Road Trip to Betong – Part 4

Posted on March 6, 2010March 6, 2010 By sweet surrender No Comments on Road Trip to Betong – Part 4

Continue from yesterday post…

I’ll just let the photos do the talking.

These are random photos that I had taken when we walked around the town.

We found out that there’s no Toto or Magnum there. Only Special Cash Sweep. Interesting eh?

Left: The landmark, it’s rubber tree sculpture.

Right: The coffee shop where we had our lunch, it’s called Popular Food Court.

Ordered kolo mee and kolo beehoon, RM2.50 each. I’m not sure usually the black pudding or blood pudding is included or not.

It just happened that my dad saw it there and asked the cook about it because he had not eat and seen it for decades! Then when we were served, we saw two cubes on each bowl.

This is my first time seeing and eating it. I kept hearing my dad talking about it and how my grandma used to cooked it when he was little. Finally, I got to see and taste it. The taste? Hmm… Nothing much… Tasteless. The texture was pudding like.

After lunch, we sent my bro back to his camp and we made our way down to Kuching after that.

This! The view that I missed during the previous trip when we were on the highest hill because it was raining. Now I got to take photo of it! The view was breathtaking! You’ll get better view especially if you’re driving higher vehicle.

Nice right?

That’s the end of my Betong road trip. My bro will be back next week and that’s also the end of his national service. Don’t think there will be any road trip in near future because it’s really not our cup of tea. That’s all for now.

Blogging since 2002. Anything before 2006 is no longer available. It is no longer on this server. Back then, I built my own blog and updated it using HTML. No database or anything. Only started blogging fully with a CMS in 2006. However, whatever was on the Internet will stay on the Internet. So... It should be still somewhere on the Internet. Then again... Why do you want to dig that far?
