Unsure, Confused

Posted on July 14, 2010July 15, 2010 By sweet surrender 18 Comments on Unsure, Confused

I had made a decision to pursue something next year. Then I stumbled upon a blog of a girl who did almost the same thing as what I’m planning to do. I read what she had gone tru’ and it got me thinking twice, I feel very unsure and confused now. I’m not sure am I making the right decision, is it worth it for me to spend such money for it?

With my plan, I can’t completely get what I want but at least enough to fulfill part of my dream and at least have the chance to get the other part of my dream fulfilled if I’m lucky. This is when the ego, id, and superego is taking place.

I had not committed to the decision officially but currently is in the process of doing so. Almost there, this month end will be one of it. Anyway, I guess I shouldn’t be thinking too much, just take whatever I had read as an advise or a guide. When I’m finally there, I’ll just let things go as the flow.

I can’t really reveal the whole thing yet else I might jinx it *LOL* Let just say there are already some people that knew what my plan is going to be. The response I got mostly was “you might end up getting married there” or “you’ll find someone and get married there” hahaha… Well… Maybe… I don’t know… Have to take two to tango. Not surprising with such response since that’s what many people are doing at my age now but I don’t see all these coming my way, getting married is the last thing in my mind now. Who knows suddenly I announce that I’ll be getting married *LOL*

That’s all I can tell for now. I know you are very eager to know but I really cannot reveal it until everything is official. Let’s just say you will get to know about it some where in September or before November. Finger crossed.

Hada Labo Super Hyaluronic Acid Moisturizing Lotion

Posted on July 13, 2010July 14, 2010 By sweet surrender 2 Comments on Hada Labo Super Hyaluronic Acid Moisturizing Lotion

I was hunting high and low for Hada Labo Super Hyaluronic Acid Moisturizing Lotion when I saw the advertisement on TV. I got to know about it from the Taiwanese beauty show(Nv Ren Wo Zhui Da, 女人我最大), they mentioned that one bottle is sold every 4 seconds in Japan. Interesting… Every time I happened to come across Guardian, I would definitely look for it and couldn’t find it for months! Saw the moisturizing milk but not the lotion.

Then finally one day, Ann told me she saw it at Guardian so I asked her to help me buy it before it’s gone from the shelf. I’m not sure whether before that it was selling like hot cakes until no more stock or it had not reached here. After Ann found it, I found it at Guardian too few days later. I guess it happened that the stock just got in, the stock was never here until that time.

Few days ago, I popped by Guardian and there’s no more stock on the shelf except the moisturizing milk. *gulp*

This bottle costs RM40.90, 170ml. Since I have a small face, I only need 2 drops each time. I was expecting it to be very sticky and took quite awhile to absorb but it didn’t.

In fact, you don’t have to pat so hard like what the girl did *LOL* It absorbed quite quickly for me, could be due to the dehydration of my skin. I have dry skin. Everywhere I go, any beautician will surely “attack” me with my dry skin problem *LOL* That’s why when I found out about the availability of this product in Malaysia, I was so eager to get hold of it. I usually don’t spend more than RM30 on skincare product but for this I’m willing because I only use a little every time which means it will last me quite long.

I’ve been using it for half month already(day and night), my sis was sharing it with me when she’s back. The bottle is still quite full. Really no smell at all not even a little chemical smell that you will usually get from fragrance free products.

I used it after cleansing, it’s basically a toner. In Japan, lotion refers to toner, milk refers to moisturizer. My moisturizer absorb fully and left my skin smooth to touch instead of feeling a layer of stickiness or greasiness that I usually felt after moisturizing. My t-zone is less oily too. There isn’t any breakout too.

