruit extract
  • Bromelain, an enzyme derived from pineapple plant, Bromelain helps digest keratin protein and promote exfoliation effectively. Skin appears smooth and brightens after the dead skin cells being removed.
  • Papain, an enzyme derived from papaya, helps exfoliate damaged and dead skin cells to prevent clogged pores that can result in skin eruptions. It is able to whiten and soften the skin, heal wounds and prevent the subsequent development of pimples.

Full Ingredients List:
Purified Water (Aqua), Glycerin, Kaolin, Glycolic Acid, Glyceryl Stearate, Cetyl Alcohol, C12-20 Acid PEG-8 Ester, Polysorbate 20, Potassium Cetyl Phosphate, Papaya (Carica papaya) Enzyme (Papain), Phenoxyethanol, Trithanolamine, Caprylyl Glycol, Titanium Dioxide, Citric Acid, Pomelo (Citrus grandis) Peel Extract, Pineapple (Ananas sativus) Fruit Extract, Acrylate / C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Fragrance, Disodium EDTA, Methylparaben, Ethylparaben, Propylparaben, Butylparaben, Potassium Sorbate.

I like the after feel. My skin looked and felt so smooth and clean.

My skin looked quite rough before the masque, then after that it looked so smooth. The after photo was actually slightly blurred so the skin looked so smooth but this was what I saw with naked eyes too.

The photo was taken with macro mode. Seeing my skin in macro gave me a chill -.-” all those pigmentations, blackheads, pores and so on really freak the hell out of me. Really cannot play play with this. I’m not young anymore! I really hope with constant use of this mask, my pigmentation will be in control.

Anyway, you notice the arrows? That’s one of the clogged pores and it was gone after the masque session.

I quite like this masque but the price is a bit steep as usual but I might be able to use it for quite long because I don’t have to use much. I estimated that if I used it once a week religiously, it might be able to last me a year or more. So… Price wise, maybe it’s not that expensive after all.

What I don’t like about it is that it doesn’t come with spatula, so it’s not that hygienic.

However, please take note if you have very sensitive skin. This product might not be suitable for you because it contains AHA.

Girl Stuffs, Review It!
