Finally my second IELTS result is out, same result but different scoring pattern.

This is what I got previously..

This time…

I thought I did very well in the listening this time but aiksss… How come such result? I’m expecting a band score of above 8! Maybe it’s too easy this time around until they adjusted the scale.

As expected… Reading was bad, writing wasn’t very confident too. Ended up, I got 6.5 for reading, fell from the previous 7, I couldn’t complete section 3 and I was expecting the worst. There’s nothing change for writing, what a relief ;p However, still not satisfied but I knew I didn’t do well in it that time.

Speaking improved 1 band, quite happy with it because the topic given to me was the one I did prepare for! So lucky! I saw the topic the night before the test and prepared for it. On that day itself, I was hoping I won’t be getting that topic but I ended having it. Luckily I had prepared the necessary answers for it. Phew… I have no idea why I’m always given with such difficult topic or topic I’m not well-versed in. Good thing I saw this topic and took the trouble to prepare for it. I thought of skipping it some more! Thank goodness.

The average is 7 but still not all 7. At least, this time it’s nearer to the requirement. Good thing for the rounding up, else it’ll be below 7! However, the previous one got an average of exactly 7, no rounding up required all thanks to the listening part. So, I have no idea whether to say there’s improvement or not. No matter what, plan has to be changed and I have my backup plan ready.

Oh well… I don’t want to stress myself too much about IELTS anymore. That’s my English standard so just accept it. I don’t want to resit anymore, it’s not feasible at all.

Do you know that My Chicken Restaurant is opening another branch at Pending? It started business since last week, about a week ago.

It’s located at the same row of Unaco, the new commercial centre at Pending, near Yoshi Square.


Went there on its opening for lunch with my family. There’s opening promotion so we bought the promotion set. The one on the left was the promotion set. The one on the right is the free set that came with the promotion set. All together RM9+, quite worth it if compare to normal priced items on the menu. Each came with a cup of soft drink too.

The other time we bought the fried chicken back, it’s cold when reached home. This time we decided to dine there to reassess the taste. Hmm… Salt and pepper but more salt. It’s not the same like KFC or McD. The more I ate the saltier it got.

Wanna try out LANCÔME TEINT MIRACLE? The latest liquid foundation by LANCÔME. I saw it in Facebook and decided to try it out. You can check out the details here.

Before I went, I took my before photo with very light makeup(foundation, blusher, mascara) on.

In the after photo, everything on my face was by LANCÔME but please bear in mind that the mini makeover given only include LANCÔME TEINT MIRACLE foundation, blusher, lip colour, and mascara. Mine had more than that because of some reasons I don’t think I can disclose. Sorry about that. Hope you understand.

Can you see any difference? I mean the foundation, seems no difference right? It’s so natural that as if you don’t have any foundation on! Except the smooth skin and the face feature looked more 3D. It didn’t work any wonder for my dark circles. Anyway, it’s not a concealer so ignore that dark circles ;p

It was so lightweight! I was blown away by the lightness! It felt as if nothing on my face if I am to compare it with the other liquid foundation that I had tried before. You only need a little bit of it for the whole face because it’s very easy to spread. I highly recommended it even though the price is quite steep for most people, RM130 for 30ml. I’m holding the sample. My shade is BO-01.

Well… I’m not really the liquid foundation kind of person, my way of makeup is usually very quick and easy. Lack of time, I’ll have foundation, blusher, and lip balm; Have a bit more time, add on with eyeshadow; Even more time, I’ll have mascara to add on. I prefer to use two-way cake. I only use liquid foundation when I have tonnes of time to spare, want a better coverage or when attend some formal evening events.

All right, a very quick update of this latest event. Tomorrow is the last day of this bridal fair, Wedding @ Pullman that started yesterday. I managed to pay a quick visit to it today.

There’s various competitions running throughout the day. Tomorrow, there’s cake decoration contest if I’m not mistaken.

There’s also many stage performances. I managed to catch one today, dances by Earth Dance.

Yi Ann Coffee Shop

Yi Ann Coffee Shop is located at Sekama. One of the shops opposite Shell. Not directly opposite but somewhere opposite, it can’t be seen from the main road as it’s at the back. There’s a few coffee shops there so you will have to locate it. Hmm… Not sure how to explain the location. If you know The Big Bean coffee shop, then it’s somewhere there.


The place was quite packed during lunch hour. Went there for the clay pot dishes. The rice was RM1.50 per plate.


Left: Pork intestine soup(I think it’s RM5). The soup was pepper soup, really very peppery. Enough for 2-3 persons to share.

Right: Bitter gourd soup(I think it’s RM5 too). Enough for 2-3 person to share too. Taste wise, it tasted a sit supposed to be.

I do recommend the clay pot dishes here as it’s priced reasonably unlike certain place at Song Thian Cheok Road.
