Tomorrow’s Leader Summit – Day Two

Posted on March 23, 2011March 23, 2011 By sweet surrender 2 Comments on Tomorrow’s Leader Summit – Day Two

Day one started at 9am but I only reached there at 9.30am because I had some last minute matter to attend to.

Nobel Laureate, Professor Douglas D. Osheroff. In case you’re wondering, he won The Nobel Prize in Physics in 1996.

Didn’t catch most of the things he talked about *LOL* Too scientific and deep for normal people like us to understand ;p However, did learn some strategies and skills from him about how to be successful. I missed out some parts because I went to the toilet. I heard he did talk about his marriage but I missed it and this was the part where most remembered and could digest.

After that, we had time for some refreshments.

Left: Norman introduced Deputy Minister of Social Development & Urbanisation (Youth & Training) Sarawak – Y.B. Larry Sng Wei Shien to us. Of course, we took photo with him. The youngest YB in Malaysia. He won his first election when he was only 22! I hope I recall it correctly.

Very handome right? I couldn’t recognize him when I first saw him in person at Starbucks as all those time I saw him in the newspapers only. He’s better looking in person hahaha… Too bad girls… Don’t put any hope, he’s married. If not mistaken he’s around my age.

Norman chatted to him for almost 2 hours standing up! I was there with them too. The 3 of us stood there at the back of the hall talking while the other delegates participated in the Leaders Panel Session. I was more like listening than talking ;p If not because the PM’s and CM’s wives were coming, I think the conversation wouldn’t stop.

Ok… Note to self, next time I must not stand with my side facing the camera because I looked so small when I’m already small enough hahaha…

Right: As usual Puan Sri Ragad, our CM’s wife with some people I don’t know ;p She’s always the centre of attraction wherever she goes.

As usual, Datin Paduka Sri Rosmah Mansor gave her speech. I didn’t get to take photo with her, some bloggers did if I’m not mistaken.

I had no one helping me with it and there were so many people trying to have their photos taken with her and I overheard some of the staffs were complaining that it’s taking too long. So I scrapped the idea. The photo on the right is how near I managed to get to her.

Some bloggers also managed to take photos with the CM’s wife. I didn’t get the chance too because same case, too many poeple. If I was sitting with my friends, then it’s much easier.

After the morning session ended, we took our opportunity to take photos with each other. In fact I have no idea since when I started to get pretty lazy to take out my camera to take photos with people and relied on others’ cameras which usually ended up I didn’t manage to get a copy for printout. Bad, bad, bad…

Here with guests from Singapore, Yap Kwong Weng from United Nations Association of Singapore(the one with blue tie) and David(second row, standing at the right most) who is a teacher from Singapore.

Another shoot. In this photo, we’re all below 30 years old!

I didn’t think of attending the workshop in the afternoon because I have some other thing on in the afternoon but I managed to get back at 4.45pm. Wanted to join Fashion workshop which started at 4.30pm but it was full so I joined Journalism.

Grace Ng from NTV7 was the speaker. We were required to come out with our business plan which was media related such as website, online TV show, newsletter and etc in a team of 3 or 2. It was easy for Cyril and I as we were not new in such thing hehehe… So we got Priscilla to pitch her idea and we expanded it from there but too bad she left earlier.

Last but not least, our group photo.

I did not join the activities on Day Three. It was the declarations and I heard there was very intense debate by the youths and they rejected the declarations. Not sure how it ended though. However, it was an interesting experience for those who managed to join the declarations.

Hi Irene, looks very interesting. And very nice pics taken too.
I guess working life there’s always these conventions, talks, forums to attend. Very educational most times. Other times can be yawwwnny.

There’s a lady in previous posting with long hair. Who is she? She’s gorgeous, ha ha.
    Have a nice day.
    Lee.

Blogging since 2002. Anything before 2006 is no longer available. It is no longer on this server. Back then, I built my own blog and updated it using HTML. No database or anything. Only started blogging fully with a CMS in 2006. However, whatever was on the Internet will stay on the Internet. So... It should be still somewhere on the Internet. Then again... Why do you want to dig that far?