If I’m hardworking enough:
Hada Labo Super Hyaluronic Acid Moisturizing Lotion -> Garnier Aqua Defense Refreshing Toner(for extra moisture since this toner can also serve as face mist) -> thick layer of Garnier Aqua Defense Essence

Sometimes, especially if I had makeup on that day as we all know that toner with cotton can help in removing those leftover impurities after cleansing:
Garnier Aqua Defense Refreshing Toner -> Hada Labo Super Hyaluronic Acid Moisturizing Lotion -> thick layer of Garnier Aqua Defense Essence

Here’s a misconception that I found out from many people, do take note:
You MUST apply moisturizer after this lotion. MUST! Super Hyaluronic Acid doesn’t moisturize your skin instead it preps your skin to absorb moisture which is from your moisturizer and lock the moisture. That’s why there something about locking the ocean(you can find it in their website) in the advertisement. It helps in locking moisture, it does not moisturize on its own. So if you do not feed it with the needed moisture, it got nothing to lock and serve no purpose at all. It was also mentioned in Nv Ren Wo Zhui Da aka 女人我最大 too, they kept highlighting that you must moisturize after using Super Hyaluronic Acid.

So far I’m quite happy with this product. We’ll see how it goes in the long run. Hopefully I don’t jinx it ;p

Oh ya… Go join the Facebook group and get free sample, I’m waiting for mine, hopefully it will arrive 😉

Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Moisturizing Lip Balm

Posted on July 12, 2010July 13, 2010 By sweet surrender No Comments on Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Moisturizing Lip Balm

I decided to try out Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Moisturizing Lip Balm when I finished my long-time favourite, Lip Ice Fruity.

Guess what??!? I regretted this buy. I should just stick back to Lip Ice Fruity.

It’s so hard to apply. I had to pull and tuck my lips just to get a coat of lip balm. Smell wise was yummy but it’s tasteless. As for the texture, it felt pretty dry. It’s matte and non greasy on the lips unlike the usual lip balm I’m using. I guess that explains why I have to use some pressure when applying it.

Besides that, it could also easily crumble into pieces during application.

One more thing, I experience stinging sensation when I used it and I hate that! Very uncomfortable. It lasted quite awhile. I didn’t experience it the first week I used it. It didn’t moisturize as much as I had expected.

Guess what? I have no idea why there’s grainy texture too. It wasn’t like this in the beginning.

I don’t like the packaging too.

Won’t go back to it after I’m done with it.

Original Silhouette Pizza

Posted on July 11, 2010July 12, 2010 By sweet surrender 2 Comments on Original Silhouette Pizza

There are quite a number of people still not aware that Silhouette at tHe Spring is no longer in operation. So… Now you know ;p

Anyway, many people like its pizzas including me. When I found out that it’s closed, I was thinking how about its pizza? Then later I found out that there’s a stall in Food Bazaar, food court of tHe Spring, selling Silhouette pizza. So I decided to try it out few days ago with my bro.

The choices offered were different, the prices were different too. Each pizza costs RM12. The size is similar to the regular size of Pizza Hut.

We ordered turkey ham and mushroom pizza. We were told that we had to wait for 10 minutes. We sat there at the counter and watched them making the pizza and baking it. Finally, it’s out! The cheese was really thick! The crust and the look was different to those I had last time. The one here looked pretty messy.

Basically it’s totally different from the taste to the look and to the size but tasted good enough for me. If it’s slightly saltier like it used to be it would be better.

Busy, Busy Days

Posted on July 10, 2010July 11, 2010 By sweet surrender 2 Comments on Busy, Busy Days

Been pretty busy these days and sleeping late, almost 1am every night. What to do? Too many things to do. Less than a week to go…

Got my assignments, time to get busy again. Then a new project is coming in too. Some more, another exam to sit this month end.

Sunday will come soon, half of July will be gone soon! Eeekk… So fast! Soon… I’ll be having my practical for 2 months or so(since there’s public holidays in between so replacement needed to fulfill the credit hour), damn… Think of it and I feel so sien… I dread the early and fixed working hours. I wonder I can survive or not.

As far as I know, I quit my job last time after working for less than 6 months because I hate such routine, it made me very miserable. That’s how I ended doing what I’m doing now. Hmm… This coming one is only 2 months plus, 6 hours max a day, should be fine but with no pay! The part with no pay is making me dreading it even more! Oh well… By hook or by crook have to get tru’ it else I can’t get my cert. Next year, I might be doing the same thing also sigh… No pay too but less hours required compare to the coming one. However, it will be a totally new environment, nothing close to what I’m having here and I’m on my own.

I’m a lazy girl ;p Nuff’ said.
