Posted on April 13, 2007January 17, 2014 By sweet surrender 8 Comments on Lime Cornflakes Cookies

Sorry people. I had tried my best yesterday. I had to do it. Please don’t hate me.:P

Did this for Chinese New Year. Finally can blog about it. Actually I modified the recipe again from Honeystar Cookies.

Ingredients:
A
100gm butter
110gm fine sugar

B
1 egg yolk
1 tablespoon of lime juice

C
120gm self rising flour
100gm conrflakes

Instrcutions:
1. Beat A until light and creamy.

2. Stir in B and beat for 1 minute.

3. Fold in flour (C). Mix well.

4. Take a little bit of the dough, not too big coz it will expand to a bigger size. 1/2 teaspoon will do. Coat the dough with finely crushed cornflakes.

5. Place in papercups

6. Bake for 15 mintues at 170 degree Celcius.

TADA! Final product.

Try it out πŸ™‚

Fried Kiaw

Posted on April 11, 2007April 11, 2007 By sweet surrender 2 Comments on Fried Kiaw

“Kiaw” should be called “meat dumpling” in English right? Hahahah… Today, I’m teaching you how to do fried meat dumpling. As if I’m the pro, this is my frist time doing it. I don’t even now how to wrap the meat with the “skin”. Hahaha… I simply wrapped and then fried it. Hahahahha… Make sure you add some salt and peppers in the meat and mix well. By the way, usually pork is used. I had never heard of chicken or other meat are used in “Kiaw” πŸ˜› You can get the “skin” at supermarket(sometimes) and vegetable/meat market.

The result? I didn’t put enough salt and the way I wrapped them had caused them to collect oil. Hahahah.. Super oily! It’s crispy though hahaha… Will try again next time. This is great for tea time or just eat it for fun.

Something Good

Posted on April 10, 2007April 16, 2007 By sweet surrender 2 Comments on Something Good

YES! I’m back to blog about it. First of all, I’m sure you notice that I’ve been blogging a lot these few days and after each post, there would be a commercial break. Sorry hahaah… πŸ˜› I couldn’t resist the temptation of USD after being deprived of earning some USDs the other week. At least I do give you something rather than all paid posts right? It’s not that bad right? (-.-“) Feel a bit guilty hehehe… OK! Enough of that! Here’s something I want to share with you and be my witness(es) πŸ˜› Because I’m afraid that I might change my mind later as you know how money crazy I am. *LOL*

First of all, this is NOT A PAID POST! Advertlets had credited RM50 to my account after writing a review for them. Finally! Here’s the proof!

Since I can’t take the money out yet until it reaches RM200 so I decided to donate the RM50. You got it right! DONATE IT! I hope I will not change my mind halfway typing this. πŸ˜›

I’m donating it to Yvonne Foong. Some of you might know her, some might not. I knew about her case since the last 2 years but I didn’t do anything to help. Now the chance is here! Josh, how to do it? Give my RM50 to her.

Who is she? Some of you might be wondering. Yvonne was only 16 years old when doctors diagnosed her with a rare genetic disorder called Neurofibromatosis Type 2. Again… You must be wondering what is Neurofibromatosis Type 2, right? Click here to learn more. Due to this, she needs a lot of money for her treatment. If you want to know more about her, then click to read about her story. You cal also contact her at yvonnefmn(at)gmail(dot)com

As you can see from the above picture, these are the things available for sale in her website to raise fund for her medical treatment. The book, IÒ€ℒm Not Sick, Just A Bit Unwell, is written by her. If you would like to help, you can buy them or you can just donate money to her. At first I planned to buy something from her but I don’t really need those things. I don’t buy just for the sake of buying, I don’t see there is any meaning in there.

Yvonne is a member of the Adverlets network, and also part of the Advertlets Philantrophy program which allows members within the network to sponsor their earnings to other deserving individuals. Through Adverlets, Yvonne Foong will be able to raise much needed funds for her medical expenses. So I was thinking, why don’t I give my first Adverlets earning to her? That would be better. I’m sure I can cover that RM50 with Advertlets soon.

I’m impress with the way she handles life, I don’t think I have this kind of strenght at all, I’m sure most of us don’t. Anyway, GANBATTE YVONNE!

Sarawak Museum

Posted on April 9, 2007April 11, 2007 By sweet surrender 3 Comments on Sarawak Museum

I can’t recall when was the last time I’m here. Besides, the museum still reamins the same after so long. Didn’t manage to visit DinoTrek so we went to the museum to get some cold air, it’s was so hot out there. No cameras and videos allow in there but with the invention of cameraphone, how is it possible to stop people from taking photos? Most people did it sneakily with their phone, hahaha… Me too but I think they knew about it because there are so many hidden cameras in the museum.

So… Here are some views of our museum taken with my bro’s phone πŸ˜› Almost got caught I think… Coz just few seconds after I took a shoot at the petroleum section, the guard walked in just to scare us I guess. My act might be recorded in the video too hahaha… I’m not the only doing it anyway. I think they are worry about the flash of the camera that will spoilt the artifacts in there. Of course for security purpose too since there are many valuable artifacts in there.

Sarawak Musuem.

Left: Petroleum section.
Right: Underwater section.

Left: Killer whale skeleton.
Right: Preserved animals section.

Left: Local artifacts at the second floor.
Right: “Gong”.

Hope you enjoy the brief tour. By the way, if you would like to visit the musuem for free, please donate to the museum to ensure free entrance is possible in time to come because due to the escalating maintenance cost, they might have to charge for entering next time if the donating part can’t work out.

Bak Kut Teh Again…

Posted on April 9, 2007April 10, 2007 By sweet surrender No Comments on Bak Kut Teh Again…

Last Friday was Good Friday. Dad said that he wanted to eat some pork leg rice for lunch at one of the coffeeshops at Jalan Song Thian Cheok(hope I got the spelling correct hahahaha…). This one is the same row as Junction Cafe or near the MAS office. Quite an old shop and they have been in business for decades.

Left: The soups(don’t-know-what-soup[I only know it’s very salty], curry[tasteless]) and chili for the pork rice.

Right: Rice for bak kut teh and pork rice.

Left: This is the pork that I mentioned just now. This is portion for two. Not so bad.

Right: Bak kut teh for one person. If you order for two person, you will get two claypots, each person will have one claypot. The bak kut teh was so salty. I couldn’t taste any herbs in there but salt.

The total bill for 4 was RM22 with two drinks(ice lemon tea and canned drink). Quite cheap don’t you think? However, the bak kut teh *shake head*

Blogging since 2002. Anything before 2006 is no longer available. It is no longer on this server. Back then, I built my own blog and updated it using HTML. No database or anything. Only started blogging fully with a CMS in 2006. However, whatever was on the Internet will stay on the Internet. So... It should be still somewhere on the Internet. Then again... Why do you want to dig that far?
